Walmart Superstore

Worse freaking Walmart I ever been to. Staff is rude unless your the same color as them. And trust me I’m not racist at all but damn. Talked to 3 employees about helping me getting another employee to help me out in sports and good. Talked to a csm. Straight up told me we don’t carry that here. When I told him I bought it here last and I wouldn’t need help if it was in the same section. He radio someone waited for another 15 min an nothing. I guess that’s why this ppl work at Walmart. Especially at this one.

Perfect location right next to my hotel. This is a monster of a Walmart. Mucho Mucho groceries. Wide aisles, filled with great products from Kraft, Pepsi, Proctor and Gamble, etc etc if that is your things. Vegan non GMO not so much.
Self check out is still a cluster phuck but there are tons of cashiers as well.

Beware! Before you buy anything prepackaged, open it to make sure its actually in there. I’ve bought things there only to get home and find missing items in what appear to be unopened packages. Went back to «customer service» and they would do nothing. I understand that they thought I removed the items myself but when I have a receipt for over $ 160, would I really try to scam them out of $ 20? Obviously there is a major theft issue at this location. I would recommend NOT shopping here as there are other stores close by. Walmart, you can kiss the obscene amount of money I USED to spend there on groceries, adiós!
And to echo some other reviews, staff is crazy inept. Have been in line when the cashier just walks away with no explanation (has happened more than once). Was in line this past week and the cashier had to look over and comment on each item the person in front of me was purchasing. Waited a good 10 min for her to ring up her 7 – 10 items. Have also been double charged for things only to catch it when I get home. And, if you use self checkout, there will undoubtedly be an issue and you will have to wait for the slooooow cashier to come assist.
So yourself a favor and shop elsewhere!

I normally do not shop at Walmart, and when I learned they’d be putting this one in very near to me, I was curious how this would turn out. Would it impact the traffic on S. Rice? Would it mean madness for this neighborhood?
I mean, I live by the Galleria and 610 already — so traffic is pretty much normal.
I’ve been here more than a few times in the last month, and although it’s new and shiny now — you can already see the dirt and mess happening. Stains already on the floor. Half of the self checkouts aren’t working. Madness at the returns area.
Surly employees. New employees who don’t know where things are. Busted milk dripping all over the other milk.
The only saving grace of this place is that it’s between my apartment and my normal grocery store. Convenience and cost is important to me, so I end up here more than I should.

This store, like most Walmarts, sucks. I have been there 6 times and to this day no one can find the apple cider. I digredd. Today, I needed a common Asian ingredient. Under the sign that says Asian foods, there was the… tuna! Then, 3 different employees of different states of incompetence were unable to direct me to the correct location. So I called to speak to the manager, for which I was on hold for 15 minutes. By then I had found the soy sauce, with the peanut butter and coffee, and had asked an additional employee for the manager’s name, and the answer was «Lee» and she said she didn’t know his last name. In the meantime the operator came back and said they were out. OUT of soy sauce? I told her, no you’re not, I found it next to the coffee. Then I asked her for the manager’s surname and she said «Hand,» to which my response was, «Are you sure or did you just make that up?» This store is just as bad as any other, and sadly, I will reinstate my ban on Walmart. Ok, I feel better.

I am not a big fan of Walmart in general, but this one is pretty organized, still clean and employees are friendly for the most part. I noticed that there prices is a little bet more expensive than Costco and other stores.
But still I would come here again because they have some stuff that I like!

This new supercenter looks impressive at first. I ordered an item from
and went to pick it up. The customer service was rather slow. Another time when I had to return an item, it took me more than 30 minutes waiting in line and dealing with two people. Apparently better training is needed in this location.

I don’t shop at Walmart very often, the only times I have ended with a bad customer experience. I checked out this new location because it was near my home. Very surprised, clean, spacious and well stocked. The staff were friendly and helpful. No problems with checkout lines, I will return, just I hope the store stays as it is and doesn’t go downhill.

I’ll give it 2 stars for cleanliness. I have never seen ruder employees — one guy was taking a shopping cart outside, for what reason I don’t know, and literally almost ran over me with the cart. And he was coming out the in door. Didn’t even apologize. I said something to the «greeter» who didn’t seem to speak English. I walked around the store for awhile but was so put off by the entrance, I left before shopping. When I went to my car, I didn’t exactly feel safe — I felt like there were some activities going on that usually don’t see in this area. So if I go back, it will be during the daytime.

I love this Wal-​mart! The store is super clean and always has multiple lines open to check out! I bypass 2 other Wal-​marts just to come to this one. Its a great alternative to stores on S. Post Oak and Dunvale.

Wal-​Mart inevitably sucks!
This location is no different; even in the uptown district.
Employees are rude, door greeters have ego’s of politicians, and the prices aren’t better than Costco.
Safe yourself the misery and head to Target

This new store is super clean and organized and the staff is very nice. This store has 1 thing that the 2 Walmarts close to me do not have… self check out! How cool is that? If I had a couple of items then I would have gone through the self check out line, but I had way too many items my first time here. BUT… I will be back when I need just a couple of items to test out this lane.
This store’s layout is almost the same as the new Walmart in the Heights/​Washington area. So I knew where to find everything instinctively and trust me I was all over this store. Upon checkout, I did not have to wait in line as I had a cashier walk out to the end of the lane and greet me as I was passing the registers. No waiting in line at Walmart… Sweet! It’s the little things in life that make me happy. :-)
No more waiting in a long line for me as I’m one of those people that will drive the short distance to go to this Walmart to get in, shop and get out quickly.

I went here to pick up some pictures I printed and the lady that helped me was helpful and really nice. Made my day. Also the store is super clean since it’s new and everything’s well organized.

Clean, close, well supplied, beautiful shiny floors. A very different air to your typical superstore, this Walmart can compete with an HEB in the freshness of its produce and its courteous staff. Loving the Bellaire location, internal signage and overall shopping experience.

Store is good but the return department guys are confused… It really takes a lot of time for the whole return process to go through… sometimes the systems don’t work or they don’t have cash to return and talk about getting loans… If they improve, things will be better…

This store just opened a few days ago and oh my, it is nice! Because it’s brand new, the store is spotless, shiny, well organized and the employees are very helpful. I’m sure this will all fade over time but for now it’s a definite 5 star experience.
When I moved to this area of town a few months ago, I was shocked at how little «super stores» there were. I’m from the suburbs where this is a Sams, Super Target, Super Walmart, and an HEB Plus. I can’t tell you how happy I am that there is now a super Walmart! The prices are great and it has literally everything I could ever want. I know that i will now be shopping here exclusively for groceries unless the customer service goes downhill.

It’s so big and nice has a lot of cashiers. Big parking lot. Has a subway inside instead of Mcdonald nice!
