Pacific Edge Bait & Tackle

I’ve had bait tanks built and basically bought everything I need for fishing from Mark. I would not go anywhere else. Mark and his wife have made fishing better for my family for years!

ok so i went there and the guy was an a$*hole right when i walked in then i went to get a bait tank and then he asked what kind of boat i had and profiled me. he got excited when he found out what kind of boat i had. He tried to make me pay 900 $ i think he’s on crack so i was like wow thats expensive then he ignored me and walked away. thanks for the help losers

I have a striper center console with a factory tank. my bait usually only lasted till noon. I finally decided to go with a different tank, I purchased the 43 gallon from Mark and installed it. I have been on a couple trips this year and it was one of those (why didn’t I do this sooner) moments! Tank works so well I wish I wouldn’t have killed all that bait in the old tank for so many years. Thanks Mark and crew

wow… so I really don’t like writing reviews so the fact that I’m wasting the time to write this now means something is not right. I just moved to the Huntington harbor area and am a new private boater. I happened to come across a fascinating book about learning how to be a more successful fisherman, better yet the author owned the tackle store right up the street! I was really excited to go in and pick his brain with a bunch of questions in mind and look into getting a new leaning post with live well. The excitement turned very quickly into disappointment as it turned out that the owner Mark (also said author of the book) wouldn’t give me the time of day. He was more interested sorting through eyelets. So much so that he made me feel stupid and inconvenient for asking questions and made it really uncomfortable to even be in the store. I’ve been fishing all my life and have spent countless hours and dollars in various tackle shops but I’ve never been made to feel like shit for asking a simple question (even though it says numerous times in HIS book to talk to your local tackle shop and get local knowledge and also to stop by Pacific edge specifically) So if you want to be talked down to and made to feel like shit by all means come on down to Pacific edge where they can definitely meet those needs. As for fishing advice I wouldn’t know, I wasn’t given any. I hate that I’m writing because as a local small business owner myself I regularly would never but damn cmon man…

I’ve been coming to this mom and pop shop since I was a child. The owners are very friendly and they are always there to offer advice. And their prices are better than most places.

I’ve known who Mark Wisch was for quite some time having read his books and attended several fishing lectures at Fred Hall, etc. I had the opportunity to have him work on my boat recently and was totally impressed with his effort. Since he replumbed our bait system we have had no issues with bait of any size. Mark was on time, on budget and the work was uniformly excellent.
