Meet the Business Owner
Tad N.
Business Owner
Tad Nelson is a native Texan, born and raised on Galveston Island. In 1983, Mr. Nelson graduated from Ball High School before leaving for Austin to attend the University of Texas.
In 1991, Mr. Nelson returned to Galveston where he served as an Assistant District Attorney for three years under the direct supervision of Michael J. Guarino. Mr. Guarino was elected District Attorney of Galveston County in 1982 and served in that capacity until he stepped down in 2003 to enter private practice after five terms. During his time in the District Attorney’s office, Mr. Nelson learned the ins and outs of the criminal law field and gained a new perspective on the system and those who found themselves in the middle of it.
Realizing that he wanted to build a law practice to help those he encountered during his time as an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Nelson began building a criminal defense practice in 1995 that focused on the client’s well being rather than the fee the client could generate. Af
