This is only my second review on Unilocal,but a much needed one indeed. Taking your car to a new mechanic is always an interesting endeavor, and rarely do I feel 100% confident who I just dropped my baby off to. This was not the case with Joey.
Even the first time I called telling him it was my clutch, one of the first things out of his mouth was, «Clutch repair is really expensive, (which he also quoted me a few hundred dollars less than his competition) I’d like to check it out before so we can make sure it isn’t something else more minor». Already I had a good feeling.
I ended up getting it towed down to the shop and dropped it off. I got a call about a couple hours later from Joey, explaining that though my clutch was definitely on its way out, my car was still very driveable and the work did not necessarily need to happen right now. WOW! A mechanic turning away hundreds of dollars of work for the greater good of the customer. Being that I am leaving to Europe in about a month and am trying to save all I can, this was music to my ears. He charged me a VERY fair amount or the time spent with my car, and I will taking my vehicles back to Joey from now on. He has earned a customer by not even doing much work. Thanks again for the honesty!

Hardest part about finding a mechanic is finding someone who is honest and won’t rip you off. Joeys Auto doesn’t try to upsell you for services that you don’t need and they implement repairs quickly and accurately.

Great pricess compared to other local shops, best mechanics in southern California! Had an ac issue that house of imports wanted 2600 bucks to fix… Joey’s auto solved the problem for a fraction of that price!!!

I have been going to Joeys Auto serves for a long time now and Joey always provides an excellent service and great attitude not only he specialist German engineering vehicles but he does it all. I have been taking my BMW to him for 10 years now and he always fix it starting the most important thing to the little things as small a low air in my tires. Joey will always be my mechanic. My friend recommended Joey’s, since a good mechanic is hard to come by. We both have very large mobile grooming vans that take on alot of wear and tear. Joey’s was totally able to accommodate such a large vehicle (2003 Ram 3500 van) and has always done a great job at its repairs and upkeep as well as preventative maintenance at reasonable honest prices. His years of experience allows him to notice things other mechanics don’t and takes the time to explain what’s happening and what needs to be done to prevent worse degradation of any vehicle. I love that he’s always available, if not it’s because he’s talking to another customer. He works hard for the integrity of his business! Always on the go*:) Thanks Joey!

Joeys Auto Service was an awesome place to get my car fixed. I have known Joey for a long time and he is the best when it comes to fixing cars and saving vehicles. He saved my vehicle when he put some new parts in my car and did an incredible job. I don’t know where I would be today without Joey. Joey is the best mechanic around anywhere. He is honest trustworthy and does a great job no matter what kind of job needs to be done on a car. He fixes everything. Brakes, suspension, oil filters, engines tires. I am giving Joey five stars because there is nobody I know who would of done the work on my car and helped me like he did. Joey gave me an oil change at 11pm when I needed an emergency change after a quick call to his place. Great service, fast service, and overall a great place of business. Will be back for sure during regular hours!

My family and I have been with Joey for years now. I have a much older BMW so it is bound to have its issue and this is the perfect place because they do specialize in BMW. Thank you Joey for the service over the years with my whole family. Joey is honest and not pushy; he never tries too hard to sell you his service. He tells you what’s wrong, straight forward.
I also appreciate the fact that he does respond quickly, anytime I ask about anything regarding my car. Almost always, he sees our car right as we call him when there’s a problem.
There have been many times where he himself has offered to come pick up when we (relatives) have not been able to make it to the shop. One time he drove to my house because I actually forgot to sign something LOL

Joey is awesome! When I moved to Orange County I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find a good mechanic. Thank God that someone referred me to Joey. He’s always provided excellent service and has always been fair with pricing. What else can you ask for!

Check BBB (D-​) and «reviews that are not currently recommended» before taking your car here. I’m not saying he is a crook with everyone but he is under investigation.

Joey is awesome! Took my car in to replace the catalytic converter and he was completely up front about all my options especially since it’s a dealer only part. He came in under priced of what he quoted me and finished it exactly when he said he would. He even took care to make sure i got the re smog and passed! Great experience… definitely recommend him!

This review has been long overdue I recently had Joey’s check out my BMW X5 for a non start issue turns out it was a fuel pump. He replaced it right away and also helped me with a on going issue with my non working accessory outlet.
My family and friends has been using Joey for auto service for the pass 15yrs he has always given the most honest and reliable service on all are vehicles. The pricing we’ve received for services has always been fair and the work has always been completed in a timely manor. I will continue to refer everyone I know who is in need of a professional honest and reliable mechanic.

I see the one star reviews from others and have to say that it is not fair! I know for a fact that one of the 1 star reviews still owes Joey quite a bit of money so naturally she is going to say horrible things about him. I am a very cautious car owner having been burned through Pep Boys and car dealerships and I can 100% guarantee you that this shop is excellent and honest. I have been going to Joeys Auto for over 13 years and have found his workmanship and those of his mechanics excellent. His prices are very reasonable and he is always honest and straight forward. I highly recommend Joeys Auto! Don’t go anywhere else!

As a woman going to a mechanic you automatically feel like you are going to be taken advantage of… Let me say that I have gone to Joey’s Auto shop for 8 years and I have always been treat fairly. He has the best prices around and is truly honest with what you need. He doesn’t charge you for or sell you things that you don’t need done. He is quick and considerate of my time each & every time I go. I will never use another mechanic!
