Golden Eye Threading

My go to girl has been out of town for a couple of months so i decided to give her a try… when I say «please go lightly, I have very sensitive skin,» that means GO LIGHTLY. Slightly painful. I’ve got a good threshold. It’s not a good sign when you break the thread multiple times either. Which she did. Aaaand I noticed some stragglers in my upper lip. And I’ve got some scratch/​scars from the brow job. On the plus side, she did give my brows a good clean up without taking off too much… nice shape, sweet lady, just nothing in comparison to my go-​to girl. I’ll consider coming back if I absolutely HAD to.

I was definitely disappointed going here. I was looking for a new eyebrow threading place in HB and relied on Unilocal for help. I have been struggling with eczema for a while and I was having a breakout on my face, so I was self conscious already but wanted to get my eyebrows trimmed. When I came in, I felt a little embarrassed but asked for threading. While laying there I guess my skin started peeling from the threading because it was dry and the person threading started to say, «Oh no nasty» and she kept repeating the word nasty while trying to thread my eyebrows. I was really embarrassed and ashamed of my eczema and the way I felt they treated me with those remarks were not kind and unprofessional. I couldn’t believe they said those rude comments. If anything, they could’ve just stopped threading and recommended me to come back since they noticed the peeling. Never going here again.

Was getting tea next door and saw this place. My eyebrows were in serious need of good grooming. They did an amazing job for an amazing price. Kept it natural as I requested while enhancing the shape. Love it! She was also very sweet and attentive to my comfort level. Highly recommend!

I had this girl named Tina and she was the nicest lady ever! She asked me how I was and if she was causing me any discomfort or pain. Throughout, she doubled check with about my shape, instead of just doing it. After threading, she massaged my eyebrows with aloe vera. Love it!

This review is not about the threading work. Tina’s threading is great! I have been her customer for about a year, seeing her every two weeks, but not anymore. I really, really didn’t want to write this review, but I am honestly upset about the overall customer service I have received. At first, all was well. Then slowly, it wasn’t. I am the kind of person that tips… when they have the money for it. I also believe that when a person tips, it’s because they want to show their appreciation. It seemed like with Tina, she was never satisfied. Whenever I had extra money, I would add a couple bucks to my bill. When I didn’t, well I didn’t. She knows it has nothing to do with her or her service, otherwise I wouldn’t have kept coming back. Her attitude would change when it would come to me paying. If I didn’t add a tip, her voice would get low and she wouldn’t look in my face or even act the way she normally does. It would make me feel like it was all an act because when I didn’t have the extra bucks, it would all fade away. Keep in mind that this happened every single time that I couldn’t tip. I didn’t let it faze me from not coming back for her services. The next incident that really shocked me was when I brought my filled out business card to get a free eyebrow service. (You can get her to sign the back of their business card for each of your visits. After a number of visits, your next eyebrow visit is free.)The whole card was full, which meant my visit was free. She refused to accept it and told me to bring it in next time. Strike two. Even through all the discomfort, I referred someone to her, and she treated them the same way when it came to tipping. The last incident was a couple days ago. I had gone in to do my eyebrows. When I was done, I went to pay. She told me my total was $ 7. I was like okay. She asked me if that was okay. I told her yes. Then she was about to swipe my card and stopped. She began to stutter a bit and told me that she now charges 50 cents extra for credit/​debit cards. The funny thing is the customer before me didn’t pay with cash… and she never took that «charge». Tina didn’t think I knew she paid with card because I was still getting my brows done. But at the time, the customer apologized that she WAS NOT going to pay with cash this time. She never charged her! Priority charging at the finest!
To be fair, I haven’t seen her treat any customers the way I have been treated. Her work is great, and if it wasn’t, I would have put two stars. Sad to say, I will be looking for a new place to go. A place where I won’t feel guilty every time I am too broke to tip :).

I was very happy with my eyebrows! It’s very hard for me to find someone who can shape them well so when I do I am thrilled! And for a great price, can’t beat it! Highly recommend this place.

They’re friendly and do a pretty good job. I haven’t had to wait long and my eyebrows are clean. This is close to my house, I’ll be going back often. Prices are good

Tina is really good at eyebrow threading. It takes a lot for me to be able to have trust in anyone doing my eyebrows. And she gained my trust right away. The staff there are very kind polite and very professional. I highly recommend this place (:

I will admit, Tina is EXTREMELY sweet, and thorough… but how she tends to thread can be so thorough that it’s a tad bit too slow for my comfort, and by default, FAR MORE PAINFUL. Had a mixture of great and not so great experiences here.

I was in need of an eyebrow threading after a month of neglecting them LOL but I didn’t want to go to my usual place (Angels Beauty Threading) because I wanted to save some money.
Found this place on Unilocal for $ 7 eyebrow threading so I decided to drop by. There was 2 people ahead of me but the wait wasn’t that long (10 – 15 min max).
When I was called and sat on the chair, I told Tina that it was my first time here. During the threading, she would converse with me asking me questions and telling me funny stories. Although I have a very low tolerance of pain and shed several tears, I felt really comfortable since talking to her ease my nervousness! When she was done, she asked if I wanted a massage, I agreed and that really help sooth the mild pain!
At Angels, eyebrows alone is $ 9 NOT including tip but here you can get it for $ 9 INCLUDING tip and same result!
Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cheaper, possibly better, equivalent. Don’t forget to get a stamp card as well!

I’ve been here several times and finally writing a review. The owner, she is really nice and I always go to her because she has worked on my face before at a different location. She takes her time and it’s painless for me. I recommend coming here. Plus it’s not that expensive

This is my new go to spot for brows! Only $ 7!!! Doesn’t get much better than that.
Tina is so sweet! She makes you feel so comfortable and is truly genuine in the questions she asks you.
I went in for a clean up of my brows but asked her to keep them thick just get rid of the hairs around the main brow. She did exactly what I asked!

Was on my way to work & I needed my eyebrows done so I stopped by this place. A younger woman began doing my eyebrows and honestly didn’t do that great.
When she was finished Tina came over & looked at my brows and did them herself. After she was done they actually looked a lot better. I’m thankful that she came and took over or else my brows would not look this great. Though, I was in there for about 30minutes. Tina was apologetic and very nice about the situation.
It was sort of pricey. I’m used to paying $ 5 but I guess it’s a good price for the area.
Overall I probably would come back if I was in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way to come here.

Finally my eyebrows are even! At a fantastic price too!
I didn’t get the technicians name but she was lovely. Listened to exactly how I wanted my brows done and did them that way — not by what’s in style but actually what works best for my features. Thanks!
Ladies and Gents, if you are doing this for the first time know it hurts. But they do a fantastic job here! The place is clean and nice. Would love to come back whenever I need to, but it’s just sooo far from me! :(

So lemme tell y ’ all a story of how I found this place. I was next door at TeaArias. I was just on my phone on Unilocaling looking at nearby places. This place showed up and had extremely good reviews and eyebrow threading is only $ 7! What a deeeal!!!
So I decided to just drop by…
There was only one lady working. She first started with my right eyebrow and did a little to see how I liked it but it looked kind of weird and she cleaned it up some more making my eyebrows thinner but hey. … I’ve always wanted my eyebrows like that but was too scared that the eyebrow threaders would make it too thin. It actually turned out very nice and just the way I like it!!!
it was actually so painful for me since I haven’t threaded my eyebrows in about 3 months … ahahha. But I will definitely be back here every 2 weeks so I don’t lose the current shape:))

I was looking for a place where they could do something with my eyebrows. I used to go to Ulta or Macys to the Eyebrow bar and pay over $ 20 for just my eyebrows. I went there for really long time hoping that they would be able to make my eyebrows look decent. I got tired of paying so much and coming home and having to remove some little hairs because they always say that they were still under skin.
Searching for a place in Unilocal,I came across Golden Eye Threading. Today was my first visit, and Tina did to my eyebrows what the eyebrow bar people was not able to do in years, she did an amazing job, and now my eyebrows have a shape.
I highly recommend her to anyone that wants really good service. From now on, I will go with her for all my hair removal. She is really good, and she really knows what she is doing. It did not hurt and my skin was not even red.
Prices are super affordable!!!

My mom & I saw the sign being waved around for this place and thought $ 7 is a great price. I had my dog with us because of some circumstances so my mom and I thought we could take turns watching my dog outside and getting our brows threaded. We showed up and they welcomed our dog into the store. They had these 2 bowls near the door with water for decoration purposes but my dog drank out of them. Even though she made a mess, the owners were kind and gave her a bowl of water to drink.
Not only did the lady do a great job on my mom and I’s eyebrows, they treated us very well despite my dog making a mess. This will be our new go to eyebrow threading place.

Very glad to have found this threading place in HB. My experience with Tina was wonderful. She was very gentle, thorough and friendly. She took her time threading my brows and I was very pleased with the result. According to her this her new venture after working for someone for 9 years. She has very minimal decorations and furnishings around but It was tidy and clean. There are plenty of parking available in this plaza so it should be stress free coming here.
Overall, I will come back here and will recommend her services to fellow Unilocalers.
