Haven’t had my eye checked out probably in 2 decades– came here as it was on the top of my insurance’s list of nearby locations accepting my coverage. So glad! Great Dr, extremely nice, informative and friendly. My eyes have a slight disadvantage but he recommended to think about getting prescription glasses and not decide today since I didn’t come in with any known issues. Great experience, I will definitely recommend!

Hands Down Dr. Powell is the BEST !!!
I had been going to him for 13 years, then I moved didn’t have insurance so I could not afford to go to him. I went to other Dr’s my last one said there was nothing she could do for me. I was getting old & so were my eyes. Just what I needed to hear the day before my birthday. I went back to Dr. Powell & walked out with my vision. Every thing looked clear, I could see again. What I found out is, I cannot afford NOT to go to him. He’s knowledgeable and shares it with you, he explains everything to you so you can understand. He’s just thorough. He has the latest gadgets. Hands down the Best. I will not go to anyone else Ever!

This is the only Optometrist I will ever go to! Dr. Powell is very professional and thorough! The office doesn’t make you feel uneasy and everyone there is very nice as well as helpful!

I was grabbing coffee next door when suddenly something went in my eye. So I happened to walk in Dr Powell office. His staff and him were so wonderful to assist me with my eye with no questions asked. Since that incident I have found my new optometrist. My only complaint is need to update the décor in the office.

I am a family physician who is very picky. Dr. Powell is thorough, professional and attentive. He has been readily available to me and my patients. Staff is attentive and responsive, wait times are minimal. I trust him completely with my vision care.

I really like this doctor. He seems to be very good and has a great maner about him. They could stand to update the office décor a bit, but what does that matter really. Except for in the exam room where there is a white tiger straddling a giant crystal in outter space, dont change that please.

Let me preface this review, letting you know I’m seriously almost blind (without contacts or glasses) and it keeps getting worse… so I may know a thing or two about optometrists and I haven’t missed my yearly check-​up pretty much ever.
I’m on my second year of having Dr. Powell as my eye doctor and I’m still unbelievably impressed! To start off, the assistants in his office are kind and more helpful than almost any office assistant I have ever dealt with. As for Dr. Powell himself, he is a fantastic Optometrist!
I had never been happy with the comfort of my contact lenses, which I have been wearing for over 10 years and I wear on a daily basis. I have had three previous eye doctors and while some tried, nothing seemed to fully work. I went to Dr. Powell last year and he immediately spotted the problem… My eyeballs are oddly shaped! He set me up with some contacts specific to my eyeball shape and I can barely tell I’m wearing them – it’s amazing!
The office has fantastic hours on top of everything else (open until 6 or 7 most days)! If you have eyes, I would highly recommend Dr. Powell and his awesome staff. If they can fix my shiteous eyes, you should have no worries!
