G’s Boat House

Stopped by to grab some beer and nachos. The nachos were decent, nothing to rave about. Got the wings as well, and pretty standard. The reason for 3 stars is that the service was very slow. We had to wave the waitress over everytime we needed something. If you check into Unilocal,you get 10% off the bill. But make sure you mention it to the waitress. She had no idea.

This place goes!!!

We just had dinner here and it was awesome!!! We had the Cioppino, Nachos, Wings and Mahi Mahi. The Cioppino was right on– it reminded us of San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf with great broth and really succulent crabs, scallops, clams and fish. Our server, Kelly, was friendly and very attentive. This place is a hidden gem.

Service was great and the food was too. Nice ambiance with outdoor seating for people watching.

I asked for the nachos but instead of chips I asked if they could put fries instead, and they did it without hesitation

First time here, and it’s pretty cool! The waitresses are really nice and attentive, and the atmosphere is is very relaxed and casual. Food is okay, the oysters aren’t too good, and the shrimp and crab soup was a little heavy on the cream, but the sweet potato fries and ahi steak were solid!

Definitely recommend! A group of 3 of us popped in to enjoy some brewskis and some oysters. Our bartender/​waitress Shelly was really sweet, personable and fun. It’s located across from Gallaghers pub and grill. Thumbs up!

We love G’s! Best food, drinks, service and bartenders in all downtown! I highly recommend this spot to anyone that asks «wheres the best place to go on Main»…always G’s ! You can always find your game on and the surf heats at the same
time. Best of both worlds!

Muriel recommended the happy hour steamed clams for $ 8,awesome. Cioppino was spicy and wonderful! Stop by for sure. Muriel ROCKS!

I’ve been a Oc local for the past several years. Not once have I had a bad thing to say about Huntington bar life. Normally stick to main but decided to check out this bar late night with the homies. It seemed like a good time from the outside. Went inside and seemed like a outsider for the first time in years. Waited at the bar for 20 plus mins and saw many of people get drinks before me. Made contact with the bartender and received a eye roll. A little annoyed and spoke out then got a very verbal response the staff. Very aggressive from the set in used too. I wish there was zero star. Screw that place. I’ll stick to HB brew co, Hurricanes, or sharkees.

I had heard mixed reviews about this place, and didn’t really want to go. When I arrived it was super crowded and I almost walked straight back out. But, as i thought there was no way I could find room, a petite blonde «Jenn» greeted me with a lovely smile and effortlessly created some major movement for me on the left side so I followed her and sat down.
Her customer service was stunning, she made me feel like the most important person in the room (even though she appeared to be handling six other tables). Her «Sunny» disposition was infectious. At one point she must have heard us talking about seeing Phoenix at Coachella, because within a few minutes «girlfriend» started playing and she walked back with my drink and a big smile on her face.
I travel extensively for business and entertain clients at some of the best locations across the West — I appreciate great service and its great service that makes me want to come back again — Jenn’s service makes me want to come again and again.
The only thing that could have made my visit better was if they had Indian food on the menu… oh well, i guess you can’t always have everything — as a wise lady used to say «C’est La Vie».

Best place in HB. All the bartenders are super friendly. Great value on drinks and food., Shrimp tacos are my go to. I often come down for taco Tuesday, ala carte. Additionally, the HB street market is Tuesday’s. Nice patio in the sun, with lots of people watching.:)

Went on Saturday night and expected it to be hectic. Well understatement. We seated ourselves and didn’t see a server for about 10 minutes so went to the bar and got a couple drinks. The drinks were huge and we’ll done. I cannot recall the name of the drink but had vodka and ginger beer. Downhill from there.
Another 15 minutes finally saw a server who proceeded to ask if I needed a menu. Unm, yes. She said terrible communication issue here tonight. I should have left right then. We saw her periodically but she didn’t care to see us for another 15 minutes. She came over and took our order and didn’t write anything down. That can be OK but when it’s chaos I worry. Well, 15 more minutes later my oysters come or so I thought. She gave them to the table next to us who got there about 20 minutes after us.
That was it for us. We walked out and that server looked like she was in the back sleeping or hitting the pipe.
We will never go back and will be telling all our friends to walk right by with their hard earned money.

Looking for the best mixed drinks in HB? This place is it! Trust me! This place was one of the last bars we stopped in to check out on my Bday. Their Rainbow slushie was better then the ones we had at Aloha Grill. We had their ceviche which was amazing! The Bartender was down to earth as were the patrons of the bar!

Just stopped in for some oysters while near the beach so it was a quick ordeal. The oysters were good but we had to ask for lemons and Tabasco sauce which I would think would come with it. It’s kinda dark and dreary inside so if you don’t get a seat out its kind of a mood killer looking out.

Love this place! I’ve only eaten here once, it was actually my first meal in HB the food was good and the wine is great. The staff is very warm and friendly I really enjoy coming here. I heard they have sloppy Joe Sundays but haven’t tried it yet.

Loved this places Raw Bar! Great place to just kickback and relax and enjoy the food!
