If you want to save your teeth, don’t you ever, ever, NEVER go to this place!!!
Since I had to change insurance, unfortunately I had to switch dentist… I went to this place for a broken tooth and since it was the first time, they examined all my teeth… they came to me very alarmed and «concerned» telling me I needed several crowns, an urgent root canal, and to fix a cavity… they told me I had an abscess and an infection and needed to take care of that like yesterday, otherwise I will lose my teeth
I was in shock, I felt like crying specially when they gave me a $ 6,000 estimate… and they kept saying «oh I’m so sorry I had to give you this bad news, so sorry you didn’t have a good dentist before, etc, etc…» And then they kept pushing me to make a decision about the appointment to start with the jobs!
I left and decided to go to my previous dentist (even though he’s not in my network). He ran all the tests and carefully examined the ones they wanted to «fix», and it turned out I did not need ANY OF THE THINGS they wanted to do! I just needed to fix my broken tooth and to replace a crown… there was no emergency whatsoever! And the best part is that the new estimate is only $ 1,300
Please think twice before even considering going to this place. They don’t care about what you really need, if you have money or if you can pay for it… I wonder how they sleep at night!!!

Efficient and friendly.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I would never go back or recommend to anyone. The doctor seemed less than interested and was very short. I had several questions I wanted to ask him but didn’t even get the chance, without saying anything at all he left the room to attend to another patient. And when I told him I had jaw pain and that it gets stuck sometimes, he didn’t even look/​feel my jaw. The cleaning was a joke… if that’s what they want to call it… I could have gone home and done the same thing just by brushing my teeth. I give my dog better dental care than what I received here.

I contacted westwood dental on an emergency basis as I had a dental bridge that had broken and thus needed replacement. I made all arrangements with my insurance carrier and westwood dental to come in the next day. After the initial evaluation, I was told that a 3 way bridge would need to be installed to correct my problem. I agree with the diagnosis and corrective plan. Brenda comes by and gives me the cost of treatment as $ 7118 but reduced by my insurance to $ 2692. Not knowing any better I agreed and the services needed began.
The following day I called around to other dentists and found that this procedure is on average $ 2500 everywhere else with NO insurance. My insurance pays 60% of the bill leaving my obligation at 40%
While their service was good, I didnt think it satisfied the need to charge 3 times the going rate for their services.
Dissatisfied with this, I called Brenda the following day to discuss this discrepancy. I asked specifics on different line items on the bill, she gave very very vague answers. For instance, there is a fee to perform an «Alt/​upgrade» for $ 800 on a tooth that I havent had in my mouth since I was 7 years old. How on earth could there be a charge to alter or upgrade anything for this?
In the end I asked «How much would you have charged if I walked in off the street with no insurance». She reluctantly acknowledged that the total charge in that case would have been similar to my out of pocket expense. Keep in mind my insurance is paying 60% of the bill on top of my out of pocket expense.
Simply stated, I feel Westwood dental took advantage of my emergency situation and charges an extraordinary fee to both myself and my insurance. I fail to understand how they justify being 300% over the average cost for this service. That said, unfortunately I have no recourse at this point.
I would warn any potential patients to look elsewhere for more reasonable pricing and customer service
