I’ve seen a few docs here w/​my PCP being Robert Vanzant. Robert seems to be the best of everyone i’ve seen. This place is very busy. I would not expect doctors to remember who you are here because of the volume of people that come through. Make sure your chart is accurate and up to date.
They use a online patient portal which is where you get test results and where you can email doctors. You can also schedule appointments through the online portal. This works well.
The office staff is a bit inefficient. Instead of taking payment when you arrive they wait till you leave. There have been times I’m ready to go and some bozo is in front of me unable to find a way to pay or hadn’t figured out their insurance before being seen. There have been a few times I received bills in the mail requesting payment for the office visit. Each time they admit its their mistake.
A positive is the office is close to the hospital and the office is new. You can park in the garage but there is a hidden parking lot behind the building which is usually a much quicker walk.

Horrible Service! The receptionists are literally useless. They have NO customer service skills! One of them gave me the stupidest glare when I asked a simple question. The «nurse» (may have been just a medical assistant) that attended me acted as if she loath her job. She made no eye contact with me during the interview part. I really couldn’t wait to leave this place.
The doctor was literally in and out of the room, after waiting 20minutes in the examination room. She didn’t explain the Plan of Care at all!!! The nurse walked in and handed me an order for a test and told me to take the order across the hall to the lab to have test taken.. . uh can someone please explain what this lab order???
The only person I have to rave about is the tech working in the lab! She was awesome she explained the procedure to me and long it would take for results to come back. That should have been done by the doctor or the nurse back in the clinic!!!
It is obvious this clinic needs customer service improvement. They treat their clients poorly during the visit
If you don’t care so much for interaction with the people who handle your health, this place may be for you. Otherwise I suggest going elsewhere.

I’ve been a patient at VFP for about 5 years. During that time it’s become obvious that the goal of the practice is not patient care, but growing the business. They have opened 2 more offices, and make every attempt to pad the bill by pushing flu shots, bone density tests, etc., and ordering xrays in house when they are not needed for diagnosis. They have also started charging additional fees for «urgent» same day visits. (that’s when you need a doctor, when you’re sick).

It is obvious that they overbook and expect everyone to wait. Simple blood work took 2 hours and I saw the doctor for 5 mins after waiting over an hour from my appointment time.
I will not be returning.

Really long wait times and terrible customer service. That pretty much sums up my experience with them.

Been going here for 25 years plus — love Dr. Fields — very organized and the practice continues to grow. The practice is busy and they seem to always had time for an appointment. Great job Dr Fields and staff!

Biggest waste of time and space ever if you are a man. Dr. Robert Vanzant paid perfect attention to my wife when she went in, so I thought hey this is a great service. Then I scheduled myself am appointment and was seen by Dr Vanzant went in for the appointment went over my issues with him and was totally blown off. He was in the room for less than five minutes and said come back in three months for a physical and walked out. Total time with the Dr. And his nurse was less than ten minutes. Biggest waste of forty dollars ever.

I have been a patient here since I was probably in grade school. I always saw Erie, sometimes Broussard and sometimes Su. Erie is a great listener and always such a sweet woman. Broussard is good, not fantastic and Su is a gentle and caring person. However, the rest of the staff can sometimes be either mis-​managed or confused. I have had issues with reaching the correct person over the phone, receiving lab work results and other administrative tasks. I think I have gone here for so long just because its where my parents sent me but I think I will be moving practices.

Awful attitude from Dr.‘s assistant. Extremely rude, bossy, condescending, confrontational, and highly agressive. Shameful. It amazes me that with such customer service «disoriented» personnel their doors are still open. And the wait is ridiculous: one hour!!!

I have seen a few Drs here and always liked them but wait in waiting room is always a min of an hour. And front desk can be rather rude.

The doctors are decent, they rush you through a lot. Front desk staff is super rude, and I am currently waiting over an hour for an appointment. All in all, I would look elsewhere before trying to get an appointment here.

Things were taken care of

This place is awful. They have never got my prescription right first time, even when it’s something as simple as a birth control pill renewal. It took a week to get a prescription renewed because they sent something different (despite me clearly stating what it was I needed renewing), days later I had to phone up to get it corrected because nobody was replying to me or doing anything about it. After managing to get the right medication, I got an email a week later telling me they had sent the prescription to my pharmacy. WHAT?! I got the medication a week earlier! It seems like nobody here knows how to communicate with anyone else. They are a nightmare to deal with.
I dread to think what would happen if my husband or I needed more serious medical attention from these people. We will be changing doctors before that happens!

I have been going here for as long as I can remember, at least 15 years, and I am so fed up with this place! Trying to get an appointment is next to impossible. While trying to make an appointment this morning I waited on the phone for 20 minutes, so long that I actually fell asleep while waiting. Couldn’t get an appointment with any of the doctors I was familiar with, so I told them I would see whoever was available, and scheduled an appointment for 3:00 pm. It is now 4:46 pm, and I am still in the waiting room. I am seriously considering changing my doctors office, and I wouldn’t suggest anyone come here, unless you don’t have anything better to do with 2+ hours of your day than wait in a waiting room.

We have been going to Village Family Practice for over 20 years. My husband and son see Dr. Clive Fields and I see Dr. Lemming. We have all been very satisfied with the care we have received. We first read about VFP in an article about doctors in a local magazine. Nurses ranked one of the doctors in this practice very highly so that is how we got started. VFP recently began using technology more effectively and that has been helpful. Presciptions are sent electronically to pharmacies and appointments are made online. Both of the doctors we use are accessible and spend sufficient time with us when we visit. I arrive on time and usually have to wait about fifteen minutes before seeing the doctor. I can usually secure an appointment with my doctor within a few days if I just want to schedule a routine exam. Bloodwork and x-​rays are done in the office. The location is convenient and easy access off the Katy Freeway.

There are doctors in this practice that my husband and I do not like and one that we love. I would not recommend Lemming or Noël. They can be abrupt, harsh, not understanding. I’ve seen Kayla (the PA) more then once when my preferred doctor has not been available. She is very sweet and listens to what I have to say. I recently saw Dr. Erie and have no complaints. I think she was the most chipper doctor I have ever seen. Dr. Reed is the only Dr. my husband will see. We have never had a problem with him ever. He is the right mix of friendly, understanding, and truthful (in a great bedside manner way). He makes us feel comfortable and heard (no matter the problem, even if it seems silly).
The negatives are:
–You can be put on hold to make an appointment for a while (varies every time I call)
–The staff isn’t super smiley/​friendly (BUT they have NEVER been rude. Ever. That’s great!)
–A very busy day you wait past your appointment time to be seen (Now I have this happen at all my doctors offices I’ve ever gone to)
–Hard to see the doctor you want last minute if you’re suddenly sick
–Parking garage is small
Positives are:
–There is always an opening (it’s nice that there are many doctors working together at one practice)
–Free WIFI in large waiting room
–Clean environment
–No problems with billing/​insurance
–Can always get a doctors note when needed
–The referral department has always been helpful
–There is always a doctor to see the day you need to
–Can always find parking (There is a 2^nd floor entrance on the second floor of garage) and there is a drop off area
All in all I would recommend this practice.

I pretty much agree with all of the previous reviewers — the front office staff can be rude and the wait can be long… but I think my biggest pet peeve about this place is that the doctor you want to see is never available when you want to see him/​her.
Let’s face it, most people don’t schedule doctor visits far enough in advance to get the exact time you want. But in the 5ish years I’ve been coming here, I’ve seen about 5 – 6 different doctors! The good thing is that while one doctor may not be available, there’s always the opportunity to see a different doctor in the practice. I think some people may not find this appealing, but it kinda makes you feel like you’re getting a second opinion by seeing so many different doctors. This actually worked to my advantage a couple of years ago. After visiting one doctor a couple of times over the course of 8 – 10 months with crazy back and sharp stomach pain (and never providing much relief), I finally saw a different doctor in the practice. Two minutes after describing my symptoms and a quick exam of my abdomen, my doctor was ordering a ultrasound as he guessed I had gallstones — which I totally did!
I know that a three-​star doctor probably isn’t worthy of being a repeat patient, but I’m a creature of habit when it comes to doctors. Unless you really mess up, I’m going to keep using this place. No big mess-​ups so far.

An overall painful experience (pardon the pun) slow, bitchy and did I mention slow?
As a new patient I would expect a different level of service, but the front desk seems preoccupied. The first time I called I was refused the ability to book. I gave up but called back and was greeted by a rude receptionist, I then proceeded to call my insurance company, who was upset with the level of service that they immediately called the practice for me and gave them a talking to. Magically I was now able to see a doctor. So far I have been waiting an hour past my appointment time, the strange this is I was told I was the first appointment, this wasn’t the case. The actual doctor was great, only saving grace.

If I could give Village Family Practice 0 stars, I would.
I’ve only been to the main office (near Memorial), so I can’t speak for the Katy office.
However, after my few experiences at their main office, I wouldn’t even THINK about going to the Katy location. Every time you try to call them, you’re on hold for 10+ minutes. Their front desk staff is rude, unprofessional, they all come with horrible attitudes and pay no attention to you. The last time I was there, I could HEAR two employees screaming at each other from the waiting room.
I’ve seen 4 different doctors there and so far, Dr. Domask is the only one who showed any sympathy at all and who actually cared about me feeling better… All the other doctors that I’ve seen there just spent 5 minutes in the room, gave me a prescription and sent me out the door.
I tried to get an appointment with them for tomorrow afternoon and after being on hold for 10 minutes and then speaking to someone who was not very friendly, I was told that I couldn’t be seen by Dr. Domask because she didn’t have availability. Fine… I get that. Completely understandable.
But after being a patient there for about 3 years, I’ve finally had enough. I called Kelsey Seybold and got an appointment immediately after speaking with someone who was very friendly and helpful! I called Village Family Practice back to get my medical records (because my new doctor requested a copy) and I was told «well, um it doesn’t just take one day. You have to fill out a form and request a copy and then we can decide what information to give you.» DECIDE? Aren’t these MY medical records? Okay then… So I said «So, I can’t just stop by and pick them up?» «Um…No. It does not take one day. Like I said.» And she hung up on me. Wow. Exactly why I’m never returning to their office.
I would definitely see Dr. Domask if she were in her own office with her own practice. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.
Village Family Practice summed up: Rude. Unprofessional. Impolite. Uncaring. And definitely not somewhere that I would EVER trust with mine or my family’s health.

VFP is A-​OK. Not great, not terrible. I can definitely relate to some of the negative comments posted here, but my doctor (Dr. Su) usually does a good job and is friendly and informative.
The front staff is polite, but they do gossip quite a bit and when the wait times can be up to half an hour to 45 minutes, you start to wonder if that’s part of the reason why.
I’ve been miffed a couple of times with them (Dr. Su and the practice) which I’ve had to take lessons learned from: once I went because I had blockage in my ear and he did nothing but give me a recommendation for an ENT yet they charged me for a full visit. The second time I went in for my annual checkup but I happened to have a sinus infection so I asked for antibiotics and, again, they charged me for a full visit when the annual exams are free with my insurance. Both times I just paid because I didn’t want to deal with the headache of fighting them.
So, I guess the takeaway is: if you go, even if you get nothing out of it and/​or only take a mere minute of the doctor’s time, be prepared to pay. I normally don’t go to an actual doctor anymore unless it’s for an annual checkup or I’m in need of some diagnosis so for that purpose, Village Family Practice has been a pretty good choice for me.

This is an excellent practice. I been going here for 4 plus years and could not be happier. My GP Dr. Marc Feldman. He is thorough yet practical. He is excellent at encouraging a healthy lifestyle balance with diet and exercise and solely focused on the next prescription to treat the reason for your visit. I have visited several other physicians in the practice (Groff, C. Fields, and Su) and I have been equally impressed with each one of them.
They manage their schedule and waiting room well and I never wait more than 5 – 10 minutes.
I can’t suggest this group enough.
