Come here after work. Love the friendly environment. The 5 mile walking path is peaceful and relaxing. A clean environment that i look forward to coming too again and again.

This review is for the recreation center. The area where the boats launch is very scenic. The trails are easy and it’s dog friendly. A nice place to walk around, they also have free bike rentals

I really like the natural views offered at this reservoir. The perimeter trail is great, but the trail is 5 miles to walk with NOT many rest rooms or outhouses along the way. A great place to walk, run, or bike. I love taking pictures of the scenery and leaves during autumn. The best thing ever is to get a WaWa coffee on a cloudy day, get over to the reservoir, and walk around. I’m glad the playgrounds are kept away from trails, as those seeking to enjoy the serenity of nature don’t often find screaming children soothing.

Love the manasquan reservoir visitors center & environmental center. There is so much diversified wildlife in the area! You may even see a bald eagle or 2. A beautiful trail around the perimeter for leisurely strolls just tops it off. Lots a great programs to explore. Def recommend. My only con… people can be lazy. I wish there were more trash cans along the trail.

Friendly staff. Great place for a cute small birthday for a kid interested in animals :) Had a scout trip there also and it was great.

Love this place! I haven’t been inside the center but I walked part of the perimeter trail and the cove trail. The perimeter trail was absolutely amazing with breathtaking views of the water. The cove trail didn’t take you by the water but it transported you to a picture perfect forest out of Jurassic park. I literally felt like Pocahontas walking/occasionally running 5 miles and exploring the unmarked trails. Recommend everyone in Monmouth county come out here at least once. I know I’ll be stopping by at least once a week!

The environment center is a neat place with plenty of parking. There is an outside pond in front with a bird feeder. Inside there is an Eagle cam, and displays to learn about the local environment. The displays include some live local fish and other creatures. There are lots of windows overlooking the reservoir. One window also overlooks more bird feeders so you can watch birds from inside too.

I am in love with this park. It consists of a 5-mile reservoir trail loop of gorgeous scenes of the reservoir. The actual environmental center is open to the public. We came a few weekends ago and were so surprised it was open –we had thought it was closed during the winter. There are public bathrooms, water fountain, and a BEAUTIFUL lodge with a central open fireplace. The open bay windows(ceiling to floor) overlook the reservoir. After you are done with your exercise, this is a definite place to lounge and take in the beautiful water scenes.

Great park for a nice walk. Several trails. The one around the reservoir is a little over 5 miles. Not as much along the reservoir as you would think. Two great public buildings. Boat ramp and kayak rentals.

I have been coming here since I was a teenager, and used to walk the Perimeter Path. From there, I moved onto riding my Mountain Bike, not just on the Perimeter, but on the more challenging paths offered here. This is one of the many beautiful parks/centers that offer a wide variety of outdoor activities. My husband and I geocache here and the trails are always so well cared for-even post-Sandy. You can bring your dog, even your horse, and there is plenty of room for fishing, boating, kayaking and the like. A great experience for anyone who loves the outdoors and maybe even a little local adventure!

Small place but I love these places and prefer them over art museums! You get to learn the wild life in the forest and within the Reservoir. I will come back again next time i come kayak fishing!
