University School of Hunting Valley, Ohio is an all boys 9 – 12 school. University School is independent of any religious affiliation and pushes young boys in order to prepare for college and life beyond school. Many national merit finalists come out of our small classrooms. Each class is strictly 10 – 12 students per teacher, creating a strong, personalized bond between instructor and pupil. We believe individual attention is the key to success.
History
Established in 1890.
Since its establishment in 1890, University School has served as a model for the American independent day school. Founding headmaster Newton Anderson envisioned a school that would train boys in mental, manual and physical education. His vision endures, as more than 124 years later we continue to educate the whole boy.
