Specialties
Independent Restaurant/Lounge where we want to know your name. Supporting local arts, education and music whenever and however possible.
We serve comfort food with a twist, try to use local and fresh ingredients, serve only local and regional beer on tap. We host meet up groups, have a book club, a knitting group, a songwriters group, a tarot card reader, open mike night and local live music most nights. We are open Wed-Sat evenings, serving dinner and Saturdays and Sundays serving brunch/lunch starting at 8am.
Our goal is to be inclusive, not exclusive. We want everyone to feel that Harvest Café is their place.
History
Established in 2002.
Harvest Café came to life in October, 2002, when co-owners Karen Freker and Pippa Jollie left corporate life and embarked on a new adventure dedicated to entrepreneurship, community, and the arts. Starting as a Bagel shop on Main street, expanding the menu, the hours and our presence in the community brought about our expansion in 2007 to our own Building on Washington street. Just 590 feet around the corner.
Today, Harvest Café has evolved into a meeting place for the Hudson community, a full service restaurant with a lounge, dedicated to fresh food prepared simply, locally roasted coffees. We reserve our draught lines exclusively for local and regional brews. We continue to host live music and local artists and many weekly and monthly groups in our space. All of these are provided in a comfortable easy environment that welcomes everyone.
Meet the Business Owner
Karen F.
Business Owner
You will find Karen most hours that the café is open, either behind the bar or in the dining room. Our staff and Our customers, have created a pretty special community here at Harvest Café. If I was not the owner, and if I had the time, this is the kind of place that I would want to hang out in. Keeping it as local as possible, and people are the reasons we continue to give this our best shot each day.
