Don’t waste your money. Margaritas tasted like a cheap mix. My husband’s chicken fajitas, while cooked decently, had the same blandness as hospital food and the beans looked like a puréed mess — wholly unappealing. The guacamole salad did consist of a real avocado, but not much else in terms of taste. My spinach enchilada wasn’t much more than sautéed spinach in a tortilla and covered in queso. The queso was edible but nothing worth getting excited about. Service was incredibly slow, even to get a glass of water. Humble, where’s the Tex-Mex worth eating?

1 star I took my grand daughter tonight and the food was awful. The guacamole tasted like green mayonnaise, The rice looked OK but tasted burnt. Taco was dripping greasy water. Bean soup tasted like fake bacon flavor and couldn’t taste the beans at all. The tortillas on the enchiladas were rancid tasting and thick, hard and chewy. My grand daughters burrito was an enchilada but we were told it was a burrito. Strange it looked and tasted just like my enchilada. It was an awful experience and I will never go back. The childs meal was comped off the ticket but to have a whole night ruined with my grand daughter, whom I haven’t seen in almost two months, was a total disappointment. Besides the food complaint the volume of the the music was so loud it made it hard to talk to each other much less communicate with the waitress. The reviews of this place seem to be hit or miss with it being good. I am never taking the chance of going again. If I get sick tonight from what little I ate I made sure to get my receipt for my lawyer. I advise anyone eating there to do the same.

So we went here for dinner one time, we live in the area and wanted to check it out. the meals were reasonably priced. we ordered something, i forgot what it was, something mexican probably, and when we got the food it was okay, not the worst we had. i mean the flavor was pretty good and basic, the beans tasted like those little cans of frito bean dip that you can buy for chips. i started to get my chips and just dip them in the beans.

I’ve been here a few times and really feel bad for the folks that own it. They try but it’s just not good. The salsa is ok but too many inedible big chunks of onion and cilantro in it. Tonight they served me a poblano that was full of seeds and tasted like dirt. The waiter told me it’s was prepped a couple days ago and offered to cook a fresh one. So ok I will try it. A shot at redemption I applaud the effort. But why serve something old I the first place? Ok the redo while fresh this time still not so great.

Our first visit — we’ll be back! Excellent, fast, friendly service. Delicious chile con queso! I ordered the La Princesa plate — beef fajita, cheese enchilada, rice & beans with avocado salad. I put some of the chile con queso, jalapeño and salsa in with the rice & beans. Oh my goodness! For a girl who’s been otherwise eating healthy all month, this was a real treat! My husband and 21 year old son were also thoroughly pleased with the food and service.

So after all the bad reviews I read I went there to check out how bad it is. Well sign said under new management. I went and had some pretty decent food, good /cheap drinks and excellent service! I wanted to sit outside(it was windy as fu…) and got cold. I had no jacket and the staff went out off their way to get me a jacket to wear while being there!! all in all I think they deserve a second chance ! I liked it a lot!

Great fajitas for two special on Monday night(we try to go every week). They are cheap and delicious! Very clean restaurant and very attentive wait staff. I’ve never experienced anything like the negative reviews here, but mistakes can happen on occasion. Definitely not the rule.

Really upset to see all the negative reviews. I think it is a case of only unhappy ppl posting and those who like the place, just not. The food was delicious! My husband who is British and hates Mexican food(who knew that was possible?) devoured his plate and said it was the best he ever had. Everyone’s food was great and the customer service was wonderful as well. I live in Austin but plan to go to Las Ramadas whenever I am in Houston. Def’n give them a try and it won’t disappoint!

I drive past this place every day on my way to work. It looks really nice. It’s in an excellent location. On the weekends, it is hopping outside on their patio. So I assumed that it would be pretty good. When my friend and I first walked in, we saw on their sign in the lobby that they had 99 cent small margaritas… Ok, off to a good start! We get to our table and I ask for one of these and the waiter informs me that that is only on Mondays. So today it’s 1.75. So I said ok, but they might want to change that sign. He apologized of course. I started to look at the menu and the menu states that these same margaritas are in fact 75 cents on Monday, not 99. Something screwy going on here, for sure. We got«complimentary queso» which, I swear to you, was melted velveeta with a little rotel in it. There were still chunks of the processed cheese unmelted. Then I went to order the lunch fajitas. The menu states that you can choose between chicken, beef, and pork. I ask for the pork and the waiter tells me they don’t have pork for the lunch fajitas… even though it is clearly stated on the lunch menu. So I ordered the chicken fajitas. They come with only onions… no bell peppers at all. The chicken was super dry and definitely tasted as though they had bought the frozen strips and just stuck them straight from the freezer onto the skillet. I am incredibly disappointed and I know the waiter knew, because he started to avoid our table as though we had the plague. Best part: margarita. It’s usually pretty hard to screw those up. That explains how busy they are on the weekends. Alcohol makes even the barely passable foods taste delicious!

Came here because they mailed out a flyer with coupons. I just moved into the neighborhood so I figured I would give it a try. Not impressed. Food was below par. Definitely wont be going back, even with a coupon.

We had not been here in 6 years, since we moved away from Humble, but we went there after the Humble Lions ride this weekend. We were just as happy with it this time as we were when we were regulars. First, they have happy hour on weekends so we got $ 2.99 margaritas and they were very good. Just ask for a real straw because they served it with a coffee stir straw and nothing comes through it. Second, my husband cannot have wheat, so when we asked if the fajitas have soy sauce, the manager said yes but immediately said he could quickly season and cook some unmarinated meat, beef or chicken, for him. He went with beef, and, although it was a bit tough, it has passed the test of time to prove it was gluten free. I ordered the Chicken Diablos, which were not what I expected, but that could be my fault. I thought it would be a chicken filet wrapped around cheese and jalapeño, then wrapped in bacon, like the brochette shrimp at the Pappas restaurants. However, it was a half of a jalapeño stuffed with cheese, a chicken filet on top, then the thing wrapped in bacon. If I could handle that much jalapeño, it would probably have been delicious. I had to take it apart to eat it, and I still had burning lips for a while. We will certainly return if we are back in the Humble area, and we will go between 11 and 7 to catch their daily happy hour!

You know, a friend of mine has a saying, «There is no such thing as excellent Tex-Mex. It’s either good, or bad.» I actually have to disagree with her on a couple of joints I know, but in the end, I think her saying holds true. Most places I’ve been serve up good food that fits within the parameters of traditional reddish brown gravy and yellow cheese TexMex. Las Ramadas is one of those places. They have an extensive TexMex menu with all the favorites on it. They use the same olé gravy you have come to love on your enchiladas. They use the yellow melty cheese. The ground beef is exactly the same greasy goodness you remember from your childhood and the chicken enchiladas tasty. They have carne asada, chalupas, tamales… you know the menu. Everything I’ve had has been OK. Not exciting, not delicious, Ok. Service is always good. I’ve not had an issue with that. Their booze is plentiful and affordable. The ambiance is family festive and can get loud at times. I like to go at the odd hours for quietitude. I really cannot say that I have had a bad dish at Las Ramadas. I also cannot say I’ve had an exceptional meal here. In general, we use it as «the Mexican food joint closest to home». If we have the time to drive farther, we will.

Editing my review since we don’t go here often. This place changes hands all the time, and since they never change the name, I have no idea what I’m going to get. Definitely worth a try though!

The food is pretty good. The margaritas are great. I have been here a number of times. In the past I have ordered the veggie quesadilla which I thought was good. I have not tried the house salad yet but I am wanting to. Does anyone know if the rice has chicken stock or the beans have lard in them? I am a vegetarian so I am kind of weary about ordering at Mexican restaurants.

This place definitley has an advantage as it is on the edge of our neighborhood less than a mile from the house. And it’s an easy meet up place for the family. Plus they send out coupon in the money mailers! The waiters are usually really nice and show the right amount of attention. Yeah this isn’t your upscale Mexican food that you might find in the big city, but most of the time when I am craving Mexican food, I want good chips and salsa and old school somewhat greasy mexican. The salsa is good, served warm, though it was a little salty this past time. I usually chicken enchiladas or a combo plate and have never tried something I didn’t like. I like that you can get combos that don’t come with rice and beans. Monday and Tuesday they have $ 1.99 regular margaritas and on Thursdays they have $ 1.99 flavored margaritas. Try the banana, it’s yummy and it has an extra kick thanks to the banana liquor! If you come across a coupon, give this place a try!

My parents LOVE this place. I can only assume that’s because of the margaritas and not the food. They come here every Monday for drinks and dinner. They call it «margarita madness.» I, however, call it bland and tasteless. My cheese enchiladas were nothing but velveeta wrapped in a tortilla covered in more velveeta. Really, that’s the best you can do?

My family has been eating here since this place opened and it generally has been pretty good food with the occasional exception. We even came here with the extended family on Christmas Eve two years ago to have our traditional Mexican feast. It’s always been pretty decent food, until recently that is. We came here for dinner one night and the food was terrible — cold, exceptionally greasy, and generally bad. After a few months had past, we decided to give it a second chance and ordered some take out recently. First of all, it took them forever to get the order right. The woman on the phone kept repeating everything wrong but eventually she got it down and said it would take 15 minutes. We drove to the restaurant and my mom and I went in to pick up the food which wasn’t ready yet after 15 minutes so we waited. The credit card machine screwed up so the order had to voided and charged on a different machine in the back which wouldn’t have been a big deal if nothing else had gone wrong. Finally our food was brought out in a large paper sack and then the manager came out to check the order(after it was bagged). He put it on a table and took out each thing and looked at it and then realized they were missing a few things so we went back to get them. The whole thing took 10 minutes in addition to the 5 we had waited in the restaurant and the initial 15 it was supposed to take. I was glad the manager double-checked the order to make sure it was right but it should have been checked before it went into the bag. By the time we got home the food was practically ice cold. This was not a good experience. I hate to write negative reviews of a place but the food and the experience was bad enough to warrant it. Next time(if there is one) that I come here I hope the experience and the food is much better.
