Country Inn & Suites

After the experience with this hotel is give it 5 stars, the whole staff was very hospitable and friendly, just like Texans are known to be ! Rooms were cleaned daily, which included; sheets, bathrooms, and anything else requested. The pool&gym were awesome. Did I mention warm and healthy breakfast? The only problem I had was room door was a bit difficult to get into when sliding the cards. But still impressed, and I will be brining my business back in the future. Thank you !

Wow this place pretty much sucks! I am glad we only stayed here for 1 night. Shuttle bus driver really needs help! We waited over an hour for him to pick us up. Then after the van was full he drove around for another 45 minutes looking for others to pick up at other airport terminals! Again, our bus was full. The entire hotel entrance smells like chlorine from the old pool, I’d probably never use. The room had some hair on the bed totally gross! The carpet in the front of the door is stained badly. Otherwise I guess it’s a pretty basic hotel for the night. Way too far and odd area away from the airport. This is what happens when you are looking for a hotel and on short notice and need something cheap. We came in a day early so we needed 1 night in Houston. There is breakfast in the morning, and its decent with eggs and waffles and coffee and juice. The wifi needs a passcode, they don’t give you apparently. Not in need to stay in Houston again but most likely wouldn’t stay here simply for their hotel/​airport shuttle disaster they have.

It wasn’t the most disgusting place in the world but I wouldn’t stay again, even if they offered me a free stay.
Some of our problems:
Dirty bathrooms. (not disgusting, but definitely not clean!)
Horrible, intermittent wifi!
Room doors stick and are hard to open.
Lack of hot water in shower (not to mention the shower head leaked like a sieve)
Fan in bathroom was insanely loud
Pipes made horrible noises when water was turned on.
We had to switch to a different room which was only marginally better.
In the end there was nothing we couldn’t overcome in our stay and the staff was very pleasant, but if I’m paying for this service then I have some minimum expectations.
Sorry Country Inn & Suites, I won’t be back :(

The rooms were adequate to sleep and my son got a cookie. The washrooms were disgusting. The showerhead let out little water and the tub had a hole in it. The toilet seat was way past its prime. The indoor pool water was green and particles could be seen accumulating at the bottom of the pool. This is the last time I let someone book my hotel. Houston has so many choices, why settle for less?

I took my daughter and her friends here for her birthday because they had an indoor pool. We loved it. I was worried because most hotels that say the pool is heated it really isn’t. There’s was so warm. The hot tub was awesome and very hot. The room was a queen suite. It was really nice and very clean. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. They had an amazing free breakfast, eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, coffe, OJ, milk, Apple juice, toast. Lots of variety to choose from. I would stay here again and I would recommend it.

We visited post-​renovation, and the accommodations are now more modern and comfortable. There was a bothersome smell (probably from cleaner) initially in our room, but it either faded, or I got used to it. The highlight at this Country Inn is that the staff truly seems to care. The airport shuttle driver was very nice and conversational, as was the front desk. An added benefit, the complimentary shuttle will drop you off and pick you up from nearby shopping centers, making it easier to grab a bite to eat during your stay. They have chocolate chip cookies at check-​in and complimentary breakfast each morning — the spread was typical, but also holds variety (fruit, yogurt, waffles, eggs & bacon, pastries, etc.). Wifi is free, although a little sluggish and spotty. The location in Humble, TX was a bit further from the airport than I’d expected, and the surrounding restaurants/​stores are heavy with chains, but we had a brief, pleasant & comfortable stay.

I am here on business. Why my company put me here I do not know, maybe I pissed someone off…
When I arrived here, they put me on the third floor. Room 300. I go up to my room, as soon as I step off the elevator I get hit with the smell of rotting meat covered with disinfectants. If you’ve ever tried to save a freezer that has been sitting for three weeks, unplugged, with meat inside of it, yeah THAT smell. I get to my room and attempt to open the door, can’t, the door has been locked from the inside with the security latch. I went back downstairs and got another room, room 316 this time.
All is well now except for that smell. My new room smells like fresh paint.
Fast forward to 3am, I have been asleep for 2 hours. Its pouring down rain outside. Fire alarm goes off, wakes everyone in the hotel. People are wandering the halls. children are crying and frightened. The lone attendant for the hotel tonight is new and doesn’t know that this has happened now three nights in a row. (I found out from a guest in room 402)
On a side note, the smell on the third floor is now gone. I had someone else verify it because I thought maybe I had just gotten used to it. Some weird shit is going on here… wondering if I shouldn’t just go sleep in the rental car.

The staff here was incredible! From the front desk to the shuttle driver; they were friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our brief stay. The continental breakfast was good, the room was clean, and the check-​in and out was painless! Thank you!

Nice hotel but a bit dated! Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome.

Needed a place to spend one night after flight and before cruise. Yes it is an older place but it is clean and well taken care of and the people were great and offered free shuttle to airport, and a free good breakfast. Got the room for $ 64 total. You can’t beat that!

Worse hotel experience EVER
I was going to stay here literally for a few hours in between flights. My flight came in at 1 AM and my connecting flight was at 8 AM. So I only needed a place to stay and rest, get freshened up for a few hours — maybe take a quick nap, grab breakfast and a shuttle back to the airport.
First of all — when many of us from the flight couldn’t find cabs to take us where, I had the bright idea to try calling the front desk of the hotel that I was going to stay on – bad idea #1 — the front desk woman gave me a number to a cab company where no one answered the phone — and sent you to another number which directed you back to the first. The flight crew was trying to get a cab as well, so luckily, they had figured out some contacts and I got cab over to me at the airport to take me to the hotel.
Once I got a cab to get me from the airport to the hotel, the cabbie called her to get landmarks and directions and she couldn’t give them any directions — because he wasn’t familiar with the hotel location. So I paid for the cab driver to get lost basically because she couldn’t give any directions to the hotel THAT SHE WAS WORKING AT — she kept saying that he had to stick it in his GPS. I also called from the cab to try to get the driver some directions and she told me that she only had the directions that they gave her on the paper to give out to people who asked directions to the hotel — seriously?
Finally once I got to the hotel, I was tired and frustrated after a day of travel and all I wanted to do was to go to my room and take my shoes off and use the restroom — but they gave me a smoking room and the smoke was SO STRONG that I couldn’t even breathe when I opened the door. She insisted that I requested a smoking room (I don’t smoke and the smoke gives me a headache and stings my eyes — and I know EXACTLY what is in my travel profile — its always a non –smoking room.). and then her tune changed and she wanted to blame my agent since it was booked through a third party travel agent. And had they been honest about that maybe my travel agent could have found some place else to book my hotel. She didn’t even apologize — or offer to spray something to help the smoke smell (which wouldn’t have helped, but at least she would showed that she was trying) and then said that there were no other rooms.
She was utterly un-​helpful for someone in the hospitality business — and she kept saying, «I know that your’e having a rough night» — really? ya think? I had to deal with her and all her unhelpful tips — seriously who doesn’t know how to give directions to a place that you’re working at – or at least have the moxie to figure it out — hello — google maps much? how about you try being empathetic instead of getting defensive and saying I can’t blame you and to get mad at my travel agent– well I CAN blame you and I DO!
I ended up getting a cab back to the airport and waiting for my flight there — thank goodness I had phone with me because she was not helpful with that (and I didn’t ask — but the internet code didn’t even work so that I could book a cab online) — so here I am, at the airport, where I still have my shoes on, have a terrible headache (and nausea) from smoke and my eyes are red and burning.
Stay away from this place — tons of other places to stay if you want to near the airport (including the airport, where I’m hanging out tonight with 3 other families, crappy 80s soft rock music played over the loud speaker) and you get someone who can direct you to the location or give you the number of a reliable cab company, then you’re already WAY head of the service you’ll get at this place.
Two words — GOOGLE MAPS!!!

The place is a bit old and run down. It is in a good location with restaurants all around. Things we had issue with was no Water pressure in the shower. The shower was just a trickle. I had to remove the shower head and then I had some volume, but still not allot of pressure, but we the volume was good. The toilets made a loud whale like noise after each flush. The kids thought it was someone letting go a big fart!
The Pool was Green. To scared to go swimming and it just sat idle. I guess everyone else was scared too.

The suite I stayed in was pretty large which was nice. But the sinks were clogged, one TV didn’t have sound, and something was wrong with the air conditioner, because it made a lot of noise, and soaked the carpet. Maybe it was leaking?
My room faced the highway, so it was very noise and I couldn’t sleep.
The breakfast was large but not tasty at all.
Overall it was ok for the price, but it would have been nicer if I was somewhere quieter and more updated.
The front desk people were very nice but extremely slow. They took their time doing everything, which maybe is normal in Texas, but I was on a time crunch.
The shuttle service was right on time which was fantastic, and the woman driver was very nice.

I didn’t like that everything is far on foot. Although. because of their super duper awesome shuttle service… they can give you a lift as long as you know where to go. but… you’d have to take a cab back… The only restaurant close by is the Taco something… which is BAD.
ROOM: Huge. Cheap.
However, i stayed at Room 400 and in my bedroom, i didn’t have wi-​fi. But by the «living room» sorta. There was… but wi-​fi ain’t good.
Old TV. Never seen a TV that Fat in the back in years.
What are those called? Tube TVs?
POOL: scuury. the doors to the patio were wide open all day and door is unlocked. Someone from outside could just jump on that fence and swim for free.
The pool color has an illusion of green, which makes it look gross and slimey.
PS: if you are considering a stay here for business with UNITED AIRLINES … if you book on their website, they give you 30% discount… so don’t use Expedia.

My boyfriend and I stayed there for a weekend in January for my birthday. The room was smaller than I thought it would be for the price and very average. We got the whirlpool suite and I did enjoy that. The jacuzzi was dirty or dusty and we asked for cleaning supplies but the guy at the front desk said that he couldn’t find any cleaner to give us but bleach. It was kinda noisy and the people next door to us were very loud although during our whole stay we rarely saw any of the patrons that were staying at the hotel, which made it funny to us on how much noise we heard. The breakfast was alright but nothing to talk about. The first day they had tacos and the tortillas were very hard. The next day the bacon was hard and so was the bread. they did have a small fitness center in which we utilized. I will choose a better quality hotel next time because the room was just too small for the price.
