The concept of Savor the Taste is to experience some of the finest olive oils and balsamic vinegar in the world and discover new flavors. Our olive oil is graded as ultra premium, the highest standard in the industry.

Savor the Taste has fused and infused flavored olive oils, many flavors of balsamic vinegar from Modena Italy, Wine vinegars including champagne and pinot noir among others, as well as specialty oils including black and white truffle, Japanese roasted sesame, Roasted Butternut squash and Pumpkin Seed Oil. We also carry over one hundred and fifty different spices and blends, twenty seven different flavored sea salts, local honey, jams and jellies, nut butters, pesto, pasta, and more! We’re adding new gourmet products all the time!

Our goal was to create a welcoming atmosphere where people could come in and taste these wonderful products at their leisure before making a decision whether or not to purchase them. Savor the Taste encourages experimenting with mixing different flavors of olive oil and vinegar as well as spices and salts for bread dipping etc. to create blends that please each person’s unique palate.

History

Established in 2014.

This shop has been a dream for many years. We are passionate about cooking and use only top quality natural ingredients so we loaded our shop full of them! We looked all up and down the Hudson Valley and found Hudson to be the best fit for this type of shop and we are extremely pleased with our decision. There are a mile of shops here that are all small family owned businesses. Walking up and down Warren St. is like a trip through the past the architecture is beautiful and there’s always interesting things to see.

I am the mother of four adult children. Three of them were diagnosed with varying severities of Autism. I learned early on that their diet had a huge effect on their behavior. Whenever they ate anything with artificial ingredients their symptoms increased dramatically so I had to learn how to cook real food they would eat. Cooking became a passion and when my life circumstances allowed me to pursue my lifelong dream of owning my own business, this was a natural choice. With the help of my life partner, Gary, and our families, my dream became a reality. I love the shop we created and we are working to improve it every day.
