Dr. Richards grew up in Cleveland, Texas. After high school he attended Texas A & M University, and was recognized as a distinguished student. In 1985, Dr. Richards graduated from The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Yes, he is part Aggie, part Longhorn! After dental school, he completed a comprehensive two-​year full time residency in orthodontics at The University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Kentucky and is a certified specialist in the field of orthodontics
