History

Established in 1970.

Our beautiful office prides itself from serving Huntington Beach for over 40 years. Most of our dentists, staff, and patients have been long term residents of the community. We have a very «family orientated’ style of practice which believes knowing and understanding our patients needs first. We also strive to give our patients alternative dental solutions and educate our patients as to the benefits of each proposed treatment. Meet the Manager

Daryl Y.

Manager

Dr. Daryl W. Yokochi is a California Board Certified practicing dentist with over 30 years of dental experience. He is the current managing dentist of Beach Family & Cosmetic Dentistry for the past 13 years. He is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School in 1983. Since graduating from dental school, Dr. Yokocki has taken many continuing education courses which has kept him up-​to-​date with the latest technology that dental science has to offer. He is very well versed in the area of implant and cosmetic restorations, as well as general dentistry. He is also knowledgeable in the area of TMD pain and sleep apnea treatment.

He obtained his Invisalign Certification 2002. He is currently a Preferred Provider for Invisalign 2013, as wells as 2011 and 2012.

He obtained his Biolase Laser Dentistry certification in 2005.

He and his staff are also certified to do ZOOM Bleaching, which provides the service of same day laser teeth whitening for our patients.

I know of this Dentistry from my friend Marilyn Colombatto. I want to say that Dr. Yokochi is a great caring dentist. And his staff are very welcoming and caring as well. The office is very clean. I would recommend this Dentistry to everyone I know.

The best dentistry in all of OC in my humble opinion :)
Doctors Nguyen and Yokochi are a dynamic team, a perfect yin-​yang where one is full of enthusiasm and energy and the other a picture of calmness and patience.
My husband flatly refuses to consider the possibility of changing dentist after his first visit with Doctor Nguyen. It is the case of «love at first bite» for him… after too many bad dentist experiences in the past… and I could not agree more. Doctor Toan Nguyen represents the new generation of dentists who stays up-​to-​date with technology and professional knowledge, he certainly knows his stuff and is very personable.
I had a visit withDoctor Yokochi recently because a big chunk of my bridge was broken off. I mentally prepared for a new bridge, instead Doctor Yokochi rounded off the remaining part of the bridge and declared it is just cosmetic and I don’t need a new one. That is honesty in my book!
To be fair, I have to mention the great support team they have. The ladies are friendly and they make you feel welcome the minute you walk in the door. They are great at what they do and I always look forward to seeing Laura, my hygienist each visit

I was a former patient here and stopped coming here because of the shoddy work they kept having to do over on my front teeth. I had a veneer that kept coming off and was tired of going back here so I stopped. Had an emergency situation today and called for an appt. I was told I would get a call back to schedule one and it had been 3 hours so I stopped in to schedule it. I was then told the girl who makes the appointments was out to lunch and would call me when she got back. Never got that call, so when I called them at 3:30 and got a recording saying they were closed for the day, I left them a message as to how unprofessional they are and I guess they didn’t need anymore business. I immediately got a return call (wait I thought you were closed?) and was left a mssg that they have been busy assisting the doctors (doctors?) and to call them back to schedule an appointment. Go here if you want your mouth worked on by flakes with unprofessional business practices.

I have been visiting Dr. Yokochi for over 6 years now, in fact I would say it is closer to 10 years. I have no idea why anyone would not like going to the dentist because my only experiences here have been wonderful.
The staff is incredibly helpful, experienced and friendly.
I have had permanent retainers both applied and removed, fillings, and even some mild cosmetic dentistry done and nothing has ever been an issue! Fillings were painless and took no time at all!
I brought up the fact I would be traveling soon and they even gave me extra samples for my trip!
I highly recommend Dr. Yokochi and Beach Family Cosmetic Dentistry if you are looking for a fantastic dentist!

A friend recommended that I see Dr. Nguyen (I got annoyed with some billing issues with my previous dentist) – and I’m glad I did. It’s safe to say visiting the dentist isn’t everyone’s favorite pastime… but having a good, honest dentist makes me visit twice a year, like you’re supposed to.
The staff here is really friendly and professional!

I found this office online because I needed a basic cleaning. I haven’t had my teeth cleaned in over a year, so Laura, the hygienist went to town on my teeth. They feel brand new. I met Dr. Nguyen and got a checkup, luckily no cavities. I don’t know why people hate going to the dentist because this experience was pleasant. The dental chairs are comfortable, I almost fell asleep. Highly recommend this office if you are looking for an honest dentist.

I just had my front teeth redone by Dr. Nguyen and they came out great! I’ve always had problems with my front teeth because I wasn’t born with straight teeth. To make matters worse, I hate going to the dentist. I was referred to Dr. Nguyen by a friend and looked him up online. He turned out to be an honest and approachable guy. He didn’t try to sell me on anything. He took a lot of time to get to know me and to explain what was going on with my teeth in an easy to understand way. I eventually had all my front teeth redone. He was thorough, careful, and gentle. If you want the Nordstrom’s of dentistry at reasonable prices, this is the office for you. I have referred three of my friends as well as my family to this office. I would recommend Dr. Nguyen to anyone.

Dr. Yokochi helped me with a procedure although minor, that was giving me much more anxiety thinking that it could grow into a bigger problem. Every dentist is supposed to be board certified but few, like Dr. Yokochi, take the time to really care about the patient’s well being and set their mind at ease. After leaving, I learned a lot more of my situation and found out that there’s more that I can do to make life much easier. Thanks again Dr. Yokochi!

Office is very clean and modern. Staff and dentist have your best interest in mind and are very polite and caring. Laura Gerber is my hygienist and she is the best at what she does. She is so thorough. I have cheap Liberty HMO dental insurance through my employer that no longer allows me to see quality dentists. I tried getting a cleaning through my HMO office once and Laura has truly spoiled me for life. No cleanings seem up to par. I don’t even care that cleanings are free through my insurance, I will pay out of pocket just so I can keep her as my hygienist. I love her!

Beach Family Dentistry has probably one of the nicest and the most high tech office. It doesn’t have the medical doctor visit vibe (white walls, tacky printed chairs/​carpet, florescent light) that I have grown accustom to. The office staff is extremely friendly. The xray process is all digital, and the cleaning process is quick and painless. Once you go digital, You never want to go back. Dr. Nguyen is probably one of the most thorough dentist I have ever encountered. My friend had a lot of problems due to not having ever visit a dentist in his adult life. His front teeth were blackening at the front and he had issues with pain. The cosmetic work done to my best friend was amazing, it look extremely natural and absolutely beautiful. The other bonus is it’s probably one of the few offices that’s open on Fridays.

Everyone at Beach Family Cosmetic Dentistry was so helpful! I had to get a filling and was a new patient. The lady at the front desk made it so easy to get my insurance paper work processed. Dr, Nguyen was very friendly and got me taken care of right away. It was easy, painless, and I will go see them again for whatever I need.

I, Robert C Berman DDS recently went to Dr. Yokochi to have a crown cemented in which one of my associates had prepared for me. Due to the fact that my associate had gone on vacation I needed a good dentist to finish the procedure. I envisioned a quick 10 minute procedure. As it turned out my associate had made a mistake in the preparation which led to a fifty minute seating appointment. Dr Yokochi had endless patience in trying to seat the crown. He was as pleasant as anyone who has ever worked on me. He had a terrific and very accomplished and accommodating assistant. The office surroundings were beautiful and very modern as was the equipment. I would highly recommend Dr Yokochi to anyone looking for a fine and caring dentist. As a semi retired dentist I have had occasion to work with and be worked on by many dentists over the years and I found Dr Yokochi to be one of the best

Dr Toan Nguyen is the most professional, methodical, and thorough dentist I’ve been to. He is the dentist… for us «health providers». Recently, I had some sensitivity, with occasional «hot and cold» with my previous dental work that was 15 years old, Dr Nguyen recommended that these old silver fillings be removed and the teeth be protected with beautiful ceramic crowns. Without hesitation, I had four of my lower molars crowned painlessly. Wow! What a difference! Clearly the best investment in my health and awaiting my next visit to have him remove the old silver fillings with my upper molars with similar crowns.
The facility was warm and extremely clean and his staff was professional and understanding to my financial needs.
If you want the «best»…go see Dr Toan Nguyen… I know first hand… I am in the dental field.

The staff is friendly and caring. They do everything they can to put you at ease and provide excellent dental services. Dr. Yokochi truly cares about his patients. He explained everything he did and wanted to do. I have extreme dental fear, but was put at ease right away. When you’re there, you’re treated like family. I have and will continue to recommend this dental office to others.
