First and foremost my name just happens to be the same as someone that left a negative review, I don’t want you to assume that that person is me. I love the food here I have been a loyal client and friend for well over 20 years, And I would never leave such as lies as a review. I think the people writing these negative reviews have something to do with the competing restaurants on Crosby Boulevard, I know the three Pellegrino brothers for well over 20 years, my parents owned a hair salon call Enzos a few stores Down from them. The highest quality of ingredients are used when creating all of their culinary masterpieces. I’m a creature of habit I do not try anything new, there is never been any glitches with the the food here the high-quality flavor and appearance of anything that leaves here is above par. For many years brothers had catered our Christmas party and always many requests we’re made inquiring who it was that made the delicious food. Whenever someone recommends someplace else to order out I’m always disappointed. Nikki Joey and Anthony know how to run their business. The brothers are courteous professional and respectful and so are their staff they are like a big family, I’ve never had a bad meal here. This is a staple in the community my two favorite among the many are the chicken scampi heroes, and the veal marsala. No reason to take my word for looking all the other positive reviews, If you want to have a good chuckle read any of the negative reviews because they are totally untrue I’m willing to stake my life on a bet, That these reviews are being left by competing eateries in the community. I will always be a loyal client and friend.

I ordered an eggplant roll, and when I get home, got a chicken roll. I came home to an unpleasant surprise! I am not a chicken eater, and I do not drive, and was in the area in the rain, so I decided to treat myself. Some treat! $ 7 wasted, but I ate the cheese and sauce and the calzone. Ugh!

We often get the eggplant parm hero and sub fresh mozzarella for the reg kind(a $ 1 upcharge which is well worth it) It’s a HUGE sandwich which most of the time we split — great value for taste, portion and price. Today we got a chicken parm hero too — we were very hungry and man was it good. Again, generous portions and relatively thick chicken cutlets that had just been cooked. Haven’t tried any of their other offerings but have had the heros at least 10 – 12 times in the past 6 monthes — Never disappoints. We’ve even gotten them for our kids to take on the plane back to California and they were excited to come back and have them again(hot this time). I read all the remarks about grouchy service but honestly we’ve always had prompt and courteous service. I tend to call in the order so it’s ready by the time we get there. Highly recommended. Delicious and Filling.

Great food and a great group of guys. Don’t be intimidated by their attitudes towards each other. It’s just how they work but they always do right by their customers. I’ve been going here every Sunday for years and cater every winter holiday party with them. Really good stuff and great specialty heroes. Lasagna is delicious and their fresh ravioli is awesome. Recently had an accidental order mix match and they remade my order and discounted me some money back.

This place has to be so full of them self. My job orders about 10 times from this place a day. Called at 4:30 to order something that was 10.95 on the specials. And they wants 20.95?! Never heard of such nonsense. I can see maybe 15 bucks… But a whole 10 dollars ?? Food isn’t even the best Italian food I’ve had.

This place has the greatest chicken cutlets on Earth. The vodka sauce is banging. Every time I eat here I am happy. The people and staff are friendly and cool. It’s easily the highest quality food to eat in this neighborhood whether you want something healthy, delicious or both it got you covered. Everything is handmade and you can make a sandwich or salad pretty much any way you want. Walk in with $ 10 and leave with a hero so big you probably won’t even finish it.

This is truly a garbage Italian restaurant. I can not understand anyone giving this place any sort of a good review. My family and I ordered from here the other night and I wish time machines existed so I could go back and smack this idea right out of my head. The flavor of the sauce used is awful. Like actually horrific. The eggplant in the eggplant parm is tasteless and soggy. The chicken in the chicken parm was really no better. The pasta had an odd flavor but its possible it was the horrendous sauce used. This food is an insult to Italians and really just humans in general. About an hour after eating, both my husband and I got heartburn and that is not something we typically suffer from.

First of food is great. Usually fresh and tasty. They have had a long reputation of producing quality wraps and heroes. My issue with this place is that they’re suuuuuuper arrogant and never take responsibility for any mistakes or for any issue whatsoever. We’re all pain on the arse numbskulls to them and god forbid you have an issue with anything… I’ve heard from more then a couple friends(who no longer go there) stories of wise comments and rude interactions with these guys but never experienced it myself… Until this time… I’ll say i don’t complain about much but these guys are on another level or cocky and sarcastic. They make it like any problem is because«you» screwed up. Example would be… I bought a very premium $$$$ priced 3 foot hero with chicken cutlets, mozzarella and hot cherry peppers… You know, Italian style, with friggin hot cherry peppers… Its written exactly as such on their OWNMENU! What I wind up getting for my party is a Chicken Cutlet hero with very light sporadic sprinkling of JALEPENOS! Thing tasted like a giant Quesadilla! WTH?! So figuring he made an honest mistake(maybe a young worker made it?) so I give him a call. He starts arguing like I’m the nut and tells me that they’re hot peppers. I’m thinking is this guy Italian? Is he playing a practical joke over here? Jalepenos are a Latino hot pepper. They are not supposed to go on an Italian style Chicken Cutlet, Mozzarella and Hot Cherry Pepper hero. So he proceeds to lie to me like I’m a dope and says he’s out of cherry peppers. Really? How bout giving me a call guy before charging me a hundred dollars for a hero I don’t want with your choice of substitutes. The kicker here is I had to know for myself, so during my party I run out and send someone in to check his shelves for the g-d forsaken Cherry Peppers… Guess what? What I expected… Jars and jars of cherry peppers on his shelves. The guy just doesnt have respect for his customers. Why lose another customer just to win an argument? It would of been the easiest thing to fix. That is on another level of stubborn.

It was interesting reading the reviews after our visit. Our group stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn near JFK so we took an Über car to Brother’s only to realize this was a take-out place only! We saw a lot of tired, bored faces behind the counter, probably due to the split amount of newbies that sit and deliberate over their HUGE menu in the narrow space between the counter and the cases that hold frozen pastas and cold sodas and locals that called in ahead and have to squeeze past the newbs to grab their grub. Our good natured joking only inspired weak half grins so I can easily see how that could quickly escalate into some of the experiences read in other reviews. They accept credit cards which isn’t necessarily the norm around this city. Make sure you go in and keep your stomach in check over what your eyes see in the display case and on the menu. Portions are generous! Each of us ordered about $ 20 worth of food and walked out with giant pizza boxes. Not one of us finished our food in two meals. So many things look so scrumptious that I almost wish my project here had lasted longer. My lucky co-workers that are here until the end of October will unlock Brother’s potential now that they know they deliver. The $ 20 shrimp scampi comes with six big perfectly cooked shrimp, a side of pasta which is more like a bed and a choice of the same sauce used for the shrimp or marinara with a hunk of bread. If you hanker for flavor, you may want to go with the marinara, but I found the buttery lemon and garlic sauce perfect even re-heated. Vampires are not welcome.

Recently ordered a few trays of food from Brothers for a house party. Everything ordered was excellent. I ordered chicken fingers for the kids. However, the adults helped themselves to the chicken fingers since the honey mustard sauce it comes with is amazingly delicious. The eggplant parm is exceptional. Assortment tray of wraps fit everyone’s taste. I heard many positive comments about the food. It is obvious that the owners take pride in what the serve.

I had the gnocchi with meat sauce and peas. The portion was so big it lasted me three days! The gnocchi was cooked perfectly, the meat sauce was flavorful but not overpowering. Definitely give this place a try– I will be going back to try other things!

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Please continue reading. I ordered a tray of chicken cutlets with bruschetta for a dinner party. My brother-in-law picked up Brothers Ravioli for dinner. He was greeted by the owner and workers who know his face by now. When he told them the order, they went to look for it and realized a delivery boy took it to someone’s house. The owner called up the delivery boy who had already dropped the order, cursed his head off, told someone in the back to make him a fresh order, apologized and ask for him to give the owner ten minutes. He of course said no problem. Still mad at the mistake, he sent another delivery boy out to pick up the tray saying the recipient wasn’t his blood, and he didn’t need to feed them for free. About fifteen minutes later, he was expecting my new order to be ready soon and the second delivery boy comes back with a tray and says to me «this is your order.» He laughed and replied, «that’s not my order!». The owner comes back over and says«what’s the problem?» while they are both looking at a tray that was clearly opened on one side. He said he was told Brothers was making a fresh order. He said«this is fresh! I made it for your party.» He said«Yes, and then you delivered it to someone’s house.» He said to me If I don’t want it, it’s no problem. He thought he meant he would make a fresh one, but he did not! He said thank you, we don’t want to eat something opened. He said«take your money and get the f#%k out of here.» He just laughed and told him he’s nuts because we always order from there. He said«no special treatment here.» Be careful, you never know if you’re eating someone else’s food.

Good food, but you may be eating double dipped food. Ordered food, my brother went to pick it up and was was told the delivery boy took as part of another order. They said they would make a fresh order. The owner called and ripped the delivery boy a new asshole and told him to pick up the food. Couple minutes later the delivery boy came back with the tray of food(opened) and gave it to my brother. My brother said he didn’t want that and wanted his food fresh from the kitchen. The owner then said get the fuck out of here. Gave him his money… WEWILLNEVERGOBACKTHERE! We have ordered 100s of times from there. Who knows how many times this happened. Call Ginos, La Villa, Mateos, Lenny, Bruno’s Howard Beach Trash at its finest!

Molto Bene! This is a 100% authentic italian family restaurant who takes pride in what they do best. Their ala vodka chicken parm hero is a must have. Shout out to Nick behind the counter for treating my EMS partner and I like a genuine friends as soon as we walked through the door. The place is so authentic that you can see them making ravioli with an old fashioned machine right in front of you! I will certainly recommend this place to all my EMS colleagues and all my friends

They have the most amazing chicken cutlet, mozzarella cheese and vodka sauce hero. The hero is huge, but while eating it you just can’t put it down because it is that good. I can’t wait to try more of the menu!
