Upper Kirby Car Wash

I do believe in second chances. So, I gave Upper Kirby Car Wash another chance. They did not leave any lint after drying my vehicle today, and that’s where the good stops. The shift supervisor, team lead, manager, or whatever his title is that «greeted» me, said loosely, and took my «wash order» was beyond non-​professional. My vehicle only needed a basic wash because the interior was clean, but he still tried to up-​sell me. When I didn’t buy his sales tactics, his cold demeanor became frigid. The actual workers who washed my vehicle were efficient. Good luck Upper Kirby Car Wash!

I always get my car washed and end up being so disappointed because I feel I could’ve done a way better job myself — but not here! They did a wonderful job and I will definitely be back! Thanks guys!

After having a terrible morning and spilled coffee all over the interior of my car, I called and asked if they could fit me in at 5 pm that day. While I was there, Carlos was so courteous and very helpful with picking cleaning service options. They were fast, did an excellent thorough job, and I will definitely be coming back to Upper Kirby Car Wash! Highly recommend!

I always get the executive wash for $ 25. The guys there are very attentive, they work very hard. I thought it was a bit expensive but when I see my cleaned car, I always think again that it was worth it. This is not a machine wash, it’s actually manually washed by guys so they make sure all the dirt is off! Lovely!

Great job! Car looked brand new and all the dog hair was gone from interior. Can’t recommend them more.

Slow and steady decline. Late starts, change starting to miss again (so I have to take all my change with me), lackadaisical service at times, and details are generally starting to slip. On verge of 3 stars soon.

I took my car to be cleaned and these guys wanted to charge me 30 extra dollars for just cleaning my pet’s hair… That’s a scam!

This place does a good job on cars for a reasonable price. I’ve been multiple times and always had a great experience, that is – until today.
I asked for the $ 20 wash, and he looked up my account and said I got the $ 30 the last two times. I agreed to the $ 30 instead, and I think it made him think I would agree to anything. He made me come back out to my car after the wash already began to say that the dog hair would be an extra $ 30. What?! I’ve never been charged extra and they always did a wonderful job with the fur. I said just to vacuum normally and not worry about any excess because I didn’t want to pay. When I checked out, he said «it was the right type of dog fur so they were able to get it out with a basic vacuum.» Which, was great, but wouldn’t have been had I agreed to pay double the price! I felt very scammed, and probably won’t return as I don’t like skeezy car places who try to rip people off (especially young women they think they can take advantage of).
I can’t go so far as to say «don’t go!» Because this was one bad egg employee, but be very wary of being manipulated.

Ok sooooo this place use to be called «South Beach» and it’s still ran by the same guy, the SAME GUY that took MY Pro-​Charged mustang for a drive around the block because «he thought it would be ok since he had a mustang also» unmm no it wasn’t ok! Anyway, I didn’t know the same guy still owned it or else I would’ve gone else where. I told them, the windows were dirty due to my pups being in the back and there was hair that needed to be cleaned up. It’s mostly my fault for not checking their work BUT COME ON, you pay someone to do something and you expect it to be done. I had to do touch ups when I got home. Needless to say… I won’t be going back.
Edit: the owner Mike contacted and explained he is a new owner. The employees just don’t know who they are working for I guess lol. I still stand by my review on the service not being good. He has offered to clean my Jeep and remove the pet hair for free. I will take him up on this offer. New review coming when I get it done.

I had a tremendous amount of swirls and halos on my hood due to a poor paint job after a collision. The manager Mike Norng responded to all emails promptly and professionally about whether they could be buffed out. After they worked on it a first time, there were still a few deeper swirls in the clear coat. I contacted Mike and I was able to bring it back so they could work on it a second time at no charge, no questions asked. Now the car is swirl free.
Bottom line, the work is great, and the customer service is even better.

What a great place to get your car washed! This was my first visit but won’t be my last. The guys there were genuine, friendly and worked like dogs to get my car spotlessly clean. I got the deluxe package (leather interior treatment, floor mats, etc.) but was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I visited with one of my fellow customers — who is a regular — and he had nothing but nice things to say about the place. I highly recommend these guys, Plus, it seems as though you are supporting a small local business rather than the corner Chevron station with the obligatory attached car wash.

Overall OK and fairly priced for the area. However, they only received a 3 star review (which isn’t terrible.) because they failed to do a great job. I went in for a wash and wax (I forget the name of the package) for $ 85. I get the car back and noticed a that a couple of the wheels were obviously not cleaned very well and they could of done a better job on the wax. What really ticked me off was when I noticed that they had done a terrible job cleaning the inside of the windshield and back window… come on guys!
It was my first time there, I might give them another try or go down a few blocks back to my regular place.

Drop my car off. Then went to have lunch. Came back and never seen my car look so clean! Great job guys! Will be coming back.

Great wash — very thorough. Pretty expensive though. Nice staff.
Bottom line: I’ll be back if my car needs a seriously thorough wash again.

These guys do a very nice job for a reasonable price. Their waiting room area is comfortable.

Good but not perfect. Went in today for an executive wash (25 dollars). My car had a lot of dead bugs on the front bumper and rear bumper was really dirty too. They did a good job on cleaning the car that the body looks flawless after its done. They don’t just clean the car well but also dry it properly (some car wash don’t dry it well and leave some water drops on which would leave water mark once it dries.) Upper Kirby car wash Exceeded my expectation. However, they didn’t completely clean the rims and left behind grease and dirt on it. (see photos) Close to perfection.

I brought my car for a full detail when the shop opened at 8am and was the only customer. Luckily for me, this meant 2 – 3 people were working on making my car spotless! I opted for the Presidential Wash (full inner and outer detail) and used the Thursday 10% off coupon, so that brought my total to $ 135. (On Mondays there is a deal for a $ 125 Presidential Wash!!)
As the parent of an extremely active pup, my car is consistently coated with a layer of dog hair and I have nose marks and dried drool on all the windows and most surfaces. I never bother to clean it out, because it would be a vicious cycle to maintain. Obviously, my car was downright dirty. The professional and talented employees managed to bring my car to near perfect condition in just 1 hour and 45 minutes!!!
In the meantime, I got some work done in the comfort of their private waiting room with two large couches, a TV (with remote!), a water dispenser with cups and a small tabletop heater so I could adjust the temperature. It was a little chilly and I really appreciated the heat today :) I was also flying solo in there all morning so it was peaceful and I got a lot done.
If I wasn’t moving, I would absolutely be a repeat customer at this establishment! I highly recommend for quick, professional, outstanding service. And the price was just right! Keep up the amazing work, I will be telling everyone what a great experience I had!

After my previous experience left me disappointed, the owner made it up to me with a great hand wax and wash! The guys did an amazing job with attention to the smallest details and the car looks really good. Thanks so much! I’ll be back. See my updated photo!

Reasonably priced. Quick. Thorough. Variety of options and services. Excellent customer service. These are all things I look for in a car wash, and this one has all of them!
Tucked away on the corner across from the Audi Dealership and catty corner from Freebirds, one could almost miss this gem; I’m sure glad I didn’t. This is one case where size really DOESN’T matter! ;)
I originally stopped in because I noticed they are ENTIRELY (only) hand-​wash! (Which means, I won’t have to worry about the tiny circles or marks that affect the paint that other car washes with brushes can cause.) However, their friendly and attentive staff, and overall cleaning job on my car (in less than 30 minutes!) is what will keep me going back!
