Century 20 Bella Terra

My boyfriend and I will never be going to any other theater ever again! This place is awesome. We started off our night at BJ’s where we mentioned to the server we would be going to the movies after – he informed us that we could get discounted tickets straight from BJ’s!
We headed over to the theater with our $ 8 tickets and found out that this spot sells alcohol and their whole concession stand has an awesome set up. One of the guys working – Brian I believe his name was – was super friendly and helpful. The best experience I’ve ever had at any concession stand ever. He even informed us that the theater would be getting reclining seats soon which is why I went ahead and gave this theater the fifth star.

Getting tickets by standing in line saves you a Fandango fee, but if there is only one person at the window to take care of the early starting movies, then be prepared to go slow. That was the case on Monday’s Disney screenings for Sleeping Beauty. The popcorn line was only open on one side, so again there was a line to get popcorn and then a line to pay for it. The separated theatre rooms are perfectly spaced and insulated to abate any spillover audio from next door. Great seating can be found on very soft and relaxing seats. No worries during the trailers and timely announcements to turn off the cell phone. This review would not be finished without checking the restroom. Thank goodness it was just cleaned and resupplied. As a result, we are happy movie goers today.

I don’t particularly enjoy assigned seating. The first come first serve is easier. If you don’t know the template of the theatre and pick bad seats, you’re screwed. Pick better seats? Well, people will kick you out of those bc that’s their seat, and they are rude and privileged about it.

My BF and I always have our movie dates here, to my surprise I haven’t reviewed yet but we came this past weekend to watch Hail Caesar which was a terrible movie by the way lol. It was a painful 2 hrs of my life anyway back to review…
This place is quick to buy tickets, I love their automated ticket machine and I was so delightfully happy they serve gelato here along with all sorts of things like alcoholic beverages. I’m sure it’s in competition with those fancy reclined chair dining and being waited in theaters but for a normal one it hits the spot. Haven’t had any bad service yet knock on wood! Each individual theater is like any other movies, standard chairs and cup holders.
Another perk is that it’s in Bella Terra where we can grab food or drinks right before a movie. We always find parking in our usual area and we take a nice little evening stroll to get there. I’d recommend this theater for your date night essentials!

No disgusting chemical sprays to try to disguise lack of cleaning which seems to be a trend in so many theaters.

I’ve been going here for years and it’s a great place to go for dates or get together with family or friends. It’s a nice shopping outlet also. The movie theaters is quite pricey except on Tuesday when they have their 5.50 deal all day. Overall, it’s alright.

I like that they have assign seat options now but the seats appear to be the same old theater seats. No recline option. First showing is always the most economical option for any theater but this one has a great discount option.
Location is good for dinner options and theater is large enough to accommodate many showings. There is also a small arcade.

Wayyyy overpriced for tickets (even for discount days — $ 5.50 on Tuesdays) (and popcorn). I’m used to going to the Regal Cinemas in Alhambra back in the day where that theatre also has $ 5 discount days on Tuesdays and $ 2.00 popcorn ($ 3.00 for an upgrade to medium-​size), but now that my parents had moved their office close to Bella Terra, this was the «closest» to my house (Yes, I can go to the Regal in Garden Grove for $ 5.00 Sundays). One small popcorn for $ 4.50 and one [medium] soda for $ 4.85??? No, just no. I’ll just take a (bottled) water, with my popcorn (Yes, I’ll pay the $ 4.50).
Earlier today, when I went to go see «Daddy’s Home» (funny movie, by the way) I told the lady at the concession stand that I had a coupon for a free [small] popcorn with a medium drink, and she took out a MEDIUM-​sized bag, when I told her a SMALL. «Oh, I’m sorry; I didn’t hear you clearly.» Yeah, you probably didn’t, because I dictated to you a SMALL, not a medium!
The interior is pretty much the same as the Regal in both Alhambra and Garden Grove where they have the name of the movie in LED lighting at the auditorium number it is playing, so one star for that.
Took one star off for the overpriced food at the concession stand (and movie tickets) another with my experience with the concession stand worker. For the price, I’m going back to Regal in GG on Sundays (whenever I have time) or next time I go to this Cinemark on Tuesday, I’ll just get a bottled water instead of a soda.

Love the cinema but it works as «first come first serve» so it was an unlucky day. My friends and I bought tickets, we came in and there were no more available seats. Even other movies, too! We were like «Whatttt» cuz we paid the money and we got nothing at all…
Bad sunday :(Hope you guys can fix it since every single room was full of people. So what’s the meaning of buying tickets at all?

Star wars mania, the next generation.
Watched it in 3-​d, which was fun.
The only snafu is the way the snacks concession is set up. Christmas Day is probably the busiest movie day since everything else (except the big amusement parks) is closed. Families come out to see things like this, people. Those poor movie worker kids looked so deer in the headlights just keeping up with the throng.

I love this Bella Terra theater
The seats are cushioned w a soft velour fabric and every theater has stadium seating.
There was no line, no stampede as reported! We got to choose our seats!

DONT CHOOSE XD theater, it cost $ 5 more for nothing, I can’t see any difference, the 3d theaters are good enough, no need to pay $ 5 more!

Location: Century 20 is located in the Bella Terra shopping center in Huntington Beach. There is a multi-​level parking structure directly adjacent to it and we have never had a problem finding parking. Obviously when its busier you may have to go to higher levels, but we’ve always found a spot. There are also multiple restaurants in the complex within walking distance which makes it a great «dinner and a movie» date night spot. Oh, and it definitely helps that its right off the 405. Easy to spot for sure.
Service: We’ve been to this theater several times and its fast becoming our «go to» movie theater. First off, hit up the costco next store to buy discount tickets that are good ALL THE TIME. I believe its $ 16 for a pair. Of course you have to pay the upcharge fees for 3D and XD though. Special showings like popular first releases and 3D/​XD shows usually have reserved seating which is great. You don’t have to wait in line to get those prime seats if you buy ahead of time! They also have several theaters which gives you some options too if the movie you want to see has sold out, etc. Everyone has been relatively pleasant at every encounter as well which is somewhat rare in a movie theater. The concession area is well stocked — its almost like a cafeteria style concessions stand. You go through the «line» and pick up your popcorn, candy, STARBUCKS COFFEE (yup), or gelato. Seats in the theaters are comfy and best of all, the crowds that usually attend movies at this place are pretty respectful. I am one of those people who DESPISE people who come to movies and talk through them or pull out their phones DURING THE MOVIE. Totally ruins the experience. Only tiny complaint is the sound system in the regular theaters — I could tell there was something off with the sound, and when I can tell, its pretty bad. It didn’t ruin the movie by any means, but I could tell. We haven’t been to see an XD movie there yet, but I would bet that the sound is much better in that theater too.
Overall: We will still keep coming as long as Costco keeps stocking those discount tickets! Good theater, good concessions, good experience. Gotta love the starbucks coffee in the theater!

I always enjoy coming to this Theater.
It has a very impressive Modern looking Lobby and is kept super clean.
When you enter you will be smelling the yummy Popcorn.
They are also selling gelato now.
My wife and I usually are coming here on Monday’s to take Advantage of the Senior rate Tickets for $ 7.50!
Saw the movie MARTIAN today and really enjoyed it!
Will give the theater and the movie 4 Stars!
Wow just discovered the awesome Arcade!

The lobby of this theater was pretty impressive. There’s lots of stuff you can buy, like kettle corn and gelato. Overall, very clean & organized.
XD theater:
— Seating: I have an issue with what feels like leather seats in the large, XD theater. The tickets cost more & these chairs are in no way, shape, or form plush or really movable. The’[re capable of reclining a whole inch or two at most, and are really stiff and uncomfortable. It cost somewhere in the ballpark of $ 15 for a seat, which is even more than Arclight. I’m reading the reviews and it looks like those chairs are new, but seriously, they’re really uncomfortable.
— Screen is wide, a normal XD type screen. It’s what you pay extra for.
— Sound is surround, a normal XD type sound. It’s what you pay extra for.

I feel like I just walked into a theater housing a mini mart! This is a new concept that I’m digging: a serve yourself concession stand! They carry the standard overpriced fare with popcorn and drinks, hotdogs and nachos. But what sets it apart is the works nachos, kettle corn and also the gelato area, wait what?! Yes ice cream and Starbucks too, and self serve candy bins yeah! A lot more options than the standard theaters for sure but agree all around the service here was friendly and informative but a little on the slow side. Theaters were clean and seating comfy. The parking easy and conveniently close to the theaters. Be warned that Googling the movie times are chronically inaccurate. Having said all that I realize that iPic Theaters have ruined me for all others for life but then again I don’t always want to spend $ 30 for a movie!

The theatres themselves are very nice. I also really liked the open concessions stand. It felt more like a mini-​mart than a movie theatre concessions stand. (and they have gelato inside! Score!)
My only complaint is that in theatres with crowded films, they might not be doing the best they can with cleaning. I’ve seen leftover trash on the floor, popcorn, etc. when I was the first person in the theatre. That shouldn’t happen. I also wish they did theatre checks more often as I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in a film where there were either loud people or babies fussing (and I’m talking in R rated films, not children movies).
But for the most part, this is a great theatre and one I would recommend.

I haven’t been to this movie theater in ages! I don’t remember walking very far to and from your car after the movies but I wasn’t feeling the walk :/​Luckily the parking structure had a good amount of handicap spots. My mom took me to see Inside Out and when I walked in the movie theatre it was huge! We got there early enough to wait in line until it was our turn to go into the theater. I had good seats (it pays to get their early)
I really enjoyed myself at this theater, its very clean and spacious, I just wish the parking situation was different, but I’d still come back here! ^_​_​^

Being that I don’t live that far from Bella Terra it is generally my first choice. The theater itself is nice. The theater has stadium seating, you can serve yourself at the concession stand for the most part and I like how you can move the armrests. Also they recently got a permit to sell alcohol which is a plus, lol.
I came here with my rommie on Wednesday night to see Magic Mike XXL. I approached the ticket booth and a girl by the name of Naomi was working I won’t forget her name because she is by far one of the rudest workers I’ve ever encountered. She doesn’t smile and when I asked her a question I got a very cold response. I really don’t understand why she works with the public when she clearly hates it. Naomi clearly hates her job and people.
I must say when I got inside the theater Analeise saved this place from a 1 star review! She was friendly and personable she seemed to really enjoy her job. I’m sure she can teach Naomi a few things about customer service.

I came here tonight since economy Sunday ($ 5 movies at regal/​regency) was extremely packed. I wanted to watch San Andreas (premiered Thursday) and I’m thankful I came here which was not that far away from regency (located in Westminster)
PRICE– Student ticket $ 10.75 with ID
Snacks– they have variety of snacks, ice cream, coffee, but most importantly what this place is known for is their KETTLE POPCORN. Definitely get large for FREE refill! $ 7.50-$ 7.75.
RESTROOM– plenty of stalls!
SEATS– cup/​arm holder can be adjusted to move up! For all you cuddlers at the movies ;) FYI
ATMOSPHERE– clean, spacious. Relaxing.
