Great practice! I didn’t have to wait more then 10 min ties to be seen and I felt like I was their only patient. I was seen by another Dr at a different practice and was brushed off. After seeing Dr. Barrett I felt like they actually listened to me and made sure I was feeling comfortable before leaving the office. I may move my entire family over.

My first visit with Dr Barrett was amazing! He is not only extremely informative he is very efficient too. I feel very confident in his approach and have already started referring him my family members. If you are looking for a new Dr. I would highly recommend him.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Barrett’s ever since I’ve been a little girl. Even until now, there is nobody that I would trust more than Dr. Barrett when it comes to my health. He knows that just by visiting the doctor’s office or seeing needles gives me anxiety so he understands how to make me feel comfortable and at ease. Not only is he my healthcare provider, but I was also lucky enough to have him be my wedding officiant. He even met up with me and my fiancée at the time on numerous occasions after work in his office to help us with premarital counseling. He is a man of many talents, but I have to say the thing that makes him stand out from many others is the fact that you can see how much he loves his work through how he treats each and every one of his patients. I am very glad to have Dr. Barrett as my doctor, but also as somebody I can turn to for support in my life. Thank you.

Dr. Barrett is the best. I love that he makes you feel comfortable and he tries to put you at ease everytime you come. I like that he also tries to get to know you on a personal level. I had an emergency on a Friday night that required some stitching and he came in after-​hours to help me out with no hesitation. There are way better things he could’ve been doing on a Friday night instead of stitching up a doofus like me, but he did it because he cared. Come see Dr. Barrett if you are looking for someone who will treat you with a warm heart and a sense of humor. Thanks Dr. Barrett!

Just saw Dr. Barrett for the first time and all these great reviews don’t lie! I called for an appointment and they got me in within 2 hours. Not only that, I didn’t wait at all. Not even a minute! Dr. Barrett was super friendly, honest, easy to talk to and a breath of fresh air. So incredibly happy that we found him and am excited he is our primary care physician. His staff was just as great, the office is clean and very quaint. I would highly recommend seeing him if you are in need of a new doctor.

Dr Barrett and his entire staff are fantastic! They guarantee you can be seen the same day when the need arises! Several times I have shown up with my granddaughter without an appointment and got great care quickly! No need to deal with an urgent care place.
Dr B also pays close attention to the online system so you can get a referral when one is needed so fast! And using Hoag across the street for Xrays or labs is very convenient.
The office combines old fashioned care and compassion with the best of modern technology. You will love the homey office and easy parking. And of course the short waits. Once an apptmt ahead of me took over 30 minutes so I got a Starbucks gift card! Now when does THAT ever happen?! This is the gold standard in medicine!

Dr. Barrett, Brandi his PA, & Staff are by far the utmost most professional Health Care Providers out there. It’s like family when you walk through the door. Ft. Barrett’s Office is in a converted house so you do feel like you are at home the minute you walk through the door.
You can talk comfortably and openly and know you are being heard and that your concerns matter. Never have I walked out of there feeling brushed off or that all my concerns weren’t addressed.
I can appreciate the genuineness of all the staff. They are empathetic and always offer up a smile. If anything is bothering them or they have things on their minds that could distract them — you wouldn’t know it. Their focus is on you and you only!
Getting an appointment is easy too. There’s no — week or 2 waiting period. You can pretty much get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time.
I couldn’t imagine ever having to switch Physicians. Dr. B has set a pretty high bar when it comes to patient care. I don’t think I’d be satisfied anywhere else!

Dr. Barrett is amazing. He actually gets to know how patients and spends more than 5 minutes with you. He is very thorough with his evaluation and explains everything to you in terms you can understand. He is one of the only doctors I know that can get me in the same day when I call to make an appointment due to illness.

If I could give more stars I would! I can honestly say, I have never been more impressed with a doctor. Today was my first time there and I instantly thought, when my husband and I have children… I would like to bring them here. The office is adorable and warm, staff is super sweet and Dr. Barrett is thorough, patient, and a genuinely very kind person. I was thoroughly impressed form beginning to end. I got in the car after my appointment and just thought «wow…they were wonderful». Highly highly recommended!

I don’t even know where to begin about Dr. Barrett! My family and I have been patients of his for years and I developed a heart condition a couple of years ago that teams of cardiology specialists can’t help me with. My case is difficult therefore I’ve been passed around to several cardiologists. Long story short, Dr. Barrett hasn’t given up on me. It’s him that my husband and I trust the most with my situation and he has gone far above and beyond any doctor’s patient care. He isn’t just an excellent physician, he is a kind hearted man and feels like family. If you are a patient of Dr. Barrett’s, you already know what I mean. If you are not already his patient, I would highly recommend seeing him! You will find your forever physician and friend too!

Quick story. I was at an urgent care on a Friday when his office was closed. I had a severe migraine and vomiting. I had to get his authorization to be seen but instead he was near his office and asked me to meet him there to personally care for my problem. Always call for same day urgent issues and he will get you in somehow!
Dr. Barrett is simply one of a kind! He is flat out THE best Doctor I’ve had in my 33 years of life. He tries everything possible with logical and patient first thinking. He listens but will guide you in the right direction with actually medical and scientific reasoning, not personal preference. If he decides not to do something you ask for he will give a very thoughtful and reasonable explanation. Dr. Barrett will definitely take care of you and your family or get you to a great specialist who can.
The office makes you feel like you are home… probably because it’s actually a former single family residence converted to a commercial medical office off of Beach Blvd. It’s clean and well decorated. You check in and pay on a kiosk instead of waiting for an overworked and underpaid office assistant.
The staff is friendly and the nurse is awesome! If you’re appointment is at 2pm you will usually be seen at 2pm and not 2:30pm or longer. I only had to wait 30 minutes or so one time and Dr. Barrett gave me a Starbucks gift card for the inconvenience.

I could write a short novel about how great of an experience we have had with Dr. Bart Barrett and his staff. We have been blessed to have had Bart as our family doctor for over 12 years. There is no other doctor I would trust my kids life with and being a mom that is enough said. So if you’re looking for a doctor for you or your family I highly recommend Bart and his office!!!

I never thought I would say this, but I love my doctor. I am so fortunate that I came across Dr. Barrett’s name and came here for my physical. Nowadays doctors barley spend time with you and are booked to a point that can never see you. He is very kind, patience and actually takes time to speak with you. He makes you feel very comfortable and genuinely cares about your wellbeing. The staff is friendly and smile, they all make you feel you are part of a family.

Finally found a PCP I can trust and feel comfortable with. Dr. Barrett is great in both diognosing what ails you and providing caring, thoughtful bedside manner too.

I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Barrett. He has been my primary care physician for years, and he has been my wife’s doctor for even longer. My wife convinced me to switch to Dr. Barrett, and it was the best decision I ever made.
Dr. Barrett truly cares about his patients. He always takes time to listen to what I have to say, no matter how long it takes. I never feel rushed during an appointment with him.
He is more accessible then any doctor I have ever had. If necessary, I can make an appointment and see him the same day. He also schedules FaceTime appointments and I have been able to see him without leaving my home or work. I nearly fell off my chair when Dr. Barrett first told me about FaceTime appointments! This has saved me so much travel time to and from work.
He has answered every email or phone call I have sent to him the same day. I have never had to wait long to see him for an appointment. Dr. Barrett’s personable, casual demeanor always makes me feel at ease every time I see him –and I’m one of those people whose blood pressure usually goes up every time I see a doctor.
The high-​tech nature of Dr. Barrett’s practice makes things very efficient and simple. When you check in for an appointment, you do it electronically, prescriptions are sent electronically to pharmacies, he has a smart phone app that allows you to communicate with him, make appointments, etc. etc.
Dr. Barrett’s office staff is also extremely efficient and caring. Alisa, Gracie and the rest of the staff are considerate professionals that always make me feel comfortable when I come to the office. I have had nothing but good experiences with them.
Dr. Barrett and his staff deliver the very best healthcare imaginable. He has gone out of his way to help me in every way he can for years. He truly cares about his patients, and it feels great to be in the hands of such a professional.
If you want a down to earth, honest, accessible doctor that will truly care about your health, Dr. Barrett is your man. I feel so lucky I found him.

So a Sting Ray stung me in the left foot (8 months after one stung me in the right foot) while I was surfing. Trust me, it hurts like a bitch.
Anyways, where was I? Oh yeah Dr Barrett! How did I find him? Lemme tell you a story. I was looking for a Dr. that took my health insurance and low and behold I found Dr. Barrett on Unilocal when everyone said how awesome he was. Plus I decided on him because my sister always calls me Bart so there is that.
Where was I? Oh yeah. I didn’t actually meet the Dr. until yesterday but his staff sent me to a great surgeon who cured my Hernia which is awesome.
I went in for my sting ray injury and he told me that it was not heavily infected and not only did I not need a prescription, he also told me I didn’t need to come back the following week for a checkup. He said it like this
«I am honest, probably too honest but I believe this world would be a better place if more people were concerned with doing the right thing than earning a buck».
I have such great respect for his honesty and I would highly recommend him to anyone I know. He is a great doctor, an honest man and he will not go out of his way to rip you off. The best part was that I was able to get an appointment on the same day.
If you ever get attacked by an animal or human and require non hospital care, look no further than this man and his wonderful staff.
Even if you just have a minor illness, he is cool for that too.

I choose this doctor because of all of the positive reviews on Unilocal.Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Barrett was a poor one. I found the doctor to be a very nice man but also very opinionated. I am a person who stays in good shape, eats well, exercises often and rarely goes to the doctor. In addition, I am also the type of person who works very hard which has recently put some stress on my life.
I went to see Dr. Barrett and explained to him the situation but he quickly brushed it off and went back to telling me how amazing his office is, how high tech he is and how he has all of these amazing reviews online. All of this was true but still no suggestions on how to deal with my problem. He was ready to leave and send me on my way when I brought up my issue again. Anyways, without going too much into detail, Dr. Barrett offered close to zero value in my situation.
It seems like doctor has his believes and there is nothing in this world that would make him change that or think outside the box. Unfortunately for me/​us not all people fit in the same category, thus, he should not use a cookie cutter solution for everyone that walks into his office. Nonetheless, I was able to find a new doctor in the area that I am much more happy with.
