Seacliff Liquor & Deli

I’ve been going here for over 20 years. Jose is good people… The new Pakistani owner fired all of the really nice old guys who worked the day shift. Jose seems to work 7 days a week open to close, as he has been there every time I go in. The sandwiches are great, but over priced. Love the deli, and they do a great job… They have some old looking pizza sitting around now, kinda weird. Ok, now here is my gripe… There are no prices on the craft beer. Some of the beer is extremely over priced, some of the IPAs are old and they are still selling Christmas beer in mid April. Be careful and look at the born on date. I don’t buy groceries here, if they sell old beer, who knows what else is expired. If the owner got rid of Jose, I’d probably not ever go there.

Jose is the best! Best place to get food, drinks and everything in between! We walk here … It’s quick and convenient.

They most friendliest people! Great place, clean and will make you what you want. Always get the turkey avacado bacon on sourdough… the bestest!

I love the customer service! And the selection of alcohol is amazing!!! The alcohol is cheaper than the Local supermarket (albertsons).

The sandwiches are amazing and Jose is always extremely pleasant and helpful! My boyfriend and I frequently hit up 17^th for lunch as we live very close by. No complaints, here! Give Jose a raise! :)

The summer salad /​cucumber salad is unbelievable tried to duplicate it at home but not even close, vinegar and olive oil … I don’t know how they do it but they do it and the sandwiches are great too !!! Been going there for about 30 years exactly the same !!!

I’ve been going here for years. There is a new owner now, and they’ve revamped the inside.
I go there for the Deli. The cucumber/​tomato salad is really good. A decent selection of sandwiches, and they always have a daily special.
The people who work back there are super friendly, kind, and sweet. Some have been there years. I wish more peeps would leave tips.
They have a nice selection of items.

We love this place! Moved here 18 months ago and took us awhile to find this place just down the street. They have a little bit of everything and a LOT of others. Tito’s may be a few dollars more here but we pay it because it’s a local business and because Jose is outstanding! He makes every person feel welcome and like a friend. Really makes me feel like a neighborhood place I frequented growing up. The deli is fantastic and reasonable. The fella behind the counter is super nice. Sorry I don’t know his name — yet. There are several other markets and liquor places close by but this is our pick!

First time here, the cashier was irritated by something or maybe its just his personality, but he came off as rude and I did not feel welcome coming in. However, there was this cute and very friendly promotion girl there for sky vodka who gave me some cool things for buying a bottle. Made the experience much better for me.
There’s also this Boar’s Head deli in the back that’s makes some good food for not so whole lot of cash. I bought their 6″ sandwich for 5 bucks and it was better than any subway I’ve had. Good job.

So not feeling to on top of the world this morning. So glad for sea cliff deli. The ladies there are super nice and prompt.
Each time I go I love the breakfast burrito and coffee special. A good size burrito with sausage, ham or bacon. It’s filling but not to where you feel like your going to explode. Killer deal, by the beach and all you’ll need from a liquor store. The liquor store section has been going threw a remodel and looks great.

This place has really good deli sandwiches. I didn’t expect it looking from the outside, but I was very impressed!
Also the guys that work there are super cool

The nicest people ever!!! Always friendly and happy. If you’re looking for a great sandwich, there’s a deli in the back. They use Boar’s Head meat and cheese (the good stuff), too! The veggie sandwich on rye bread is usually what I get! Fantastic corner store (:

This place is perfect and convenient when you don’t feel like going to the grocery store. It’s under a new ownership, they renovated the store, cleaned up the look and everyone in there has always been so nice. I love the deli it’s a quick easy stop to pick up some food when you’re hungry.

Jose is just awesome. + The breakfast burritos are the cherry on top to a good morning (and I don’t even mind the bloat I get after. It’s all worth it)

Jose, whatever they’re paying you, they need to triple it. I mean it. There’s a liquor store down the street that also makes good sandwiches, but the costumer service you provide between the two is night and day.
You greet every single person like a friend; old & young, poor and rich alike, doesn’t matter. Makes me feel very welcome. Very valuable asset. If he’s having a bad day you’d never know it. He could sell me a beer and a sandwich or a Ferrari and I’d buy that shit up just the same. He’s just good at what he does.

Been going here since hs. Cool relaxing spot, good fresh made sandwiches and a variety of salads and good chilli.

This is a great little liquor store for FRIENDLY, HELPFUL service. I feel like they really care here — and that is refreshing. How much time does one really spend in a liquor store? Run in — run out — it’s convenient. But to leave this place always feeling like you matter is worth taking your business to.
Why run in to a business and lay down your hard earned bills just to be grunted at and have no eye contact? You won’t have to if you stop in here.
Nice selection, clean, and friendly. A huge win.

Jose is the man, and the deli always delivers. Been frequenting Seacliff Liquor and Deli for 15 years. Can find almost anything you want there, and you get to people watch and see some odd characters cruising in and out. Always a good time. As Jose would say, «Party like a Rockstar brother»!

I’m leaving this review at 3 stars as I update it, and that is only because of Jose. I will never come here when he is not working again. I usually go at night to this liquor store to grab a snack or drink, because it’s very close to home. However, I went in the morning just now and the white guy working was so incredibly rude to me! I have never experienced anything but great service here so I was absolutely shocked at his tone and disregard. I wanted to take one item off my total, and he got all upset and said he can’t just «void» things… I hadn’t paid yet! I’m sure Jose would have happily done it. I guess since Jose is so friendly and great I expect better from this place.
Old review: The guy who is ALWAYS working late at night is so nice, my boyfriend and I live in the neighborhood and he is always so friendly. Glad to have a mom and pops store so close.

Nothing better than coming in the evening and getting Gyro meat and Hummus to go. Then heading back to the house and having a picnic in the living room while watching a movie.
Buy extra pita bread, get some of the red chili paste for the Hummus. Gives it a nice kick.
Just don’t get there to late. It sales out regularly. If it does, call down to Surf City liquor & deli on Main St. These guys know each other and sometimes they still have some.
