Doll Face Desserts

I came across Doll Face Desserts today at the Head to Toe Women’s Expo at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego. I was actually surprised there weren’t more bakery vendors, but I guess that means more business for Doll Face! Although they had a booth at this event, they don’t have a physical bakery shop and instead, do all their business online.
I thought it was the most adorable thing that Doll Face is the brainchild of a husband and wife team. All together everyone: «a family that bakes together, stays together!» :)
Now for the goods.
At first glance, I thought all they sold were cookies. Ok. no big whoop. Then I saw what looked like thick cookies resembling a large and much flatter Reese’s peanut butter cup with an actual Reese’s piece in the middle. Again, no big whoop. that is, until something off their menu caught my eye, the «mud puddles.» What I initially thought was just a regular cookie with a chocolate candy in the middle was actually a cream cheese brownie, with a chocolate ganache center, that came in different flavors: peanut butter (I knew it!), chocolate, and raspberry chocolate. I went for the raspberry chocolate ($ 3.50), which was slightly larger than the size of my palm, and it was soooo moist and decadent. it seriously just melted in my mouth. But if you’re not big on sweets, I wouldn’t recommend it kuz it was REALLY sweet. One bite in and I immediately imagined the lecture my dentist would give me at my next appointment. O_​o
