History

Established in 1978.

Over 100 years ago many State Insurance Departments saw the needs of the public when their properties and businesses were damaged and they were faced with the task of documenting and negotiating claims to present to the highly skilled adjusters hired and trained by their insurance companies.

Competent and experienced Public Adjusters are the equalizing factor available in most states and many countries to work on behalf of their clients when their lives are literally turned upside down due to property damage claims such as fires, floods, storms, mold, burglary and other perils. The coverages and exclusions are contained in the ever more confusing and ambiguous pages of their insurance policies.

In a field that once supported several ethical, knowledgeable and experienced public adjusters now is populated by hundreds in most metropolitan areas, some who have only just passed a multiple choice test as their training.

First licensed as a Public Adjuster Solicitor was hired to meet with home and business owners whose property was severely damaged by fire to review their policy, inspect their damages and explain the varied services available to them by my employer, who was an experienced Public Adjuster.

Studying and learning from a true claims expert I outgrew the firm I was working with and started Novick Adjustment Group and later Accu-​Claim Adjustment as a state licensed Public Adjuster in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

During my 25 years of experience I had the advantage of working with hundreds of insurance companies and their highly trained adjusters always learning something from each of the seasoned experts. From ’cause and origin’ investigators to property damage estimators and from insurance policy interpreters to litigation attorneys they all had lessons for me so I could aggressively and professionally represent the public when retained as their Public Adjuster.
