Frogs Express Wash

I’ve been coming here for a number of years, and usually everything is fine. I recently learned that there’s an attendant? I’ve probably been 40 times, never saw anyone working there. Not a big deal because it’s all pretty self-​sufficient, until tonight when I needed an attendant and couldn’t find one.
Like any self service car wash, there were the occasional problems. Sometimes the towel/​quarters machine was broke, sometimes the vacuum I chose was broken. The air-​freshener machine has been broken since the beginning of time. All minor inconveniences, but you have to accept that kind of crap, as it’s bound to happen.
What happened tonight really pissed me off. I pull up at about 9:40. Of the two automatic washes, one is in use. The other is dark, and the payment machine is dark too. I assume that it’s out of service, and pull in the other one, behind that car that’s getting washed. Everything is working fine, so I put in my $ 8 for the mid-​level wash (yeah, I’m a baller on a budget, what of it?). So I’m waiting for the car in front of me to be done, evidently he selected the 2-​hour wash (it was like 5 minutes, but when you’re in line it feels like a lifetime). Anyways by the time he’s done, I pull through, and the lights go off. Machine is done.
What the shit? First I was pissed that I wasted my time, and then I was pissed that I lost money. Also, I checked my watch and it was only 9:50. Not sure why it shuts down 10 minutes early, but you think it would have a system in place where, if it knew it was closing in 5 minutes, and someone just bought a 5 minute wash, the machine wouldn’t accept any more money. Seems obvious, but here we are.
I went looking for the ghost attendant, but I couldn’t find anyone. I’m still not convinced anyone works there.

This place is clean and well maintained.
There was an attendant around sweeping up, I suppose he would help out if there are any problems. I highly recommend this do it yourself car wash, which is really the best way to wash your car.

I chose the $ 8 wash over the $ 6 wash. It’s quick and cheap. But certainly does not get the job done. My car came out still dirty. There’s no point in going here.

Attendant there didn’t know anything other than how to take the trash out and wash the floor. Or just hates his job, who knows.
I arrive, first timer, not knowing how this place works. I walk up to the attendant asking him if this Lane is still open? He says no. I ask him, how about the other one when that guy is done. He ignores me and continue to wash the floor.
I walk around and understand that it’s two lanes of automatic wash and a few others for manual timed washes. I try out the timed wash. I’m very impressed for about $ 5 I am able to prewash, soap and rinse my car and tires. Am back on track in making a positive review.
Pull my car up and attempt to buy a towel from one of their old coin machine. It ate my money as I hear the coins drop down but no product. I ask the attendant for help, he explains he only takes out trash and doesn’t know about that stuff. I’m forced to now buy one of their microfiber cloths in their newer machines, luckily that worked.
Management, if you want to improve, improve your training with your attendant. That or hire someone more motivated to do more than take out trash. I know it’s a miserable minimum wage job, but at least do the job you’re paid to do, or find something else you can do.

Fast and convenient car wash that my wife and I use on a regular basis. The automatic car wash does a good job cleaning our vehicles.

Got the $ 10 super car wash and still have bird poop on the car. Really for 10 bucks should have cleaned it. I will try to upload a picture

The drive thru machine is awesome and they work very well! Also the staff are very cool and they help you any way possible! Would definitely recommend this place!

Fast and convenient, but this wash cleaned almost nothing off the back of my car. It did a bit better on the front of the car, but none of it met my expectations for the $ 10 wash.
At the end of the wash, I threw another $ 2 away on a microfiber towel to finish what the wash couldn’t, which involved wiping down about 90% of the car just to get the dirt, dust, and water spots off.
I don’t think I will be back, which is too bad because it’s right around the corner from my house.

Great express car wash. Yes at times it is busy, but that’s because it does a good job for a hands free wash. I always purchase the superwash and I’m pleased each time.

I love it because it’s so express. But the fact that it’s packed within a drive in line after 9pm, shows how great they are, but also is irritating as a consumer. Nonetheless, I like it here. It’s fast, after the darn wait!

After my frustrating experience with the pay machine not taking my card and no one answering the phone, they called me after I left a message. Although, I never got someone one the phone live, we did go back and forth a few times leaving messages and I felt comforted that they did seem to care. They didn’t seem to know about the problem (I wish more people would report issues! This has been one for awhile and they didn’t even know). Anyway, I felt like they were definitely going to check it out and didn’t just brush it off. They even offered to mail me a coupon or two for the inconvenience. I’m so glad because it’s a convenient location with convenient services. The best part is that they actually care about the satisfaction of their customers.

I’ve tried this place a few times and it’s been ok. Tonight though, I don’t know what happened. The top and trunk look like it wasn’t even touched, it’s still covered in dust I can wipe away with a finger, the armor all wipes were out or something do I wasted another buck on that. I always have gotten the superfrog 10 buck wash and it’s never really totally gotten it clean, but tonight was the deal breaker. One lost and upset customer.

I am a fan of any car wash that does a quality job and keeps smelly, dirty, and wet car wash boys out of my car with their dirty rags smearing the dirt all over the inside and spraying stuff that will harm the respiratory tract.
Frogs won’t take off the little spots of bird poop on the hood, but neither does the cloth spinning scratching paint wash places. You need to just take a blue shop towel like I do, and wet it and poop comes off with little effort. Go to Home Depot or Walmart and buy a couple of rolls of Blue Shop towels, keep them in the car and you are set for a year.
A bit pricey here – would like to see $ 5 for the basic wash – that is what I am accustomed to paying for a similar wash in Los Angeles. And free 5 minutes of vacuum power. That is what I am used to.
So I won’t be a regular here – but if in the area – it’s not a bad choice if you love your 4 wheel baby.

I went here real quick and got the Superfrog $ 10 car wash and it barely cleaned my car. And it turns out it peeled some paint off of my 2014 Jetta that I’m trying to sell! So now that’s another issue I have to worry about because of this car wash I chose, and probably the manufacturer is responsible too. I never write angry reviews, but I just paid money for my car to get messed up and not even get cleaned well in the process. And I’m sure I’ll have to pay more money to get it fixed. Luckily a guy that worked there returned my call and said he would send me a refund. That’s the only reason it’s now two stars instead of one.

Great for a car wash in the automatic mode.
Only 2 problems.
1. When paying for the higher washing the undercarriage wash comes on way too late.
2. After the full dry the car wash still drips on your car as you leave it so the car still is wet with spots.
On the upside it does a great job of washing your car.

Frog’s makes washing my car fun! I drive through the touch free automatic bays, and I get the $ 10 wash (super frogger) It gets my car sooo clean, better than when I take it somewhere to have the guys do it. I like the little vending machines they have stocked with armor all, towels, air fresheners, etc. there is always a little bit of a wait, but the lines moves quickly and is well worth it. Vacuums are $ 1 for 4 mins. They take cash or CC… how awesome is that?

Car Wash Spot — Located behind the gas station on the corner next to Slater ⁵⁰⁄₅₀.
The easiest way to get into this car wash is from Adams Ave. When you reach Beach Blvd do a U-​turn and make a right into Slater ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ parking lot. Drive down and the right and BAM your at Frog Wash.
This car wash does automatic or manual washing. The prices are fair for the Automatic. I think the cheapest you can get a car wash for is $ 6 bucks. I only do the manual washing because my truck is taller then 7′ and won’t clear in the auto wash.
I usually can wash my Chevy 2500HD lifted truck for $ 4.50. It cost $ 2.50 and give you 4 minutes which is pretty good.
Here’s a Tip — Turn the dial to High Pressure soap before you put your money in the machine. Make sure it’s not on High Pressure rinse. Now blast your car or truck down with the soap. I like to hold the hose pretty close to the body to get off all the like bee poop, bugs and what not. I like to take a sponge with me while is use the soap and kinda do the wax on wax off around the body. Once all that’s done run over to the dial and turn it to High Pressure rinse. Keep in mind you have to do all the washing pretty quick. Now hose her down by this time your probably need to put in another buck which is fine because you have only spent $ 3.50. Be quick run around your car or truck wash off all the soap and then run back over to the dial and switch it to Spot Free Rinse. Now go over all the body with this rinse and your done!
This wash just cost you half as much as the Auto wash and you got a little workout as well.
They have a vacuuming area on the back of the wash areas and to use the vacuums it costs $ 1.00 for 4 minutes.
I love this car wash. Cheapest around town. Total of $ 4.50 can’t go wrong there.

Whenever I’m lazy but my baby needs a wash, I take my car to Frogs for the touch-​free wash. It is just soo convenient to drive through and get your car washed by a machine. Gotta love whoever invented this idea!
Frogs Express has both the traditional self-​wash bays and the touch-​free wash drive throughs. However, I’m lazy so I’ve never used the self-​wash bays LOL why do the work when you can pay a couple of dollars more and just stay in the comfort of your car and let machines do everything for you…
The touch-​free washes start at $ 6 and go on to $ 8 and then $ 10, depending on what extra services you want like double wash, tires, or whatever. I usually spring for the $ 10 option. Can’t go cheap on my baby ya know! The machine accepts credit cards. It’s not the best wash and won’t get every single thing off a super dirty car but what do you expect for a drive through wash? I’ve never had a problem but I guess it depends on how much dirt you have stuck on your car. My car usually looks really nice when it comes out. My only complaint is that the dryers are pretty weak, so you should bring a towel with you and park and wipe off your car after the wash.

Love coming here to get the $ 10 touch-​free wash. It doesn’t get every single thing off of a dirty car, but that’s why it’s an express wash for $ 10. It does your rims, which is nice! And the hot wax. It dries your car almost completely.
I come here when I don’t have any time to wash my truck, but it needs it. Then when I get time, I’ll just go over it again, and there’s less work for me since the express wash got most of it off! :)
Definitely the best touch-​free wash place my truck has seen.

This is by far the best $ 10 car wash I have ever gotten. No need to worry about grimy brushes whacking the side of your car and scuffing up your paint. This thing uses high pressure sprayers and does one hell of a job. They even have little spinning brushes that gently clean your wheels. No need to tip afterwards because there are no humans involved. In terms of bang for your buck, this wash is light years ahead of drive through and cheap hand car washes.
The only con I could see is if you had dirt caked on that the water jets may not get it all off. I didn’t have this problem and my car was pretty dirty beforehand, but this could be a potential issue depending on the amount of crud on your car.
