Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

I’ve had massages literally all around the world and the best massages I have had ever are from Jeremy at Hands and Stone. I have the membership and was about to cancel until new management came in and I found Jeremy. This place is clean, price is right and friendly and professional staff. Jeremy has healing hands and every time I walk out of there my body stress is gone, my mind is relaxed and every sore muscle is relieved. His massages relieve so much pain and stress for weeks! If I could afford once a week I would be going! I recommend this place and I only recommend Jeremy for massages.

Not what I expected. The facialist was horrible. She never explained what was being done, What kind of facial I was getting and worse part. everything was ice cold. From the bed to the products to her fingertips. No shoulder massage or anything. To add insult to injury. The facialist that did my daughter did the opposite of what mine did, she used extremely hot towels ands wiped, massaged her shoulders ands informed her about her skin. and then told my daughter that they had products for her skin but would be out of our price range she thought we could afford what she had to offer. Here’s the kicker you sorry snoby lady we get our facials done in tustin we use those same dermalogical products you sell, we even pay double for our facials then what you charge. We only came in hopes in finding a spa closer to home. As they say you get what you pay for.

I came here a month or two ago… So I am pregnant and had been trying to find the right place and the right person for a prenatal massage. Well the person I ended up with was not the one unfortunately. I did purchase a facial and massage and I did like the lady I had for the facial and I’m sorry I can’t remember her name. The lady who I had for the massage (and darn it I didn’t write this review soon enough to remember her name) but made it seem like she was in a hurry and according to her my massage time was cut off by 5 – 10 minutes at least and per the MT because the lady that gave me the facial went over on her time and the MT had another appointment behind me. I have thankfully found a new place and person and bought a membership there :)
I’d give less stars if it wasn’t for the good facial I had.

Very frustrated. I had a 1pm appointment and arrived at 1:05pm. The receptionist was busy helping another dissatisfied client for 5 minutes, so I officially checked in at 1:10pm. The receptionist informed me that they could not accommodate me because I was late and it took 10 minutes to fill out the new client paper work. When I scheduled my appointment, I was not informed that I should come 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork. As a small business owner myself, I go above and beyond for my regular clients and work even harder to please my new clients. I can’t speak to the services offered because I didn’t even make it past the lobby. They just lost a potential regular client who gets at least a monthly massage. I have been informed that the manager will contact me on Monday to discuss the situation. The receptionist did not issue a single apology for the miscommunication. Let’s see if there is any follow through.

I love this place solely for Judi. She’s the best aesthetician I’ve ever seen. She’s so honest and thorough and very knowledgeable. There’s times I go in and I ask her to do something that’s upgraded and expensive and she’s like «not a good idea, your face is inflamed, let’s do this»…and the treatment will be less expensive. She gained my trust from my first visit when this conversation happened. Since then I’ve seen her about 5 – 6 times and she continues to advise me on treatment that suits me for that day. She’s about results, care and not about upgrades. It’s not very often you come across people like this these days. The front desk girl is also very sweet and aways tries to accommodate me as well. If you’re looking for a great facial at a great price, with people that have integrity and love what they do… come here and ask for Judi! Her passion really shows!

I feel the need to post a positive review to offset some of the negative ones. I came in for a massage because it was recommended by my doctor. At first, I was hesitant to come here because of the complaints about selling the membership package. But with their introductory deal, I decided to give it a try.
Maria gave me a great deep tissue massage, and paid extra attention to my problem areas (neck and shoulders). Once I was done, the receptionist did explain their membership package, which I politely declined, and that was that.
Unfortunately, I’m not sure I could afford a massage at the regular rate. But my introductory massage was lovely!

Massage was good. I would have rated this place higher. But when I was checking out the 2 girls upfront kept trying to offer me packages and wouldn’t take no for an answer. I had to tell them 6 times that I wasn’t interested. It ruined my whole experience and stressed me out. It felt like dealing with a used car salesman. I will never go back and definitely not recommended especially with all the other good options in HB…

Love Corrine! Have been to see her twice and can’t tell you how relaxed and comfortable she made me feel. Not too keen on the front desk receptionists asking about membership every time, but will definitely keep getting massages as long as they’re this good whenever the budget allows.

I really enjoyed the massage. Probably one of the best I’ve ever had.
However, I am seriously questioning whether or not I will be back. Because I did NOT enjoy the manager trying to pitch the membership at the end to myself and ALL my friends. PLEASE READ ALL THE REVIEWS and realize that asking clients «may I ask why you don’t want the membership» WILL NOT get you the upsell nor make the client feel any more comfortable about saying no .
There are other sales pitches and approaches that management should explore because being pushy and questioning your clients will ultimately deter them from coming back, even if the massages and environment were good.

I’ve had facials done by all the estheticians here and they are all absolutely wonderful! They really pay attention to every concern I have for my face and the manager goes above and beyond. The receptionists are always super helpful also!
I’ve had a salicylic peel done by Marissa (I think that was her name, she is the really pretty pregnant esthetician) and I used the ultra calming line by dermalogica (recommended by Marissa and the manager) to help with the recovery process at home and my face is doing SO much better!!!
I definitely recommend all the estheticians here… They are all wonderful and my face and I thank them sooooo much!!!

I came in for a massage at Hand & Stone a couple weeks back and Michelle was my massage therapist. That girl seriously worked every single kink and knot out of my back and shoulders – amazing job! She was quiet for the most part and while I’m a talker, I seriously don’t mind having a quiet environment in a setting like that.
The room was clean and dim, and Michelle assured me that we were in a no-​judgement zone, which I appreciated. I opted for the hour long Swedish massage (which is really 50 minutes) and the $ 18 peppermint scalp massage. Everything was on point, and my hair smelled fantastic!
The thing I don’t care for about Hand & Stone is that they really, REALLY try to upsell you in purchasing their membership programs. The girl who rang me up must’ve been the manager and she kept ending her spiel with «I can sign you up for that today.» Thankfully I was able to keep myself from getting roped in; it’s not a cheap program and I don’t get massages often enough to do something like that.

After a perfectly lovely massage that was gifted to me at Christmas, I must say that due to the attitude and sales pitch by the receptionist I have to give this experience 3 stars.
As I went to pay, with gift cards, the receptionist gave me a long description of their monthly membership. I said «no thank you» then she proceeded to say «may I ask why?» What!!! I wanted to say «no you may not» but responded that «this was a luxury and only happened due to the gift cards I received.» Apparently this answer was not enough for her and she continued explaining 2 more portions of the membership.
Sorry, but I don’t enjoy being bombarded by sales pitch given by a girl who should really be working at a used car lot after I just had a relaxing massage.
Again, Ines was a great masseuse but what came after was ridiculous and rude.

So first things first — my regular massage therapist moved to Park City in October. I haven’t had a good massage since, so I wasn’t super expectant. HOWEVER — my massage today was INCREDIBLE! For sure ask for Stephanie. She listened to me, understood what I was saying, talked muscle groups, and worked magic. I was in major pain today, and tonight it is gone. I feel amazing!
Top that off with a friendly and accommodating front desk staff? This place is a keeper. I couldn’t sign up for membership today, but I’ll be on board as soon as budget allows.

Place is a scam. They will sign you up and when you ask to cancel they will conveniently forget to cancel and keep billing your account. They over billed us $ 400 and wont refund. Don’t go here.

I see Melinda every couple of weeks. She’s amazing. Highly recommend her. The massage place is the best… definitely keep going back.

Had a wonderful hot stone massage done by Vanessa. I also had the peppermint scalp massage and that was outstanding. Definitely coming back soon!

I don’t do facial or aroma therapy, which seem to be popular items, so I cannot comment on them.
I did deep tissue massage for 80min and it was worth every penny. My masseuse was very careful yet strong with her touch, exactly what I asked for my neck and shoulder pain.

Excellent! Maria does an amazing massage. Melissa does a great facial as well. The staff is very accommodating and leaves no stone unturned with services. I couldn’t pull up my Unilocal coupon on this first visit but didn’t mind at all because I know I Will use it as a returning customer very soon!!!

Great staff, good location, and decent prices! I have a back injury and supplement my PT with massage therapy. The staff here are very familiar with helping this through neuro-​muscular massage and it’s helped a lot! Also, a very clean, modern, and professional facility.

Enjoyed a lovely spa day with my mom and sis about a month ago. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the frontdesk staff and she was very welcoming and friendly and offered all of us bottled waters. I cant recall who did my massage, but she did an excellent job, knocked me out pretty good! Only downfall for me is I wish hand & stone had another location closer to me… perhaps long beach or torrance (hint-​hint)
