At M & S I received the best service and treatment ever. Queenie really did a wonderful job on my toe nails and finger nails. I challenge anyone to take advantage of the service especially on the days of Monday thru Wednesday. The service is worth every penny.

I bought a mani-pedi package on groupon for $ 18 so I decided to go 30 minutes out of my way to try this place out. The first time I went I walked in and was greeted. I asked for a mani and pedi. I was seated at one of the pedicure chairs and the lady started to run the water. I mention to her that I have a groupon deal and showed her my voucher. She said that it can not be accepted because I did not make an appointment. She went on to show me the details of the groupon and I kindly understood. Out of curiousity and just wanting to get the groupon out of the way before it expired and I forgot about it, I politely asked«what is the difference?»(just wondering because it was only myself and another lady at thet time and it did not seem like a busy place). She straight up told me we treat you differently as a walk in rather than being someone who is making an appointment. And this tended to be very true given my next expereince. So about a month later I make an appointment as my groupon is near expiring. I call and make an appointment and tell them I have a groupon over the phone this time. When I go in there are 2 men and an older lady. The older lady and the other guy are sitting in pedi chairs on ipads or watching tv the whole time. The guy who did my mani pedi rushed through it. For my pedi he only washed my feet and scrubbed a little and for my mani simple cut and file and painted my nails. After I moved to the dryer that was the last time I saw him, he went into the back after he put my belongings at the drying station. I was the only person in the whole salon. No one came to see if I needed help or checked up on me even though there was a lady and another guy right there. I left and had to put my shoes on and open the door myself, ruining two of my nails before I even left. I was so fed up and was getting late that I just left. My thoughts and experiences with groupons were that you want to give these people the best service so they will come back as regulars. Most likely the people are only at your business becasue you are offering a deal and are trying the place out for the first time. Its your business’ chance to win a customer. But I do not think they saw it that way, my experience was great the first time and horrible the second time.

So I got an amazing Groupon for a $ 12 pedicure and decided to try this place that isn’t too far from my house. I went on a Friday after work hours and was pleasantly greeted and waited upon immediately. There were plenty of technicians so no one had to wait. My pedicure was great! Just how I like it(my feet were in need of some TLC). Based on this experience I would definitely go back in the future.

Like I mentioned in a previous review, I really only get my nails done if I need them done for a special occasion since I play guitar and tend to keep my nails on the shorter side because I find that if they’re too long, they’re annoying and they get in the way. This particular occasion was my grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary and I was wearing a silver glittery dress so I hoped to find a cool shade of nail polish to match. Luckily, I did, and I ended up with a great manicurist. She was young, very friendly, and great to talk with during my manicure. My nails turned out great and held up for at least a week or two afterwards(they were chip-free the following week and looked good for 2 consecutive concerts I attended – Weird Al and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, but that’s beside the point.) Not sure if the manicurist I liked is still there, but the wait was very short and the service was great so if I ever need a manicure while I’m home in Huntingdon Valley, I know where to get my nails done.
