Smoked Bar & Grill

Madison was a very good waitress for us, we had combos and they were very good, loved the Brisket & the Ribs, pulled pork & wings are great too. Excellent sides, baked beans, fries, coleslaw was good but the baked corn W bacon & chipolte was awesome and the prices are reasonable, good service & atmosphere. Oh yeah the Shrimp ceviche was awesome too!

We had a wonderful time at Smokes. Food was great and the bartender was very knowledgeable with my husbands questions on the different beers. Will totally return to this restaurant again.

My wife and I we’re looking for a place we had never been, took a chance on Smoked and we’re both glad we did. We had great service that was lightning fast! I wish I could same the same for the couple next to us, their service took a bit longer… Anyhoo, the food was great and we feel the price was extremely reasonable for the style. Loved the Troegwnator BBQ sauce!!! You could eat that by the spoonful! I actually did! Can’t wait for them to sell that by the bottle, cause we’re going to order a case!

I went to this place on 2÷10÷16.
My entrée was pulled pork, it came out cold and had no flavor, it probably was sitting around all day.
The fries were obviously frozen and over done. The only thing I actually liked was the chips and guacamole.
My boyfriend got a brisket sandwich, it was slightly dry. Nothing special sorry.

Everything we ordered from the wings to the salmon and the brisket basket were delicious. Non-​greasy meaty wings. Even the cinnamon butter roll was hard to stop eating. Finished with a refreshing Andes mint at the door. Definitely planning on returning.

This was my 1^st time to this restaurant. I opted for The Doughnut and it was very good.

The food is always great, and there’s a good beer selection. Service is attentive and friendly. They have food for everyone, especially if you like your meat. I come back quite a bit, and recommend it to others.

I never would have thought about using grilled cheese sandwiches as hamburger buns. It’s amazing. Great non piss beer selection

Meh. I found this spot on Unilocal and was excited to try it based on the reviews and the menu.
When I arrived I was quickly seated at a bar booth and waited for the server to come. When she came over a few minutes later she took my drink and food order at the same time. After 5 – 7 minutes the manager asked if she had waited on table 74 yet… I assumed that was me and was confirmed when the server said she had not brought my drink yet. A few minutes later she showed up with my drink… and my food. Ok?
I was excited by the 7 BBQ sauces in the table and decided to pour some of each on a French fry. They were all equally bad until I got to the sweet baby rays… which is obviously a national brand. I mixed some of that with the hot BBQ sauce and have stomach issues since I got back to the hotel.
On a positive note I will say the baked beans were excellent. They maintained the texture of the bean, which typically doesn’t happen with baked beans. The ribs were not bad and fell off of the bone.
I would not eat here again and advise you try another spot as well.

I ate here last week for the first time. I went with a few colleagues from work on a week day. I was pleasantly surprised! We were seated promptly in a clean large table. The waiter was helpful withenu descriptions. The tap list was very good with local and domestic drafts. The guacamole was delicious-​slightly salty and slightly spicy. I had a grilled portobello burger as I’m vegetarian. The portobello was well done and sonce you can chose your flavors I chose the spicy Cajun one which wasn’t spicy but tasty! Also their fries are all fresh cut.

Stopped in here on day one of our vacation, was immediately seated. Loved the atmosphere, kids got crayons to color as well as colorful bendy twisted to play with. Complimentary chips and salsa. Husband loved the brisket and the vast beer choices. I had chicken Madeira. Cost was very reasonable. Would definately eat there again.

Food is always right on point. It always is impressive each time we are there. I would say that it is a tad on the expensive side but I would have to say that has to do with the atmosphere. Always would recommend the creamed corn as a side. I like the sampler with brisket, pulled chicken and pulled pork

We loved it (fiancé and I), he’s a huge pork and brisket person. Everything was delicious and quick! I recommend making a reservation so you can get right in like us! The smoke flavor in the meat is out of this world amazing! Craft beers– good and the variety of BBQ is cool!

Nice hot or cold sandwiches. Nice selection of adult refreshments. Service ok. Kid friendly.
Nice for lunch or dinner after visiting Hsypark.

Stopped in tonight for our first time. Ordered wings as an appetizer which were good. Then we waited over a half hour for our meals (a burger and pulled pork). We wouldn’t really care except a party of 6 near us got served before we did and our meal order was placed before theirs was.
Not to mention that their fries are very salty and a medium ordered burger comes out well done.
The atmosphere is nice and casual, the prices aren’t bad except for the alcohol. I just don’t know that I’d want to go back.

Woah!!! Soooo good! Our waitress was super nice and recommended the prime rib sandwich special which was to die for. Hubby had pulled pork which he also loved. So many more things on the menu we would have tried too. Try this place next time you are looking for a place close to Hersheypark!

Good solid BBQ joint with many options and a pretty good beer list. The beer list wasn’t as huge as I expected from reviews, with only about 5 beers on tap, but those available were pretty good craft and local options from Stoudt’s and Troegs. The location is convenient to Hershey Park and the town’s other attractions and the lot is fairly big so parking is easy. The menu is mostly burgers and bbq like pulled pork, ribs, and brisket. They even have something like 7 types of bbq sauce on each table. The brisket and pulled pork were good, especially with the sauce but a little dry and super salty. I ended up feeling very dehydrated after because of the sodium. Service was very good and super attentive. I actually got several water refills. Smoked is one of the better restaurants in the area and a good choice when visiting Hershey.

Stopped in here after work because it was convenient. I was mostly interested in having a drink, but decided to have a little snack too. We ordered the calamari, which I had serious doubts about ordering. I like to get to know a restaurant a little bit before I jump in with the seafood, since so many places get it so wrong. But, I was proven wrong. It was excellent: perfectly cooked and seasoned. I could do that again.

Food was excellent! The Cajon Wings are a great dry rub and I enjoyed. Tried 2 combo and selected ½ rack of ribs with brisket. Brisket moist and several BBQ sauces on table so tried a little of them all including bourbon, hot hot, and Carolina Gold and many others. Ribs had a spicy dry rub again which enjoyed. Even the caesar salad and sweet potato as sides were very good. Staff are relatively new and it shows, as they needed to check with others to answer questions. Regardless, they were pleasant.

Calamari was amaze balls awesome texture and I don’t even know what to say about the sauce. Dog fish head 120 IPA in stock also amazing. My party ordered the pulled pork beef brisket and smoked sausage dinner. The sweet and tangy tequila bbq sauce is life put that on everything you eat even the biscuits. Mason was an amazing server request for him whenever you come here!

Three visits over the past year and each time was a solid hit:
Visit #1: (fall 2014) Hubby and I treated ourselves to a nice dinner out and decided to give Smoked a try. I had a mixed platter of some choice — what I recall the most was the excellent sausage. It was fresh and fantastic. My drink was great too. It was a ginger mint mojito. The place was busy and loud but we enjoyed our food and were able to converse.
Visit #2: (early winter 2015) Since we liked it so much the first visit, we decided to pop in for a late dinner. This time we sat on the bar side. I tried a chicken sandwich on a grilled donut. It was banging! And I had to get the ginger mint mojito again. Something wasn’t right with it. I’m not wise in the world of mixed drinks but it didn’t taste the same. It wasn’t as sweet. I reluctantly told our server. The host came over and I explained to her why I wasn’t as pleased with it and she figured out the missing ingredient. A new drink was made and it was perfect! The bartender double-​checked with me on the replacement and I gave him the thumb’s up. He apologized and told me what was different/​missed/​whatever and explained what had happen. Everyone was so friendly and helpful about the «whoopsie» that I was happy to order a second ginger mojito later.
Visit #3 (June 2015) A summer tradition is to take my niece and nephew (twins) out for lunch at least once a month but it has to be a place either they or I haven’t been before. Smoked was a perfect choice as the kids had not been there but are fans of pulled pork. Our visit was during a weekday and at a later lunch time. My niece decided to try the chicken donut sandwich since I said how much I enjoyed it, my nephew had the pulled pork, and I had a burger on a donut sandwich. I liked the balsamic glazed onions on my sandwich — it was a neat combo with the sweet of the donut. Everyone LOVED their food and were FULL. The kids both commented that they were choosing Smoked for their birthday dinner. Sure enough, in July, their family took them there for their birthday!
Positives:
Good Food — everything we ate was good. Some more memorable than others.
Decent Seating — first time I took my wheelchair, it was a little «tight» but manageable. Second visit I was able to fit into a booth on the bar side, third time I snagged a round corner booth.
Homemade BBQ Sauces — a set of six or seven on the table for you to mix and match

Neutrals:
Staff — first time, okay. second time, terrific. third time, okay First visit they were BUSY. Third, the guy was nice but seemed harried.
Negative — only negative for us is the price. It is a «touch» expensive for our budget. In other words, we can’t visit every week or month but a few times a year works out well.
All-​in-​all, it is a good choice for BBQ, beer, and better food than a chain restaurant. We’ll be back!

Great BBQ and a really good selection of small-​brewery beers. I had the pulled pork and it was pretty darn good. Not the best I’ve ever had (see 12 bones!), but pretty darn good. The selection of 7 sauces at the table was nice. They were varied, and every one was a winner. I had perfect onion rings and some really good mac’n’cheese as sides. All in all, a great place. Hey, they even have Wil Wheaton’s stout on tap!

Food was good, prices a little too much. Food was good. No complaints at all. I could have had the same experience somewhere else for a couple bucks cheaper. But we were passing and decided to stop. I had the pulled pork and my buddy had the brisket sandwich. Good flavor and taste.

I like to get to know the owners of places because their passion and ethic trickle down to the rest of the managers and staff. From there you’ll know if you’re going to have a consistent experience, good or bad. Smoked never disappoints. If you’re not happy they’re not happy.
The food is outstanding. Everything from the barbecue to the seafood and the grilled vegetables. The salsa is Rockin and the guacamole is delicious. The ceviche is also really good.
There’s always a great selection of craft brews on tap. The owner is picky about his wine and so there are some good wine options.
The takeout is accurate and just as delicious. I commonly pick up for business lunches.
