These guys did a fabulous job with my move. Nothing was broken or damaged at all. I thought their pricing was very fair. I’d highly recommend them.

These guys are the best. They made our move so easy, simple, and stress free. They are hard working and careful. Simply put, I wouldn’t use anyone else.

This is my second time with Golden West Moving. Matt and John did a great job again. They are very professional, courteous, careful, and very efficient. John, Juan and Matt moved my 80-​year old mother last weekend and they were awesome! They did a great job packing up her fragile items and were very patient as we decided where to place future. I would definitely recommend them!

Golden West Moving was a referral from my realtor. Mr Yoss came out to the house and ensured that I had a thorough understanding of the services, what to expect, etc. I received my written estimate exactly when he said that I would receive it. My move was scheduled quickly. I was moving out furniture and boxes of items to a storage unit in order to stage my home for showing. When the 3 gentlemen came to move my items, they were exceptional. Courteous, communicative and took extra care with my furniture, my floors, my walls, the stair banisters, etc. They carefully packed the electronics (HDTV, stereo, etc). I’ve used many movers through the years, many for cross country moves and this company is simply the best — the top. I will definitely call them when I move the remainder of my household items to a new home. Highly recommend.

This is my third time using Golden West both for local and long distance. The team takes pride in what they do and protecting their customers property.
Hopefully I am done moving for awhile but when I do need to move again, I will reach out to these guys.

Awesome experience. I worked with several people including the owner. I was very pleased that after having donated some furniture between the mover’s estimate and the completion of the move, the final fee was reduced by $ 350. Thank you GWM.

John and Raymond were on time, quick, courteous and very professional. They moved us from Orange County to the desert within 24 hrs, no mess no fuss, they arranged furniture for us without hesitation and when they were done everything was clean and in place. We moved our furniture from a condo in Huntington Beach recently with the help of Golden West Moving. The move could have been complicated since some of the furniture was going to friends in Carlsbad and San Diego. But the two young movers, Phil and Sol, kept the operation smoothly moving forward. Our friends who received some of the furniture told us later how courteous and efficient Phil and Sol had been. If I ever need to move anything again, Golden West Moving would be my first choice for courtesy, efficiency and price.

From the moment I met Peter, to the time the truck rolled away,.this was as pro as it gets. I like to use local businesses when possible, and this is one of the best experiences I could have hoped for. Highly recommended

Great service. We used them to move from Newport Beach to Westminster with a few days heads up. My mother also used them to go from Newport to Irvine. They send 2 guys with the truck and are loaded with boxes, tape, wrapping supplies, and needed tools. They never complained and had a great attitude!!! They are pricey at $ 88 an hour and cost us for our move about $ 350. Great service!!! Efficient and helpful!!! Just a bit costly.

First off, we WERE loyal customers of Golden West Moving, Huntington Beach until this move… BUT that was because we didn’t comparison shop and so we just didn’t know any better. This time we did and were we surprised! If you’re considering hiring GWM, do your homework and talk to other highly rated companies before making your decision.

Moving is painful and stressful, so it’s worthwhile to hire a good moving company.
If money, peace of mind, predictable scheduling, predictable pricing, great customer service, and fast hard-​working movers are important to you; do your own comparison shopping first; you’ll be much happier elsewhere.

i have used this company twice in the past 10 years and both times they were excellent to work with. Peter showed up on time for the estimate and the office followed up prior to moving day and the crew was great to work with. I have referred them to a couple of friends and they also commented about how great they were.

This is gonna sound like I’m related to one of the employees. I’m not, and I have no connection with this company other than being a customer. They moved me from the West Coast to the East in Dec. 2009, and they did a superb job.
As much as they could, they did their best to work with my changing schedule. They were completely up-​front with the costs — nothing was hidden. They helped me troubleshoot the best and cheapest way to go with insurance. Travis largely oversaw the move, and stayed in surprisingly close contact during the actual transition. And their price was very reasonable for this long-​distance move. I got bids from two other companies, one of which was a bit lower than Golden West, but not by much.
Bottom line: These guys are good. They take pride in their work, and they seemed intent on making my move a good one.

They were very flexible and responsive for my move, which I appreciated since it was a bit complicated and had several moving parts. The movers were 5 minutes early, very friendly and helpful; could not have gone smoother. Definitely use for my next move!

Simply, THE BEST! Professional service with a family attitude. An absolute pleasure knowing that you’re going with the best in the business, each and every time. I’ve used Golden West to move me a half dozen times now, with a couple moves under extremely difficult circumstances, such as a 3^rd floor with NO elevator and they’ve always been reliable and have done a great job! Office manager, Rachel, is simply a delight to speak to. Peter, the owner, is an extremely personable fellow who really does care about his company, as well as each move, personally. Luckily, I have been fortunate enough to have Phillip oversee each of my moves and his professionalism and courteous service have been outstanding. I wouldn’t want to entrust my personal possessions to anyone else, at this point.

My first Unilocal post. But I just had to write one, and hopefully help someone out. Worst moving company I’ve ever dealt with.
Here’s my story, scheduled move at 9am, made appointment nearly a week in advance. No one shows up and no one calls, so I decide to check in at 9:20 am. Oh, they say, we canceled your appointment cause they screwed up on their side. Apparently they mistyped my phone number and decided to cancel. Thanks for letting me know. The best they can do is move me at 2 pm, and offer me a 10% discount. Wooo hoo, save me less then $ 20, but cost me 5 hours of my day, and potentially screw up my other scheduled appts.
Poor customer service, no communication. the movers were ok, when they finally showed up, but they weren’t even employees of this company, they were an independent company.
Needless to say, I was not happy. I’d go find someone else to move your stuff.

I am glad someone had a good experience with them, but I am being honest when I say I would never recommend them to anyone. I waited two weeks for my stuff to get to me and it was a really small move. I wasn’t going to Egypt or something, just up the coast.
When I got here the movers were less than professional and threw my boxes around as if they were garbage. I tried to guide them where would be the best place for certain boxes, but they just stacked them one on top of the other, whether the box underneath could handle the weight or not. They just piled it all up, crushing several boxes nearly in half and making unpacking difficult for me.
Some furniture came scratched and they argued and argued that they couldn’t have done it. Then when I found out an irreplaceable item had been smashed to smithereens I was told I should have had better insurance and it wasn’t their fault that I didn’t know how to pack better. It was wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap and surrounded by towels.
Use them at your own risk.

we recently moved and had no idea who to use. my husband found them online. the owner was friendly. he gave us a free quote and was very patient and detailed. three of his men came and were very prompt and professional. we were impressed how long they have been working for the company. we ended up using 3 vaults and for a rather reasonable price.
i highly recommend them!!!
