My hair stylist of more than 7 years, Sue, just moved to this salon from one a few miles away, and I love it here! The salon’s décor is very welcoming and comfortable with its open floor plan and REAL green plants throughout. Even Sue has lots of positive things to say about it.
My mom and I have been commuting 30 min to Huntington Beach all these years just to see Sue. We can’t trust anyone else with our hair anymore! We’ve even gotten other family (2 aunts and 4 cousins) hooked on Sue. She has so much experience and knowledge on cutting, coloring, and styling. I always walk out feeling amazing! She loves her clients and will always work with your schedule to find time for you. Give Sue a call!!! (She also does waxing!)

Its always been a challenge for me to get my hair done, because I have coarse, thick, long, wavy and premature grey hair. The usual hair salon I went to made me feel like doing my hair was more of hassle, as it usually took several people to put the highlights in. So what usually takes all day to do, it took Sue less than 2 hours. She is amazing! Not only did she make my hair color look amazing, she cut it in such a way that makes my hair finally manageable. I always tied my hair in a bun because I hated my hair, but now I finally feel comfortable leaving it down. Granted its not as cheap as I paid for with my previous salon, but I can truly say it is worth every penny. If you want someone who is precise, honest and knows what she’s doing, ask for Sue. I finally found my go to hair stylist!

I don’t typically write reviews on Unilocal but I couldn’t help myself. If you come to this salon ask for SUE. She’s an amazing hair dresser & will actually cut your hair/​color/​style it the way you want! I’ve been going to her for several years now & she never fails to do a wonderful job. Sue’s very consistent with her work & I’m always getting compliments from people asking me where I get my hair done. The funniest encounter was when I had a man come up to me in Massachusetts to compliment my highlights saying they were done extremely well & asked me where I got my hair done! I highly recommend Sue! I always end up leaving the salon feeling oh so sexyyy :)

I have been to this place maybe 6 or seven times in the past few years. Overall, they have great hairdressers. I have had Tracey, sue, and Yaffe do my hair. My nails have been done by Connie. I have had a great experience with them all.

Not recommended to go there for nails… My friend was outraged on how terrible they went over the cuticle and just by the touch u can tell is was wiggly and not well done… Never again making that mistake again

Just had my hair cut by Tracey after seeing all the great reviews on here and I love my new haircut! I had long, dry, and processed hair and wanted to cut most of the ends off, but still keeping a long length. I also wanted lots of layers and bangs that I can style to the side or straight down. I brought a couple of pictures to show Tracey what I wanted and she totally delivered! She razored off a TON of dead hair from my head and now my head feels so much lighter and healthier than how it was. My bangs and layers look terrific and I can’t wait to play with my hair and see what kind of looks I can come up with. She was also really sweet and took the time to make sure my hair looked perfect. Thanks, Tracey! I’ll definitely be coming back!

I’ve sent my wife to many salons, from chic upscale San Francisco places to mom and pop places here in Orange County, and all have left her unsatisfied in some way until a friend of hers recommended Le Joli.
My wife was able to make an appointment for the next day with Tracy. The salon is a little hidden next to the Walgreens on Beach and Slater, but once inside its very clean, upscale and nice. Tracy took care of my wife right away. Tracy took time to explain to my wife ways to help her maintain the health of her hair and shared tips and tricks to keep her looking great after she left the salon. She cut and colored her hair with hypoallergenic ammonia free products and my wife came out of her appointment looking her best! My wife was also happy that she didn’t try and up sell her service or product either.
After she was done, Tracy didn’t have any appointments and was happy to give me a cut as well. She did a fantastic job, and I was laughing the whole time! I really enjoyed my haircut and shampoo and will be going back soon.
The salon also does nails, facials and makeup, though I have to admit that I didn’t try any of those services :-)
So if you’re a guy looking to treat your girl to a nice salon that’s also affordable… Look no further! Go get a haircut and check it out yourself!

I originally wanted to say that the only reason I’m writing a review was because Tracey encouraged me to do so, but I honestly feel like I owe her my first salon review.
Plain and simple – she knows Asian hair. She offered good advice when I couldn’t decide between long and short, and I am very happy with the way she layered my hair. She also gave me a ton of tips on how to better take care of it… because Lord knows I neglect it.
Congratulations, Tracey! You’ve managed to tame my dry, coarse, thick, frizzy, unruly hair… AND take my salon review virginity.

I did haircut and hair-​color at Le Joli Salon on Friday last week (the week before Halloween). A friend told me about this place. I was very satisfied with the service here. Tracy was amazing!
My hair color is very pretty (violet red brown color. sorry I don’t know the name of my hair color. I just showed Tracy a picture of my wanted hair color and she colored my hair exactly like that… how amazing she was !). I LOVE my new hair color very much…(and my friends like my new hair color too ! Yea!)
Tracy spent more than 3 hours with me to make sure I was happy with the color and haircut. She also showed me how to take care of color treated hair. My hair is very soft and looks extremely healthy after dying (even now after 3 days)
I would definitely come back and refer my friends to this place!

I first was referred to Tracey thru my wedding hairstylist! My stylist wanted me to get a great hair cut before my BIG DAY so she referred me to Le Joli Salon! Tracey is SUCH a sweet heart and is soo accomodating when you first meet her! I could tell we were going to get along just fine…
Now I have been everywhere in LA. Santa Monica, Beverly Hills. all in an attempt to find a nice hairstylist that wont be pushy or snobby or judge-​y… and I have had some bad luck. But when I met Tracey she did such a great job for my wedding that I ended up coming back for routine hair care after!
Tracey is a talented person and she still does an awesome job on my hair! She introduced me to moroccan oil. and now. theres no turning back! my hair has never been healthier! She is always giving me tips on how to care for my hair, or telling me about the newest trends. instead of being pushy or trying to make me buy products just so she can make a sale. She truly has my hair’s best interest at heart. LOL that sounds funny when I read it back. but Im sorry, I really care about my hair.
Now I still live in WLA. and I DRIVE DOWN to see her when I need my mane tamed. that should tell you something! Tracey truly is a jack of all trades! Need a mani-​pedi? No problem! Her wall is stocked with tons of OPI colors! and she has spa chairs in the back! Want to glam up your look before a big night on the town? She will hook you up with eyelash extensions !!!

Since moving to California a 6 years ago I have bounced around barbers /​hair stylists a lot. I will think I find one but then inevitably get disappointed. My newest find is Tracy at Le Joli [not sure if there are more than one «Tracys but this review is for the Veitnamese Tracy :) ]. She is awesome, very nice, cute, friendly, laid back, and most importantly gives great guys hair cuts at a reasonable price (no idea on women’s styles but everyone always seems to be happy when they leave).
I also really appreciate she lets me text to schedule an appointment and is very quick to respond. Awesome given my busy schedule and that I usually think of a haircut when I am sitting on a conference call or otherwise can’t use my phone to talk.

So this is my THIRD review for Le Joli Salon, but it’s worth writing it.
Since college, I’ve never had a hair stylist for more than a few months. And this is already my 2^nd year with her. That speaks VOLUME.
Just went to her again today for a haircut and before I knew it, an hour passed by.
Why? I had too much fun talking to her again. If all my trips to the dentist were this good every time, I would have the whitest teeth in all of Orange County. Now I only have the best hair in Orange County, but I can live with that =)
No really, my hair looks awesome. Yes even for a guy.
Tracey really gets it. She knows exactly what I want.
And for $ 20 bucks??? My god. It’s a no brainer (for the ladies, it’ll cost more but that’s everywhere).
So what are you waiting for? Reading around for more reviews??? No need to waste your time. Tracey’s your girl.

Admittedly I am a serial hair stylist hopper. I don’t think I’ve been to the same hair stylist more than twice. That said, I relied on olé faithful Unilocal to lead me to my next hairventure. Since I live so close to this salon I unequivocally decided to book an appointment. What I appreciated was that the salon was well-​maintained and clean. Tracey was friendly and knowledgeable. She maintained a professional manner and wasn’t too chatty.
The reason why my cut warrants the given rating is because I wasn’t pleased with the overall look or cut. I had long hair that reached mid-​back and went in with the intent of keeping it on the longer side but wanted to leave edgier and «impossibly fresh looking.» If that makes any sense. I know, I’m picky. I never judge a hair cut right after the stylist is done cause it just isn’t practical since he or she has just spent considerable amount of time and product to style. So the next day, after my own minimal styling, I noticed thet cut had some layers to make my hair flowly and bouncy but the middle section of my hair was chunky and heavy-​looking. Another good measure of a good cut is how well it grows out. Since the cut here I waited 5 months for my next hair cut, the layers did not blend well or grow out evenly. So not worth the 70 bucks I paid.
Probably won’t be going back.

Last year I was waiting in line with a friend to have dinner at a famous craw fish restaurant when she ran into one of her old friends. After overhearing their catch up conversation while I was on the phone, I asked her to repeat the salon name that she works at and she said Le Joli Salon. So, a week passed by and i decided to give the salon a call and schedule an appt with her, but as my luck would have it I ended up with Tracey. This, by no means, is a bad review (look at the stars), I am actually happy that Tracey worked on my hair because this woman is full of knowledge. I love how she is up to date with trends yet is also well informed on products that work best for my hair.
I recently went back to Tracey (1÷28÷2011) during my lunch break and returned back to work with time to spare. We were able to get in a good conversation about products and styling equipment that would work well for me. She has always been helpful and direct. I must also mention that my hair is very fine and thin and when I found out how much Tracey charged me for the cut, I don’t think I’d want to go to anyone else. Two thumbs up, Tracey!

This salon is huge! I love the simple décor here with Zen feel to it. It’s spotlessly clean which is amazing! The salon is very calming feel to it. I always leave feeling relaxed and relieved.

If you’re looking to be pampered at a professional high end salon without having to break the bank this is your place.
My favorite stylist is Tracey. She takes her times with all her clients so you will never feel rushed when you’re there. She’s also a perfectionist so you know you’ll leave the place feeling satisfied with the service.
I’ve been coming here for several years now. I love this salon for being so clean with friendly staff and great service. Most of all they take their time with client.

Do not do your eyelash extensions here. It’s cheap but not worth it, pay a little extra for something that actually lasts and doesn’t look like you did it yourself!
Also does anyone else notice that the raving 5 star reviews and recommendations come from faceless Unilocalers and this just happens to be their one and only review. Seriously? If you are that good your customers will recommend you themselves, no need to make accounts to get customers.

I decided to try eyelash extensions for the first time before heading out to vegas so that I wouldn’t have to keep putting on the strip ones and because I wanted longer lashes for the pool.
It was a really good deal compared to what I’ve heard for extensions– about $ 40-​$ 45.
I have barely any eyelashes and they are short, so she put these types that were small strips but individual and basically glued them on top of a couple of my natural lashes so it would stay.
They looked really good because I did ask them to be a little more dramatic since I was going to vegas. However, like another reviewer said, they started to point in different directions. Also, when they began to fall off, which was a couple of days to a week later, I had the urge to rip them all out because it just looked funny with some places missing the lashes.
I probably won’t come back. If I really ever need to get extensions again, I think I’d rather fork up more money to get the really good kinds, cause I’m assuming those professionals know how to put the single ones on me and so they’d stay on longer.

I got my hair done yesterday by Lulu. I love her! She has great style and is experienced in trendy cuts and color/​highlights. She listened to my every concern about my hair and offered ideas and suggestions. Her work is very meticulous. I left the salon felling like a million bucks and everyone has been complimenting me on my hair.
I came into the salon with an obvious home hair dye. My roots were lighter than the rest of my hair. Lulu was able to strip out the old dye and make it all blend perfectly. I added some highlights to get ready for the summer too. My color turned out just the way I wanted it.
My friends have also booked Lulu for their bridal hair and make up. They loved the outcome of her work. The brides looked beautiful in person and in photos. She freelances for MAC and is really, really good with makeup and styling hair. From curly hair to up dos… I am telling you, shes the Jill of all Trades (Jack of all trades… Jill… ok, jokes aren’t funny when you feel the need to explain it haha.)
For all your hair and getting dolled up needs… BOOK HER! She’s GREAT!

I’m always weary about going to a new salon to get a haircut, unlike a bad meal that lasts for a few hours or memory a bad haircut lasts much longer. I know because I speak from experience.
After reading all the positive reviews I thought I’d give this place a shot. I came in on a weekday to take advantage of the color special for first time clients. It’s listed at $ 35 but as we all know you’ll get charged more if you have more hair. When I first walked out of the salon I wasn’t too excited about my color because it was too dark but as the week has passed it has lightened up and am happy with the results. It has not faded but that may be because I’ve been using the right kind of shampoo. I also wasn’t too happy with my haircut. I got a lot of the weight cut off which left me with a feeling of missing hair. But again as the week progressed I have been extremely happy with the beautiful layers Tracy gave me.
Tracy was very friendly and the salon is clean. I would definitely come back.

The abundance of four and five star reviews for this place baffles me.
After reading the Unilocal reviews and seeing the photos on the website of colorist Melanie Boone, I was very impressed and booked an appointment for a Saturday morning.
I really liked the result from Model #3 at Melanie’s website
and I brought pictures of the way my hair had looked previously which was similar to Model #3’s.
When I left after FOUR hours, I was devastated and ready to cry! My hair didn’t resemble anything we talked about or that I expected. It was so ash toned that the extremely highlighted areas looked gray, not to mention there was a lot of orange colored «bleeding» near the crown, and very uneven weaving throughout the entire head. I had so many foils on my head that I could have lit up the entire city of Huntington Beach. Three foils fell out during the process (a first time experience for me!!), so there was bleeding near my temples that was corrected before I left.
This experience was traumatizing for me and I had to find another salon that was open on Sunday so that I could get a semi-​permanent color put over the work I had done at Le Joli.
On another note about the salon. Melanie and I stood outside a locked salon for about 20 minutes before the owner, Tracy, drove up and announced that she had a cancellation. Obviously she rudely didn’t consider that one of her station renters might have had an appointment at the time the salon was actually supposed to open.
Most salons are bustling on a Saturday, so I found it very odd that NO ONE else was working there — — no sytlists, no manicurists — — no one.
Apparently the employees that were there previously have left the building. What up with that?
