Master McCann’s Self Defense Academy is proud to be the only martial art school in moumouth and Ocean county teaching the Korean art of HapKiDo. We offer seperate classes for Kids and Adults.

Children:

Our children’s martial arts programs will help channel your kid’s energy in a productive manner. Our programs are proven to increase their confidence, discipline, motor coordination – all while having fun at the same time. Our program works hand in hand between the family and school, providing improved self-​discipline, self-​confidence, mental alertness, and goal setting skills. We also provide the tools kids need to defend themselves against the growing problem of bullies.

Adults:

Hapkido is often called the «Original Mixed Martial Art.» It is one of the most effective and practical martial arts that concentrates on reality self defense. Techniques are similar to sport mma with an emphasis in real life street applications rather than competition.

History

Established in 2005.

Master Brian McCann has been teaching Hapkido in Moumoth and Ocean counties since 2001. Our current studio was estblished in the spring of 2005.

Business Owner

Master Brian McCann has been a student of the Korean Martial art of Hapkido since 1990. He has been teaching Hapkido in Moumoth and Ocean counties since 2001.

Master Brian is committed to teaching his studets original Hapkido as passed down to Grandmaster Lim, Hyun Soo from Hapkido’s founder –Choi Young Sul.

Master McCann has been inducted into several Martial Art Hall of Fame’s for his excellence in teaching both adults and children. Some of these include, Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Fame, World Karate Union Hall of Fame, and Grandmaster Gary Alexander’s IAMA Hall of Fame.
