Design Works is a landscape architecture and landscape construction firm specializing in designing and building residential landscapes and municipal spaces. Our creations begin with the aspirations of our clients. We value the collaborative relationships that develop through the evolution of the project and enjoy using our expertise to make our clients’ dreams become a reality.

History

Established in 2006.

Jim DiNovo began his practice in 2006, after graduating with a degree in Landscape Architecture from UMass Amherst. During his first 2 years, he used his expertise and creativity to create landscape designs for residences, including patios/​walkways, front entrances, plantings & lighting. In Jim’s 3^rd year, he transformed his business by adding his brother-​in-​law, Adam, and add’l employees to construct 100% of the projects that he designs. In 2010, Jim and his wife, Jennifer DiNovo, Professional Landscape Architect, began the permitting process with the Hudson Planning Board to get approved for a shop/​offices to better suit their operation. In 2011, the business made its permanent home in Hudson. In 2014, Design Works hired Jennifer as a full-​time employee to broaden their clientele, offering Landscape Architectural and permitting services. Design Works is a family company who bases their practice upon the highest level of customer satisfaction, quality design, and construction.

Business Owner

Jim is a New Hampshire native and a 1998 graduate of Londonderry High School. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture. He founded Design Works in 2006 and has over 15 years of experience in designing, building and managing residential and commercial landscape projects. Jim’s skill is unique in that he has the ability to generate plans for the most simplistic and stylish front walkways to the most intricate backyard pool designs and patio spaces, and then build them well. Under his leadership, the Design Works Team has won awards including Gold in the «outdoor living space» category from the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of New Hampshire and has been featured in the Belgard Hardscapes Catalogue. As Design Works steadily grows each and every year, Jim’s passion and dedication to his clients and the field of Landscape Architecture and construction grows with it.
