Purple Haze Smoke Shop

I enjoyed my first visit coming to this smoke shop. Came in with my girlfriend to simply «window shop» for some of their tobacco pieces and even though it was nearly closing, the gentlemen worker was very attentive, helpful with his comments and personal choices on the swishers and wraps. he was very attractive & his customer service was chill. He eventually persuaded us to try some new wraps which my girlfriend and I have not tried… THEY WERE GOOD CHOICES! try this place out guys, they have interested glass pieces and great deals some of them too!

When I went into the atore they had alot of options and great deals on glass peices. Sam helped me out and and answered alot of my questions and was happy to do it. Defintly making purple haze my go to place.

Went there on a Sunday and there was a chill dude there who helped me out. He even kept his composure when two people came in and rudely interrupted him helping me find what I was looking for. After the assholes left he went right back to helping me and I ended up getting a very nice piece.

Came in today to buy a small glass pipe. As I walked in the employee was on the phone with what sounded like a girlfriend because he said, «babe gotta go I’ll call you back love you» and hung up. He is tall with shoulder length hair and a hat possibly in his 20’s. He greeted me and seemed nice at first. Found a pipe I wanted and when it came down to paying I asked if he accepted DEBIT because I had forgotten my card at home so I had my wife’s (whom was in the car). He said they do accept debit so I handed him my wife’s card. Then he asked for ID. I said oh it’s DEBIT. He said yeah but they have to check ID for debit… I was like, «that’s weird, I’ve never heard of being asked for ID for DEBIT. I know my wife’s PIN number and she’s letting me use her card.» He said, «well It’s company policy we have to check ID and they have to match.» I gave my ID and said its my wife’s card we have the same last name and again I stated that was weird and he got offended and said, «well sorry I don’t make the rules here, but you’re the first person in 3 years to say it’s weird» very rudely. I said «well I’ll go get my wife’s ID then she’s in the car,» he said no whatever that’s fine and huffed and puffed as he slid the card. He then showed me on the screen that I had to sign? I said «uhhhh that’s not DEBIT, that’s CREDIT. That’s probably why you asked me for ID, I think you’re mistaking CREDIT for DEBIT. With DEBIT I only have to enter a PIN» he then said ‚” whatever just sign it” huffing and puffing and I went OK and he wrapped up my piece and gave it back to me. As I was walking out he very sarcastically said, «I’ll call the owner right now and let him know his company policy is WEIRD». How unprofessionally childish and from what I’ve read on others 1 star reviews here, it seems like it’s the same guy! Wish I knew his name. IF THE OWNER IS READING THIS, WHY DO YOU HIRE PEOPLE LIKE THIS? Have people that are not gonna push away business. I might return if there’s a staff change.

This week I went here to shop around for an item at all of the local shops and I came here around 9pm. I guess they were closed because I didn’t check the store hours before I came I just tried to open the doors and it was locked but the person working at the time came to the front to open it to let me in. He asked «What are you looking for and are you actually going to buy anything?» I felt unwelcomed and strange because this same guy had given me a good deal on a piece before and now was acting this way. He showed me their selection and when I walked out without getting anything I liked, he asked «So whats the problem?» I told him there was nothing I liked and he gave me an attitude the entire time and even when I was browsing the store, he was saying out loud that he should have been out a long time ago. I didn’t know they were closed, but he didn’t have to come back to open the door for me if he was going to give me this kind of an attitude. I used to come here to buy small items but now I will never come back and I’ll stick to the other local shops with a better selection (and better priced) and better customer service.

Beware this place sells Chinese knock offs at a 200−300% mark up. They do not know that much about glass and seem more interested in flirting with girls than doing their job. Left here annoyed and without a piece.

This spot is an excellent smoke shop. Great selection and I loved how the guy would throw a pipe on the glass counter and it wouldn’t chip or shatter!

Josh C. Yeah that sounds like the same kid that was forcing stuff on me too. Luckily his shift was over and the replacement salesman was mellow and didn’t force us to buy anything. I wish I knew the kid’s name who was so annoying. I’d report him to the manager if you go back there.

AWESOME PLACE! came in & was helped immediately. very nice, bought a pipe & have me screens for free & a cyclone to try out. have awesome deal. I’d recommend this place to anyone! huge selection. they rock

Came in to just browse bongs, but ended up walking out with a new bong that was out of my targeted price range, LOL. I didn’t like that most, if not all things didn’t have a visible price tag. First sign that this shop was gonna be overpriced.
Moto was really helpful and let us try out a few different bongs. We gave him a price range and he let us know what options we had. We were interested in getting a bong with a honeycomb but it was way out of our price range. We tried one that was $ 130 and Moto gave us a huge discount to accommodate us.
He also gave us a little bit of free hemp wick to try.
Overall, this shop is okay… has a wide variety of things but the rating is mainly for Moto. He was super helpful and friendly. If it weren’t for him, we wouldn’t have bought the bong.

I love this place. They have amazing prices on most of the stuff in the store, typically even undercutting the internet as far as pipes/​bongs/​vapes/​hookahs (and they don’t sell plastic pieces of shit). I’ve been here several times and the salespeople have always been very helpful and friendly, and they seem to know pretty much everything about their products. I have never regretted a single purchase here in the slightest.

I am new to Huntington Beach and needed to find some good glass. Purple Haze happens to be right across the street. When I walked in I was automatically greeted with a hello. I was going in to look at vape’s and the employee, CJ knew his stuff and educated me on what each one does. Once I finally looked through everything he hooked it up with the price! I am so glad I found this place. I have been going back whenever I need new glass or have any questions and these guys are always here to help!

So I just moved to hunting beach and I stopped in the shop for some papers and this dude named Moto hooked it up!
They have a 10−50% off deal on every waterpipe in the entire store. Nice! My wife was with me and she picked out something she liked and we got 30% off, some little frit disc oil rig. We like it a lot. Moto really hooked us up. Gave us some tickets for a raffle they’re doing on Fridays or something. I don’t know, I’ll check it out.

The guys here are friendly and knowledgeable. Any questions I had were answered and provided me the ability to make an informed purchase I was happy with. Their prices are competitive and in most cases a better value than other shops I’ve been to. I will be returning in the future.

All I can say — Is these guys hooooook ittt upppp on E-​juices.

Went in to look at grinders and the guy (one with shoulder length hair) seemed very nice at first. He asked me my price range then showed me 2. The first one was very low quality with metal shavings from the factory still and no polish to it. The second one was fine except it was small and over priced. I told the guy I was gonna hold off and wait. He asked me why and I didn’t want to be rude and bash their product so I said I saw one on the internet for cheaper (first thing that came to mind when he put me on the spot). He huffed and puffed and put the 2 grinders back on the shelf and started walking back to the back room where he was when I first walked in.
While walking to the back he asked me (not even bothering to break stride and look at me) with an attitude, like I was bugging him for even coming in, if there was anything else I needed. I mentioned a filter and I asked about the price. He then said with a very rude passive aggressive tone, «why bother you can get it on the internet cheaper» I was kinda shocked at how rude he was being. I’ve never been spoken to so rudely by someone who’s job it is to sell you something. I said uhh ok, not really knowing what to say. I never did get the actual price. Then he asked if there was anything else and I asked about ash catchers and he said with the same attitude, «why you can get those on the internet too». At this point I’m just like screw this guy but I’m not gonna be rude back to him so I said you seem pretty busy I’ll come back some other time and told him to have a nice day then left.
I understand that everything is probably cheaper online but I, like many people prefer to shop for certain things in person. Especially glassware. I am also willing to pay a bit more in store to get it right then and there. I also live right around the corner from the shop and whenever I have parties I send people over there for supplies. After this I will probably never set foot in that place again. If you run a shop you are supposed to make the customer leave happy even if they don’t buy anything. Not be an ass because they didn’t. Just because I wasn’t going to buy the grinder from there doesn’t mean I wouldn’t have bought something else in the future. But after my run in with this guy I or any of my friends won’t be back. I and everyone that asks me will be taking our business to one stop down the street.
PS. If you are a girl you will probably not have anything but a good experience with this guy. My friends told me that one time they were in there he was helping 2 girls being very nice and everything then as soon as they left he was rude to my male friends. Now after seeing it in person there is definitely a pattern with this guy and if I were the owner he’d be out on his ass.

You know it’s a good day in SoCal when you have great customer service in 2 new specialty stores. Purple Haze had a fantastic sale today and the young man assisting us was helpful and knowledgeable.

Went in with a coworker to look at the vape options. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and eager to assist with any question we had. They had a large selection of juices and their prices where great.
I will definitely come in again.

Came here as an ecig novice. The guys that have helped me are always very nice. Super helpful. Usually go there now for vapor liquid and when I do I’m always treated very well.
