Classic Industries

This place had gone down hill. I have been ordering from them for 30+ years and something has changed. Over the weekend, I ordered some parts via their website. I used a personal credit card that has my accountants address as the billing address as she pays the bill each month. I got a call from a rather rude lady at Classic Industries saying that they wouldn’t ship to me as the shipping and billing address need to be the same. I have never heard of this… ever. I order hundreds of things online and this has never been an issue. Mind you… the card went through no problem… by the way! She told me that it was for «new» customers. I replied that I was not a «new» customer. She said that the credit card number was not showing as a «old» customer. Well, yeah. People get new credit cards. I told her that I was pretty upset at this and she basically hung up on me mid sentence. This is the 3^rd Gen 1 Camaro I have restored with parts from Classic Industries and they basically told me that they don’t want my biz. No problem.
here I come!

Ordered a part which was labeled as fitting on our 1970 Cuda only to find out it does not. Not only this, but they will not refund my money because it was installed. Will never do business with this place again.

My husband and I own Pacifical Import and are often making long lists of purchases at Classic Industries. They nearly always have the items we need in stock. I ask specifically to be helped by Sarah who always takes the extra step to make sure I am happy and get the exact part i need. She makes sure it is a comfortable experience from start to finish. Classics prices can be slighty higher on some items compared to other shops or online, although the convenience of their highly stocked inventory usually makes up for it.

Had a pretty fantastic experience here. Came in to get some parts for a project I am working on and the showroom was incredible! Francisco was there to help us out and he did an amazing job. He was patient as I figured out exactly what I wanted to do and was so honest, he let me know that certain parts that I was planning or purchasing I didn’t need for what I was doing. He answered our relentless barrage of questions and even asked us questions to ensure that he was giving us the best possible service.
One note, if you would like to be helped right away, seek the help out quickly at the desk because they are pretty consistently busy and they don’t have the personnel to send runners around the showroom to see if you need help.

See, I’m torn because I love this place for getting my Firebird the parts it needs but I’m unable to leave a review on their website for this item. It just won’t let me leave a review for an item I purchased. The item in question are these seat belts:
These are horrible seat belts. Do not purchase them. I’m going to be trying the next grade up, the SBFR1000s.
I’ve spoken to a couple of Classic Industry people about these. They don’t ever lock. Instead, they ratchet and lock as they tighten so you can’t pull them out. One day after getting these installed, I was driving down the 15 in rush hour traffic and the belt began to choke me and not let go. Had to fight over a couple of lanes and a cop helped me get loose. Bruised to hell and gone along my throat from the belt.
I was told I’d be able to get these exchanged but haven’t heard anything. Left another message on their board in hopes someone gets a hold of me.
I’ll update this review as the seat belt saga unfolds. Hopefully the other batch will be better.

I absolutely love this place they go out of their way to make sure you’re happy and give you good pricing Joey who I worked with today over the phone called me back made sure all part numbers were correct also made sure I got my discount if you’re looking for classic Chevy parts this is definitely the place to go
Update: went in yesterday and dealt with John Gutierrez (awesome dude) he went above and beyond the call of duty I have been waiting for my motor and trans for about two weeks I’ve gotten no word from manufacture went in and told John and he was able to locate my transmission but let me will call it instead of shipping it would save me money also was able to locate my motor with no trouble at all the whole time didn’t seem dissatisfied with me asking so many questions and for so much help this place rocks
Went in again and felt with Sara and John took back same item 3 times and not once did they give me a hard time always had a smile on their face always glad to see me. It’s very refreshing to do business with that establishment like this I have been building cars my whole life and feel like this is one of the best relationships I’ve had with a retail business especially a niche market type retailer I recommend this place 150%

I was very disappointed when I came here. We were in town on vacation and I wanted to pick up a new grill for my 69 camaro. We didn’t have a ton of time and this place wasn’t busy maybe 4 other people shopping. I ordered my grill and it took about 25 min for them to get it and when I opened it, it was badly scratch so the repackaged it and brought me another one that looked like it had already been opened and that one was scratched. So the carefully packed that one back up to put on the shelf. I ended up seeing 3 grills all looked very bad. So I left.

Amazing service! I’ve ordered parts from classic online in the past but as I was in the neighborhood I Popped in here today for some random parts and to see the brick and mortar.
Jason– the sales rep that helped me, was super knowledgable and was able to help me find exactly what I was looking for and at the best price. Definitely will be back!

My son and I purchased a chrome nut for the antenna mast for a 1970 Road runner. Not wanting to damage the part we also purchased a tool to put it on. When we got around to installing the antenna the nut didn’t fit correctly. It was too tight. When we returned the parts they accepted the nut for a return but would not refund the money for the tool. I thought this was a very poor policy as if I had damaged the nut trying to make it fit they also would not have refunded the nut. I guess the customer loses either way. I have had good experiences here but not this time

Just started buying parts here for my 1968 Firebird. John has helped me both times and has provided great customer service. He also gave me some great advice when I asked him some general questions. I will be back… Thanks John!!!

Great service. Extremely helpful in answering all our questions. We were able to get everything we needed to convert our front drum brakes to disc brakes.

The bottom line is that the customer service needs a lot to be desired! They are rude the service people act like they don’t want to be there or don’t want to help you.
Been there a few times because I needed something immediately that other places like the TruckShop would have to special order but service was disappointing each time!
HEY MANAGEMENT? can you have a little chat with all the guys at the register (not) helping people? You don’t look any cooler by being standoffish and rude or condescending to people spending their spending money at your shop. You have lost some thousands of our money because I prefer to deal with people that are at least polite and act like they want your business

Its evident that customer service is not a priority here. Been here several times and have not had great experience. I say get rid the children and bring in some old timers that have the knowledge and persona to drive better customer service results. Also, please change your return policy. Most aftermarket parts to do not fit and customers should not have to get dinged for it. My second suggestion, work with your vendors and put pressure on them to design better fitting parts.

** Original REVIEW: I shopped here (Order 11 568 829), until I received little to no help today with an issue regarding a promo code sent to me by what I, now, know to be the ‘marketing department’ of
. I spoke with a representative of the sales department online and a customer service representative called me from the corporate office after I requested my order be canceled. The only answer I was given by both — «That is handled by our marketing department.» When I worked in an office setting, we knew how to contact the other departments within our company. However, Classic Industries must not allow communicate between there differing departments. I say this because neither of the Classic Industries employees I spoke with offered to contact their ‘marketing department.’ I told the corporate representative to just cancel my order. I will shop somewhere I am appreciated. Shop here or not, but do not count on any Classic Industries employees going out of their ‘department’ even if it means getting answers for their customers.

This place drives me crazy. You better have a few hours free if you are going in there. We have gone out there multiple times for parts (it’s an hour drive for us) and they are so incredibly slow. I understand they deal with large and small parts but there is no way you should be sitting around for 45 mins for them to get a part for you.
Every time we go there we have a problem. They only have one or two of the parts in stock (ok fine… i understand that…) so we order them… they said they would call us when they were in… never once have we gotten a call. We follow up and call them and get «yeah, it should be here… come on down» Should??? I guarantee that means it’s probably not.
I Don’t think we will go there again.

Classic Industries Is located on the corner of Ellis and Gothard.
They are best known for have everything in stock. They have a brand called OER which stand for Original Equipment Reproduction.
Here are some good tips if you order from Classic. If your a local customer call ahead and speak with someone in sales. Make sure you have all the part numbers to eliminate errors. Classic doesn’t have a parts look up they use the catalog just as we would to find the products we are asking for. Tell the salesmen that you want to do a will call pick up. Make sure you write down the invoice number they give you because that would be your will call number. Now when you walk through the doors your will notice a pretty clean showroom with a Car on display. They have TV’s and Products all over the walls. When you walk up to the counter take a number and someone will be right with you. Once you get called give them your will call number and if you need to make any changes to your order now would be the time to tell them. Also when the parts come up the sales guys seem like they are in a hurry, tell them you want to check your parts before they bill you out.
Classic does a lot of discounts around the Holidays so if you go to the website and sign up for the e-​blast you will get those discounts.

I was in there one time and showroom manager went above and beyond to make sure I have exactly what i need.
My overall review this place is huge parts supplier and they always have everything in stock. The salesmen in the showroom and in their call center are very good. I have never had a problem with them so far. Way to go Classic! I love you!
