²⁄₁₆: Update, Laura is Salon Dharma, I will follow her again!

After much research into hair salons I finally decided on Aveda and Laura as my stylist. She is fabulous and really listened to what I wanted and all of my concerns. I wound up with an incredible hair cut and color. I just found out she’s no longer there. Does anybody know where she went? Thanks!

So I have been growing my hair out for a few years now, I haven’t actually had a real «haircut» in a long time. I was feeling like I needed a change and wanted to add some layers in my hair. So I went to a salon (not going to mention who) and the woman there did not know how to add layers in my long «thick» hair. She parted my hair down the middle (when I came in with it parted on the side) and just started hacking chunks out of my hair. Long story short I only had layers only on the right side of my head, it was devastating.
So I was looking through Unilocal and my goal was to find someone who was basically a hair magician, someone who deals with thick hair often and who knows layers.
Laura was the BEST!
She was super sweet and really understood what I wanted. She fixed my hair and now I have even layers throughout my hair and I LOVE THEM!

Anyone who says a diamond is a girl’s best friend has it all wrong… Crystal is a girl’s best friend! Crystal has been doing my female family and friend’s hair for years now, and she is now fixing up the hottest styles the all natural Aveda way. This review is long overdue. Crystal does an amazing job on my hair. So professional and talented. She gave me such comfort in cutting my hair short. Now I have a cute, sassy lob :). She also gives me the perfect shade of blonde (which I can be pretty picky with). I drive from corona to have to do my hair. Thank you Crystal for making my hair feel and look great! You’re amazing!

Donna did an excellent job on my color and cut… I love the highlights and am very happy with everything. She is awesome and I would definitely recommend her as well as the overall salon experience. :))))

I have known Wendi Ocha for more than five years. In that time she has been by hair stylist for both myself and my children.
Wendi faces many challenges when she does my hair, since it is thick, frizz-​prone and I am now battling the dreaded sparklies (aka grey hairs). Oh and did I mention that I like to change my style quarterly? For my daughter, she has the opposite — baby fine, blonde hair, and someone who never changes her style. She tackles all of these hair differences with gusto. Whether it is coloring, highlighting, washing and blowing out my hair (no matter the length) and then going to another client, she is hard-​working, conscientious, courteous, and knowledgeable about what is going on the beauty scene.
She is invaluable with her client relationships. She talks with clients and is not afraid to let them know when a style will work (or not work) with their hair, face and lifestyle. But most of all she is honest — it is hard to speak truth to power (the client) which for a stylist needs to be done and is not often done during consultations. I have gone to too many stylists that let me get whatever hair style I wanted (perms, cuts, color etc.) and they should have told me up front that the picture I brought in was NEVER going to work on me. It is refreshing to have someone who is honest and leads me to nirvana for my hair.

I came in to get a cut that was long overdue and Brittany saved me! My last cut was great and I wanted to get that shape back but I’ve always been wry of finding a new stylist so moving here from GA had me in a panic in the hair department. Brittany was incredible! We discussed what I was going for and she got down to business, neck massage and champagne included! When all was said and done I got the layers I’d been pining over like Kate Beckinsale status. My hair looks fuller and frames my face perfectly and the length that I love is still there. I’ll definitely be coming back, thanks Brittany!

If you’re new to the a area or just looking for a good salon check this place out. Book with Whitney she is amazing! She cares just as much as you do that you leave happy and looking fantastic! She cut about 14 inches off my hair and gave me the perfect caramel highlights. Major hair makeover and I have never been so happy with my hair. She explains everything and takes the time after to show you how to style it so it looks just as good later. Nothing worse than getting a good style that you can’t recreate at home. Prices are very reasonable and they are often running specials. It’s an Aveda salon so they will also make sure you have healthy hair! Overall wonderful experience!

I had Whitney as my stylist for prom hair and makeup and she did an amazing job. At the time my hair was ombré purple and she did long curls with a braid, absolutely gorgeous. For my make up she used various purples and did exactly what I wanted! I have also gotten a trim with long layers and it was just perfect with a styled blow out after! Love her and the salon!

This salon is a hidden gem. I’ve been here twice — the first time I came in was based off the Unilocal reviews. I got Brittany and she gave me the perfect natural looking blonde I am always after, that NO one else can seem to master. (I’m naturally a dark blonde) I’ve been back to see her twice now!
Ask for Brittany for your all of your cut & color needs. She is awesome. 10 years experience and it shows. She’s also worked with Aveda for many years and knows everything about their products, and gives an incredible head massage with your shampoo. I’m in love!

Marissa Alavrez is the best! She does my red and pink color and a great cut. I always want to try new colors and techniques and she makes it happen. See my pics!

Yesterday was a day to remember for the rest of my life. I had an appointment with Brittany and I didn’t know what I was in for. I was having a really rough day and some extra love was exactly what I needed. I didn’t even know what haircut I wanted– my hair is thinning and I’m scared to do to much with it. Brittney seriously read my mind and gave me something I didn’t know I even wanted… or needed. She was so easy to open up to and we had some really deep (and a little shallow) conversation, lol! I damn near cried when she brought me champagne and trashy magazines.
I will never feel right as a person if I ever let anyone one else touch my hair. Britney was a dream and I HIGHLY RECCOMEND HER!!!

Brittany is magic! I just had my first experience at the salon and was shocked at how superior the service was. Brittany listened to what my ideas for my hair were, and we figured out a plan to grow my hair out and do some highlights.
I loved the way the Aveda color made my hair feel. She gave me a neck and shoulder rub which was so rest I could have been done after that. I loved sipping the Aveda tea and reading all the good magazines they have. There was a really great vibe in the salon, no snooty scary stylists, just cool girls that were all nice to me.
The best part was Brittany’s shampoo. It was from another world. My hair looked healthy, shiny, and long when she was done. And the best part was that j didn’t have to go home and restyle it, she blow dried it perfectly. I’ll be back in six weeks for a manicure and a color touch up. Cheers!

Laura is the best hair stylist I have ever been to. Having gone to beauty school myself, I never had a regular stylist and got tired of jumping around from friend to friend, until their prices were too much for my pocket book.
Laura is so friendly and talented. I’ve gone from long to short hair several times and never been disappointed. Not only is she über talented, one of the things I absolutely love about her is her knowledge and honesty. If something won’t look good on me, she will tell me and not just because she doesn’t like it because it doesn’t go with the frame of my face, the texture of my hair, color of my skin, etc. She takes pride in her work and won’t let her clients leave looking like asshats.
If you are looking an amazing stylist and colorist, look no further than Laura! She’s a bit of a perfectionist, which I love.
It’s never been difficult to get in for an appointment, and the receptionist is always friendly.

They do a great job here. Monday through Friday ManiPedi special $ 20. Can’t beat that! Nice and clean
