Volkswagen Maintenance & Repair For Herr Schmidt

i am not the review writing sort but after two tries of trying to get the car fixed here, i am not going back. we had two major issues with the car and while one was resolved, the other required 3 – 4 phone calls to the original mechanic who worked on the car (dwayne) who never called us back. they suggested a temporary resolution but after driving it around with the same problem persisting, brought it back a second time. since i wanted to drop it off before work, i asked if they had a drop-​box for keys, they said no but that you could park your car and put your key in a paper bag and throw it over the fence into one of their trucks (uhhh kinda ghetto). asking who the owner of the place was, the guy said that he’s worked there for years but he doesn’t know who the owner is (really??). they claim to be volkswagen experts but came to the conclusion that this ‘might fix the problem and it might not’ but still wanted me to pay about $ 500 for a repair that might not work. i declined. having gotten no work done on the car, the lady at the front desk (barbara) first tried to charge me for another smaller amount but then sensing my frustration at the situation, simply hung up the phone.
feel like i gave them a good-​faith second try and was completely disappointed. their lot is rather small and dingy, people don’t give you straight answers, and hanging up the phone on a client is well, kinda unprofessional. mein auto ist {still} kaputt no thanks to you, herr schmidt.
