Best place for good quality nails! I went to another place for acrylics and 4 days later they were popping off. Why did I ever stray? My nails get done by Lisa and my pedis by Thoung or Nancy(she gives the best massage). Never going anywhere else…

I first visited this location for a quick pedicure since I was right in the area and they hadn’t even opened yet. I’m unsure how to spell her name but Hong/Thuong is amazing! She really takes her time and gives me the pedicure of a lifetime. I have really bad ingrown toenails and she literally gets rid of the pain. You know the manicurist is good when you’re bleeding and they have to use neosporin. The only thing that concerns me about this salon is the cleanliness. I’ve noticed they don’t use the plastic bubble when giving you a pedicure and I don’t think they completely clean the bowls. I know for a fact they use the same tools and probably run them under the water… That’s a key factor you’ve got to watch. I don’t come here that often because of that reason! I noticed on my second visit how clean they are not. I recommend if you come here, go super early in the morning before they open.

Only good thing about this place is the prices. $ 18 for a shellac mani since I can use my student discount. The man who did my nails literally spent 25 minutes cutting my cuticles. I just got a manicure 8 days ago so my cuticles didn’t need THAT much attention. He made my skin bleed on 3 different fingers and my cuticles are all red. I’ve never had this happen before, ouch

We love this place! Me and my family always come here and never leave disappointed! We recommend this place to anyone who wants to have the best quality experience! Anytime we have guests over we always bring them here because they won’t leave disappointed! Sadly I live in Dallas now but anytime I’m in town I always come here and get my nails done!

I have been a long time client of VL Nails and have been with Lisa the owner for years. I have followed her from another Salon to hers now. Great place and friendly staff.

Note to VL employees: If a walk-in customer comes in and asks if Heidi has time to squeeze in a mani-pedi, and you say«yes, please pick a color and sit in a foot soak,» please make sure you actually have the time. Call me crazy, but it’d be smart to take a few seconds to look at your schedule. I don’t mind being told«no, please come back later;» but I do mind waiting two hours in a foot soak. TWOHOURS! I got there at 12:30 and Heidi said she could squeeze me in. I should have followed my gut instinct, because as she was mid-client, another scheduled client came in. She had to stop what she was doing with the current woman(who I assumed was also a walk-in) to work on her scheduled client, then, go back to the other woman and her two kids who decided they wanted to get a little spa treatment. REALLY? By this time it was 3pm, and I was furious. Water was cold, my feet were prunes, I went through my HOUSTON and People magazine and I was late to a 3 o’clock baby shower for my longtime high school friend. Heidi came up to apologize, and then who I assume is the owner came and gave me a business card, smiled and laughed as he said«next time please call so you don’t have to wait.» Ha, ya don’t say? So I made it *clear* to him that I understood I was a walk-in, but if she did not have the time, she should have told me so – I had things that I could’ve tended to and then come back with no problem. So why didn’t I just walk out earlier? Well, what would I have accomplished there? Time wasted, no mani-pedi, no completed errands, no baby shower. So I stayed. And it was the most uncomfortable spa treatment ever. I was pissed, and her questions — «So what are you doing today,»(Uh, well I DID have plans); «How old are you?» «Why aren’t you married?» «Waiting for rich man?» «Why no kids?» — didn’t help either. Yes, she was nice and did a semi-good job, but please don’t ever do this to another customer. It’s best to send them away for a few hours then to have them never want to come back again. Ever.
