St. Croix Energy Solutions Inc. (SCES) is a home performance consulting company helping homeowners, business owners and contractors to create high performance new and existing buildings. SCES is an independent home performance Rater/​Verifier working with Energy Star Homes, Home Performance with Energy Star, Focus on Energy New Homes, Leed for Homes, Wisconsin Green Built Homes, Tax Credit Certifications, and various other Focus on Energy programs. SCES proudly serves Wisconsin and Minnesota including the Twin Cities Metro, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Hudson, Eau Claire, Menomonie, River Falls, and Duluth.

Our services include: radon mitigation, Energy Audits, Energy Star certifications, blower door testing, infrared imaging, etc.

History

Established in 2007.

St. Croix Energy Solutions Inc. (SCES), founded by Aaron Riendeau, started out as a consulting company for improving comfort, durability, and efficiency of existing and new construction homes. In 2010, to meet customers needs SCES began offering Home Performance services. Home Performance includes services as blower door guided air sealing, insulation, ventilation, lighting, etc.

Home Performance is a different approach than most insulation contractors where we look at the entire home as a system and then develop a plan of improvements that will best fit the homeowner and the homes’ needs.

SCES has consulted, tested, and improved thousands of homes in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Aaron has over 18 years of experience in the building science and construction field with a Construction Management degree from UW-​Stout. Aaron has remodeled and constructed hundreds of homes, has energy tested thousands of homes, and has trained many weatherization contractors and energy consultants in the upper Midwest.
