Orange County Massage

I went to try this place out today. It seems like they cater more towards men, but all is welcome. It’s mostly private except for when the women or the clients walk in and out of the curtains. I’m not uptight if anyone sees me so I’m ok with that. They don’t speak good English, but they try really hard to accommodate. As a matter of fact, I believe they all speak Mandarin.
They have a 1 hour, full body massage for $ 30, but for my first visit, I opted for the full body with foot massage that’s 70 mins long for $ 40. My masseuse was worn down about 45 mins in. I felt bad for her because she was assigned to me right after another client had left. She did a great job considering.
The previous review mentioned that the place was dirty, but that wasn’t my experience. Maybe they took her review to heart and made some changes?
I would go again.

I wish there was such a thing as giving a place zero stars, but unfortunately, there’s no way of doing that. I’ve had literally hundreds of massages in my life, been a massage therapist for almost 20 years, and owned a small day spa for 11 years. In all my time in the field of bodywork, I’ve never had such a horrible experiance at a «healing» establishment. The interior of the building is dark, dirty, and unprofessional. The floor of the bathroom was dirty, and strewn with garbage… literally! No toilet seat covers, no paper towels, and very little toilet paper. You’d think all of this would have been enough to make me walk away, but I thought, well, it’s a fairly new business… I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. On to the massage table. Dirty sheets, smelly pillows, dirty «blanket» they barely covered me with, and a «massage therapist» that had no idea in the world what she was doing. Throughout the massage, phones were ringing at the desk, other massage therapists personal phones, and loud conversations being held… all during this so-​called «bodywork». Halfway through the session, they finally turned on some music, which was drowned out by the loud conversation that continued. About 30 min. into this, I could no longer handle this… all I could think about was how can I get out of here quickly, and try and explain why I’m leaving. The women that worked there BARELY spoke any English, so it was very uncomfortable trying to explain why I was leaving. I didn’t want to leave without paying SOMETHING (it was $ 40.00, for an hour and a half massage… you get what you pay for, in this case…), so I quickly got up… got my clothes on, said I wasn’t feeling well… and gave them $ 20.00.
I really wanted to like this place… I have had very good luck with the «Foot Reflexology» places that have been opening up all over Orange County, but this one is truly HORRIFIC! It will be interesting to see how long it stays in business if it keeps up this kind of practice. There are so many awesome, professional places in the area…
