Nothing But The Tooth offers a comprehensive array of dental services to the community. We provide everything from cleanings and fillings to root canals, oral surgery, crowns and bridges (permanent and removable), implants, and implant restorations.

We Cater To Cowards! We offer safe and effective oral anti-​anxiety medication to patients who need it. While you will not be asleep, you will be free of that white-​knuckled panic feeling. And we’ve been told that we give the most painless injections possible.

99% of all work is done in-​house, allowing us to to maintain tight quality control (there are a few exceptions, which need to be done by a specialist, like putting people to sleep to remove teeth, which would be done by an oral surgeon, or an extremely complicated root canal, which would be done by an endodontist).

We have 4 talented, caring and gentle doctors, and 2 hygienists, along with a staff of 15 support personnel to handle the front desk, insurance eligibility, prior approvals, payables and receivables, etc.

We accept most insurance plans including Child Health Plus and Family Health Plus members. For those with no insurance, our fees are extremely reasonable, and we offer interest-​free financing through Care Credit.

History

Established in 1948.

This site has been a dental practice for many many years. It has had 3 previous owners, 2 of whom have retired many years ago, one (Dr. Pizer) who still works here, and myself, Steven Solomon DDS, who bought the practice in 2007.

While the building is not ADA-​compliant, having been built as a residential dwelling in the 1930’s, it is far larger than it looks. We occupy 4 floors, with treatment rooms on 2 of those 4 floors, along with secure patient chart storage in a specially constructed flood and fire resistant underground file storage area. We also have an employee lounge and break room, along with offices for administrative staff on the third and fourth floors.

While the building may be older, it is well maintained, clean and modern inside. We have invested heavily in digital workstations, digital x-​rays, cleaning and sterilization units, the latest instruments and products, all to assure our patients’ safety.

*Graduated one of the top dental schools in the country (Columbia University) in 1983, followed by a residency at one of the top hospitals in the country (Columbia/​Presbyterian) which I completed in 1984.

*Performed early research on implants while at Columbia/​Presbyterian.

*Winner of award for my treatment of mentally and physically handicapped people, 1984.

*Winner Best Doctors in America 2008 – 2014.

*Our practice won «Best Dental Practice» from «Best of Hudson» magazine in 2013 and 2014.
