Long time customer, big fan of Walt’s guidance and expertise and ability to walk you through «thrifty» vs high end options. I did the comparison shopping years ago and found once you get past competitor’s advertised prices adding in all of their «hidden» charges, J&K was lowest by far.
And yes, shopping local instead of a big-​box store and supporting downtown Hudson just happens to be an added bonus!

Let me start by saying that I have a level of familiarity with the tire business and I know the games that are played. Walter directed me to the right tire for what I need and quoted me a price per tire mounted and balanced. No fees or service charges or malarkey. Service was lightning fast, even though it was a hot day. The showroom isn’t an amusement park and there’s no cappuccino machine, so what. Go to Six Flags with the money you save.
I wish I knew about this place years ago.

Who would have thought buying tires could be so easy.

Life savers!!! Honestly… I felt so lucky that this happened to be the place that I pulled into in a dire situation of needinghelp to fix my tire pressure gauge that completely snapped off as I tried to fill my low pressure tire (on the way to a client — of course). The guys here were SO nice, above and beyond customer service. They were honest and told me they had a bunch of people ahead of me and it may be a while before they could get to my car. They had me out of there within an hour and had the part I needed in stock… LUCKY! J&K is AWESOME. Restoring my faith in humanity and car repair establishments. If you are having any tire issues — go here!!! Maybe I’ll even go here to buy my next set of tires because they made such a good impression on me! :) Thank you

We have NEVER had a bad experience here! Sears Auto had my car for 2 hours to inspect all of my tires for leaks. Woke up the next morning with a flat ! J & K took the entire wheel off, placed the tire on some apparatus and found the problem. I was on the road within 20 minutes !! Love this place !

I have been to town fair, hogan, sears, & a bunch of other corporate and even privately owned shops and not 1 of them have provided even half of the services as j and k. They are honest, fast, beyond efficient, and pay attention to detail! I love the owner and employees they’re always so nice and give the best honest opinion on what needs to be fixed/​replaced (not looking just to make an extra buck). I will never go anywhere else for my car!

Walter is trustworthy and his prices are fair. The first time I went there, he could have charged me for a new tire and instead charged me a minimal fee for a repair, saving me hundreds. So I went back to him when my SUV needed new tires and they have been great. Today, I brought a used car to him that I just bought for my son, and it was making a noise — Walter fixed it immediately, and charged me very fairly. Another mechanic had made a potentially horrible mistake. His staff is great too — as I was having trouble backing out onto the road, one of his guys made sure I was doing so safely. I will be taking both of my vehicles to Walter from now on.

I came here after having the worst experience EVER at Hogan tire up the road. All I wanted was a snow tire change. The people at Hogan refused to do it saying that the law had changed and they could only replace all four tires at a time. What BS!!! I went to J&K tire to get my two snow tires put on my car as I’ve done every year for over 15 years. What a FANTASTIC experience at J&K. I met Walter, the owner, who took very good care of me there. I did not have to make an appointment or anything. I just drove right in, and Walter was standing there in the parking lot. I asked if he could changeover my TWO snow tires, and he said that was no problem. I would highly recommend J&K for any tire work. I also inquired about buying two snow tires for my girlfriends car. He said that was no problem, and gave me a very reasonable price. I will have my girlfriend go to J&K for her tires and oil changes from now on. Walter also told me they do all kinds of repair work, so when my car is out of warranty, I will be going to J&K for all my work. I drove by this place all the time, and never thought about stopping in. I’m sure glad I did today after an AWFUL experience at Hogan Tire up the road. I even made an appointment and asked Hogan if they could replace my TWO snow tires and they said it was no problem, and then I get the run around when I arrive… I will always go to J&K Tire for all my repairs from now on. Very nice people working there, and they changed the tires very quickly. I could not recommend them enough!!!
Stay away from Hogan, and go to J&K!!!
