Resendiz Family Fruit Barn

I love their hand pies and cinnamon crust pieces as well as the farm-​fresh produce. They also offer many jarred gourmet items. Many items are available for taste-​testing for a chance to taste something new to you. A fun place to shop, just to see what is there. It is where I know I can find local honey for my seasonal allergies.

We love to support local, family-​owned businesses, and Resendiz makes it easy. They’ve got a big selection of produce, honey, salsas, dried fruits, and nut mixes. The peach smoothie is the best I’ve ever had, and if you’re a pie person, those are fantastic too. There is a large outdoor area with animals, a playground, and large coy pond. You can purchase fish food in the store to feed the coy. They’ve got a huge selection of pumpkins in the fall, and a hay maze for those who can enter one without having an asthma attack (I’m not one of those). Check them out! Support local!

This place is good. They say nobody can bake it like Mom can, but this place will give her a run for her money. When you walk in the first thing you smell is fresh baked pies. Come on now… that’s beautiful. If you enjoy strolling the grounds you can go out back and kick back or feed the fish. Great place to pile on another middle aged roll. It’s off the beaten path but worth it. I highly recommend going east from this gem and get in on some of the small communities out this way. Would recommend to all. Enjoy‼

Great selection of fruits and nuts on the central coast. Bakery is fresh and made there every morning by the owner and her daughters. Perfect place for a fresh fruit smithy. A must stop for the best fruit for anybody

Our favorite place to go for pumpkins and fun! We like the atmosphere, visiting the animals, the maze, and the baked goods. $ 4 to enter the maze is a bit costly. Some people were wandering in without paying. Not sure how they can enforce it. The apple turnover is huge, but not as flavorful as I remember. Great deal on pumpkins. Lots to choose from. All in all, it is a nice, mellow way to get into the Halloween spirit.

I was visiting my sister in Turlock this past week when we drove by this cute place and I made the car stop. I had to go in! There are tons and tons of delicious local treats here ranging from multiple flavors of pistachios to homemade apple pie. There are also a ton of dried fruit including chamoy mangos! Did I mention that everything has a bowl of samples you can taste? Everything! It’s like the better version of Costco.
The main thing that made me come back again the next day were the smoothies. I got the strawberry and mango smoothies and they were fantastic. You could tell they only used fresh fruit for these drinks. Make sure you get a punch card so you can get the 11^th one free! There’s also a lovely park in the back where you can enjoy your snacks and smoothies if you aren’t in a rush. I’ll definitely be back when I’m visiting my sister :)

Today, I stopped and bought three pies. Too apple and one pecan.
Since one was for my sister and one for my neighbor, I stopped to deliver my sisters, We decided to have a piece of apple pie.
This is the worst apple pie I have ever tasted. The top is all puffed up true but the apples are not cooked, could not even cut through the apple slice with a fork. It is not juicy. It takes terrible.
My son stopped by and he wanted a piece and he said it cannot be that bad, its apple, He spit his out on his plate and said the same thing, this is the worst applie pie I have ever tasted.
Not going to give this to the neighbor because I would be totally embarrassed.
They said they sold 300 pies today and two of them were mine and it was a waste of time and money and I am angry because I dependeded on them for a good product.
They are closed for Christmas but I will be back with the pie to request a refund and never shop their again.

Super cute little place. The kids had such a great time. They had tons of things for the kids to do. They had the pumpkin patch, face painting, pony rides, fish feeding, corn maze bike races & a train ride! Then we went inside to get a fresh pie! Totally delicious! I also saw there is an area that you can rent out for parties & other get togethers.
On another note, I am a photographer and went out here to take photos of a few families. It’s beautiful and very well kept! The staff is very nice also.

We’ve stopped here a few times over the years on road trips and always loved the pies, breads, and TONS of samples. Didn’t realize there was a huge playground and coy pond out back until this visit! We bought food to feed the fish and kids played for a bit. Plenty of sun and shade to be had too.
Oh, and fresh peach pie is soooooo great!

Always come here for the pumpkin patch, mazes, games, and more for the kids. Fresh popcorn of different favors and fresh baked pies of all different kinds. love it!

I’ve been a customer of Resendiz ever since they opened 20+ years ago. It’s been fun watching them expand and grow over the years. My oldest daughter (now 19) has wonderful childhood memories of going to Resendiz to look at the huge coy pond and she always looked forward to the Hay maze & pumpkin patch every Halloween.
The service has always been superb and quality/​selection of fruit is great. The pies are super yummy!
Although we have moved to the Bay area, we still stop by when we are visiting family in the Valley. In fact, I will be trying really hard to make it up there this weekend, just so I can take my youngest (now 10) to the pumpkin patch!

I want to break my review in 2 parts.
Part 1: Pumpkin patch
1. It was a lot smaller than I anticipated.
2. They only have a maze for the public $ 1.50 per person decent price.
3. They have animals pigs and goats that the kids cannot touch or feed. (my kids were totally disappointed.)
4. I had a flyer and it advertised pony rides, only on weekends which was not listed on flyer :(. (again my kids were totally disappointed!)
5. Planting veggies are only again on the weekends and for tours/​field trip (tours are $ 3 per person pretty good price)
6. They have a HUGE variety of pumpkins most are really good prices. I have seen them more expensive at other places.
7. and they have a little play area for kids (huge success with my kids)
I was expected all the activities to be available to everyone not just tours or field trips. The maze is nice for older kids; my 4 yr old was scared of the dark. They do provide flashlights which is nice.
Part 2: Fruit Stand
1. They have a good variety of local veggies and fruits.
2. They have a smoothie stand and sell baked goods (they have plenty of samples!)
3. They have picnic benches and chairs for you to enjoy your food on.
4. This by far has to be the best part of the Fruit barn. They have a HUGE koi pond. You can feed the fish (not sure on price we skipped that part since my kids are on the younger side)
Over all we had fun, our next visit, if there is one, we hope to have a better experience and definitely on the weekend!
One last note. I looked for a website for them and they don’t have one. :(

Have tons of fruit and veggies. Sadley none organic, beacause of the sprays they use. I went yesterday and had a honeydew for a dollar, their on sale. They also have tons of samples of thier fruit, bread bakery, and such. Their was a fly tryinq to get into the samples. But if I was a fly I would wanna taste of the friut too tho :)
They also have harvest festivals for Halloween. And are known of the smoothies and pies.(:

This is a place that has everything. A great place to stop and pick up some fruit etc. There’s even a taco truck parked there for your convenience. Nice picnic area for your enjoyment. Super nice people and very helpful. I try to stop in here at least once a week when they are open.

Totally a destination-​worthy stop where you may picnic, snack on their own bakery items, nuts, fresh coffee drinks, produce, etc. etc.
Plenty of parking, a nicely landscaped park behind the store where you may walk your dog or play with your kids.

So much fun to be had here. I take my daughter to the pumpkin patch they have here every year to pick out pumpkins for carving. They are so kid friendly and have tons of activities like the maze. A quaint little picnic area and a small area with some animals.
My family orders our pies here during the holidays… best advice: order at least 2 weeks ahead of time.

I also like coming to pick up dried apricots, banana chips and a smoothie from time to time. I’m also addicted to the little bags of pie crust crisps they have. I guess they take all the pie crust that they cut away before baking then they bake the strips and roll in sugar and cinnamon. So good!
It’s a little out of the way and on the edge of town… but I highly recommend this place for holiday pies and tasty, healthy treats.
