Once again I’m here on a Sunday… the best bar tender is behind the bar and one of the most personable managers is in. Crystal and Adam alone make coming to Joes the best part of my week. They are very professional and personable! I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else! I love my crew at Joe’s in Humble!

The server was good and the staff friendly. We were seated quickly and had a party of five. I had coconut shrimp, fries and hush puppies. I also had a side salad. The salad was a little warmer than I cared for and the rest of the dinner really greasy but it was all fried. Everyone that got fried food agreed that it was not great but the grilled and broiled dishes were excellent. I have had much better meals at JCS. I only gave it 4 stars because the service and people were awesome. I will go back and choose a healthier item.

We came to Joe’s on a Saturday night for my daughter’s birthday. Since it was 7pm on a Saturday evening & the place was only half full should have been an indication things are not doing well here. We were a group of 5, so were seated in the middle. The air conditioner was blowing directly on us & it was freezing. The waitress(who was trying her best) checked two other empty tables & reported same problem. She was even cold! She told someone whom I presume was the manager, & he loudly stated«can’t do anything about it!» The interior does not look like it is well maintained. Actually looks like no one cares as seemed to be the management attitude. Our food was OK, but was cold before we finished because the AC was blowing so hard! The only saving grace was our waitresss! Been here lots of other times, but doubt we will ever come back.

Food is great. Rating is based on terrible service. The place wasn’t even busy and our sever hardly came by. When I finally managed to flag him down for our check, he never came back to pick up the payment. I had to go up and hand him my card. Management needs to either train the current employees properly or hire better ones.

First off, I haven’t been to Joes Crabshack in years. The server named Melon made my experience here terrible when I was trying to celebrate a happy moment with my sister and mom. She looked at us rude and had a fake attitude the entire time. I wasn’t even done with the majority of my meal when she kept asking us if I was done and then she brings my check early and never refills my drink. I ended up having the drink my mom and sister’s water. I’m very upset and and my experience here was terrible. The server named Melon should be fired. I still gave her a tip to be nice, but she absolutely doesn’t deserve it. Management here needs to step up. Employees were also hovered in the front chatting up personal conversation loud enough to interrupt our meal and I thought whoever manages place needs to care about the customers experience and that manager should be terminated also. Don’t go here, service was terrible and food was subpar. Go to Babins seafood, WAYYYY Better!!!

Came to Joe’s on a Friday night for dinner. Good atmosphere, very ocean like and seafood type place fits well. Not a long wait to get seated, we were seated in about 5 minutes, but after we sat down we waited quite a while for our waiter to come by and take drink orders. By the time she came by to take down drink orders, we had already finished looking in the menu and ready to order our food. When she dropped off our drinks she didn’t leave any straws, and I was ready to drink my Sprite, not to mention she only brought ¾ drinks. When she did bring back the fourth drink she gave us straws after asking. The appetizer came out mighty fast, just plain jane mozzarella sticks. Super good, nice and hot with 8 of them most places give 5 or so, so double plus. The waiter refilled our drinks with out asking, good hawk eye she has. She started disappearing slowly as we sat there. The longer we sat the colder it got in the restaurant. It started to get uncomfortably cold & we were still waiting on food. Food took an awfully long time to cone out. Now this experience turned into the absolute worse. The food finally arrived, and it looked so amazingly good. LIES. The food was cold and terrible. Thats was absolutely terrible. To start: How do you mess up french fries? How how how. Those fries were terrible. Ore Ida fries from Target or Walmart 1000 times better. Steak was cold and tough a hungry rabid dog wouldn’t have eaten it, couldn’t even cut it. The shrimp was soggy and gross. Sad part is I love shrimp. Very Depressing. Crab Dirty Rice was probably the best part of the cold sorry plate. Next plate cheese pizza. Looked terrible, but quote, «this is the worse pizza and fries i ever ate in my life». that explains enough. Cedar Salmon cold and terrible. The boil was seasoned well would’ve probably been good if hot. Afterwards the manager came by and discounted our food and gave us a card for the next time. Very good move on his side. Very disappointed in Joe’s today.

We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday and the place was nearly empty. I was surprised because I’ve long been a fan of Joe’s at many locations. I ordered the southern stuffed shrimp with broccoli and rice. The shrimp came out with burned bacon wrapped around them — and I mean ALL of them were charred black. Broccoli was good, rice was so-so(not a fan of the seasoning). Everything was cold and the shrimp stuffing had that Pre-made, frozen old seafood taste. Yuck. So disappointing. My hubs had a seafood platter which he said was delicious. Everything was hot and crispy, and his shrimp were very good. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly. Not sure if we’ll come back again. Joe’s used to be so good, but not so anymore. Very inconsistent.

Service was slow and in accurate, quality of food was no better than Captain Ds or Long John Silver. The only plus side was the play ground for the kids. other than that I won’t be back.

Although the food was just okay, the atmosphere was fun. We went for a birthday dinner for a friend. We had reservations and our group all total was about 18. We were assigned only one server. Our server was very friendly, but could not seem to keep up with drink orders, so it took almost an hour before we were actually asked what meal we would like to order. Everyone finally got thier orders in — the wait was nominal, but the food my family ordered was just warm. Now, these are supposed to be hot boils, but it seems as though the kitchen waited for them all to be finished prior to delivering them all to our group. As luck would have it, they forgot my daughter’s order altogether and had to make it on the fly. At least hers was piping hot! After about 10 minutes of cracking lobster and crab, we discovered that my meal was missing the andouille sausage, and my daughter’s was missing the lobster claws.(Moral: Check your food closely.) I called our server over and she rushed to the kitchen to have these missing food items prepared. Afterwards, the manager stopped by our table, apologized, and moved on. This was acceptable, in my eyes, although I didn’t get the feeling that it was his first time apologizing for a mistake from the kitchen. Now, there were three of us on our check, but when the bill came it had a «suggested gratuity», already added to the total, of 18%. I don’t know if this is still legal in Texas, but it has been outlawed in other U.S. states — the forcible gratuity. Don’t get me wrong, I believe in tipping when the service is worth it — and I am not a miser. However, being forced to tip 18% whan it took an hour to order, and two out of three meals were incorrect doesn’t resonate with me as deserving of 18%. Please note that there were more than enough personnel on staff to have provided us a second server. Although it was cute that a large group of the staff came out and line-danced to the Cotton-eyed Joe; in my opinion they would have been more useful helping to ensure that our large party was being served more expediously — especially since they were obviously planning on «suggesting» large tips. FOOD: Okay SERVICE: Polite but slow COST: Reasonable

It was descent, not horrible or spectacular. Our server was very sweet but a little slow at times coming back to the table. We were seated in the patio so I expected it a little more vs sitting inside. I thought the Orleans Steampot was really good. The crab dip was great as well. We also got the s’mores desert and it was delicious but the chocolate cake was cold on the bottom. It was evident that they had thrown it together and stuck it under the broiler without a lot of attention paid. Overall an average experience. We also got the Classic Sampler appetizer. The food was very good but I thought the presentation was a little lazy. Just the food put on a plate with paper cups containing marinara for the calamari and ranch for the Great Balls of Fire. A little garnish would have gone a long way on presentation. My son enjoyed the playground. I do wish they would change out the sand for the padding though as he still has sand in his shoes and really, who wants their kid eating with sand all over them? It’s a nice place but a few small touches would have made a big difference.

Food was very gross… Shrimp was over cooked and chewy, fish has«hard» if that’s even a word to describe an over cooked or something that has been sitting under a headlamp. The dirty rice… definitely tasted like dirt. Had a fishy taste to it also. I will not come back to this location. Something is just wrong with this place, now we just hope we don’t end up getting sick

Joe’s was definitely focused on service the night we were there. It didn’t hurt that it was a Monday; normally a slow day, I’m sure. We received a free sampler, not sure why. They were trying hard. The server was attentive and prompt. The manager even checked in on us. The food was good with a caveat. The BBQ crab was a bit overcooked, but not too badly. My wife ordered a drink which tasted soapy. After a quick huddle with the manager, our server brought another drink and the manager apologized about the first. Another win for Joe’s. Overall, it was a great dining experience with good food and great service. We will be back!

This is a great place to grab some good seafood and let the kids play. The food is always fresh and delicious. We have grown accustom to sitting on the patio and watching the kids play in the designated area. I do wish that they would replace the sand with some type of kids park floor matting like many of the newer kids outdoor playgrounds. When they return to the table its a hassle getting all of the sand off them and out of their shoes and socks. I also worry about what might be under that sand one day that could hurt a child. I would also suggest they raise the height of the outer wall of playground to help prevent kids from walking on it. I had the bloody mary this last time, extra spicy, and it was SOGOOD. I will definitely be ordered again, very light and refreshing in the summer temps of the evening.

We caught lunch here a few days ago and had a great time. We sat inside and ate at a slow time of day so our orders were taken quickly and the food was delicious! Those of our party who ordered the Joe’s Classic Crab Pots took forever finishing their meals(compared to the rest of us shrimp lovers). Good thing we had some good beer for the long wait. :) What I love about this Joe’s is their outdoor seating and the adjoining kids play ground area and sand box, which is great for us parents with younger kids. The ambiance is the usual Joe’s fun and the outside grounds are gorgeous. The covered, outdoor sitting area is awesome on days when it’s cool enough. What I’m not crazy about is that the inside restaurant is pretty boxy, plain and a little boring compared to some of the other locations I’ve visited(San Antonio’s riverwalk location being my favorite). I’ve noticed other reviewers mentioning the slow service. I have found this to be true when you sit outside, but not when seated inside. Depending on the time of day, it seems to me they just don’t keep such a great eye on the outdoor area and customers, but we’ve generally been served very quickly whenever seated indoors. The wait staff at this location are also not as fun as you’ll find in some JCS, but they do their job well. Other than that though, we’ve always enjoyed our visits here and the management, in particular, is always very helpful and attentive in making sure we are enjoying our visit. Will definitely be visiting again.

Third coast platter is awesome! iwould give it five stars to this location but one time my waiter took 20 mins to give me my utensils smh! seemed as if he was stalling or ignoring or just plain stupid, so the manager redeemed him and gave us free desert. other then that food is delicious and the décor is cool.
