Not only is Lori an extremely knowledgeable esthetician that works skincare miracles, she is a kind and positive soul. She was working in Huntington Beach (10mins from my house) and I have followed her to where she now works in Los Al — she’s worth it :). After a visit with Lori, I love that I always leave feeling happy and refreshed. The process only takes around 30min and includes a cleansing, extractions, and the dermabrasion itself. After this, Lori covers your skin with hydrating nutrients and infuses oxygen into your pores. She follows the infusion with serums and treatments. And it feels amazing!
I have been getting dermabrasions with Lori for over a year now and I can honestly say I am so pleased with how far my skin has came. Before Lori, I was doing monthly facials at Burke Williams as a member. These facials were fancy and nice, but I wasn’t seeing any results. After a visit with Lori, my skin is a little red, but I can immediately see the difference. The next day, the redness is gone and my skin is even, glowing, smooth, and youthful!!! Yeah, I said it. Lori is better than Burke Williams.
I have a hectic life, I balance a full time school nursing program and working part time… I practice good hygiene (washing my hands before I wash my face, changing my pillow case every night, etc), eat healthy, drink lots of water, and get as much fresh air, sunshine (with sunblock!), and exercise as possible. Still the acne comes. I don’t manage stress as well as others and I believe this manifests as acne on my face and worsens from time to time. Lori’s dermabrasions are the only thing that have been able to clear my skin, and for that I am so thankful.
I have struggled with acne since 2005 and have tried everything: salicylic acid and benzyl peroxide face washes and creams, thousands of dollars worth of different types of facials and peels at multiple spas, birth control pills (which I am still on), oral and topical antibiotics, every mask product from Sephora you can think of, Proactiv, and once I even had a chemical peel done by a physician’s assistant… you know, the kind that turns your entire face into a scab… Had to stay inside for two weeks. Finally, I found Lori!!! I highly recommend her!

I found Lori over a year ago feeling so helpless about my skin. I tried everything there was to try and swore nothing worked! Lori hasn’t only gotten rid of my acne but also fixed my hyper pigmentation and scaring! My skin is fresh and radiant after every service and I barely wear makeup anymore. She’s also give all her clients tips on makeup that won’t clog your pores and what foods you should be eating to make your skin glow. She’s the best!!!

Let me start off by saying… I’ve tried everything and finally found a treatment that works! Used everything I could possibly find at Sephora and nothing seemed to work. I went to Dermatologist and also took medications.
Each session costs $ 100 per micoderm and around $ 400 for the products. I’ve been visiting Lori since end of November 2015 and started noticing my acne scars fading, less clogged pores and smoother complexion! This process requires patience AND your skin get worse before it gets better so hang in there!
I had a lot of clogged pores/​small bumps and redness which was visible during the day (I wanted to hide from the world). I wore liquid/​powder daily to cover up my acne and now I barely wear any makeup! My coworkers, friends, mom and boyfriend have noticed that my skin has drastically changed. YAYYYY!
1: Visited Lori for 6 weeks straight (so plan ahead) — each session is about 30 minutes — extractions then 2 layers of micro. Lori then applies products and mentions to drink lots of water and to not wash your face until the next morning
2. Purchased products provided by Lori — (Toner, Acne Gel, Pigment Gel, C-​quench, rejuvenating serum and moisturizer/​sunblock)
3. After 6 weeks, I started going every other week
4. Acne reduced significantly so it was time for a peel ($ 165) includes peel and microderm
I stuck it out for a couple months, following Lori’s regimen and also eating healthy and drinking lots of water! I can finally say that I’ve found a treatment that works on my skin. Just stick it out with Lori and your acne will improve! Worth every penny. THANK YOU LORI!

Thank God for Lori! Lets just say Lori was my last stop before resorting to Accutane… that’s how bad my skin WAS! For 3 years I dealt with relentless cystic acne and tried what seemed to be every acne product imaginable with no positive results. I felt incredibly discouraged and really thought that harsh chemicals and drugs would be the only solution to my problem until I met Lori. I have pretty tricky skin and very sensitive to a lot of products. Lori has been able to work her wonders. I love her microdermabrasion’s and the oxygen facials. I started getting a lot of breakouts in my 30’s and sunspots. With Lori doing the micro’s and chemical peels my skin has been looking so much better. I highly recommend her ! Where do I start! I used to see Lori years ago when she was working with a dermatologist is Los Al I was a teen and had tried everything under the sun to clear up my cystic acne, she was my last resort. After my 6 week regimen of micros and peels my skin was INSANE!!! Glowing, no more acne, just very little scarring from years of me picking my face. I’ve gone to Lori for a few micros and a peel she is so knowledgable about skin care and was trained by a doctor so your getting the same quality skin care as a doctors office. She gets straight to the point and is NOT giving you a fu fu facial she does the stuff that matters which I love ! MY BACKGROUND:
Okay. Rewind a solid 5 years back, I had a horrific skin reaction to a regretted facial that I got from a spa that no longer exists for obvious reasons. This initiated my ongoing struggle with acne and ever so desperate search for a permanent solution. I’ve seen a handful of doctors/​estheticians/​dermatologists and done brutal sessions of extractions, cleanses, every sort of facial possible, tried topical and oral meds — HOPELESS. After much research, my next options were microdermabrasions, peels, or laser (last resort).
I juggle an extremely busy schedule, so stress follows me like a shadow. To counter this, I live an active lifestyle (yoga & gym) and eat extremely healthy on the regular. With years of learning about my skin, I’d go months with decent, clear skin, then BAM! A couple months back, my skin hit a low point after going strong for so long since my first incident. :(My closest girlfriends were on the look out for me with recommendations. Luckily, one of them (THANK YOU DARI) brought Skincare by Lori to my attention, and that’s when I discovered so many girls I actually knew have gone to Lori themselves. Seeing how flawless my friends’ complexions have improved, I figured I’d finally give microderms a try.
MY EXPERIENCE:
Lori specializes in microdermabasions and peels. She put me on a resilient 6 weeks of micros, and my gosh… All my redness and bad acne started disappearing. THANK YOU LORI! Months later today, I don’t break out like I did prior and make up has never applied so smoothly on me! My complexion is smooth enough again to not feel the need to hide. Seeing how way more effective her micros are compared to my old monthly facials, I’ve made visiting Lori monthly a part of my routine. Ladies, you are supposed to be taking care of yourself with monthly facials, so might as well get a micro with Lori instead for the same price ($ 100). It’s more effective, the process only takes about 30 minutes, and you can actually wear make up the day after (overnight recovery time, yay!). I used to not be able to go out the day after my old facial/​extraction sessions, so this won me over.
Honestly, the microderms aren’t fun, but there’s nothing positive about acne until it’s gone. The micros involve crystals that exfoliate and remove layers of dead skin to grant quicker rejuvenation and better absorption of any topical serums. It feels like someone rubbing sand paper on your skin, which isn’t painful. The micros also help fade your scars and shrink your pores. What else to expect? Lori starts with (1) extractions, (2) performs a micro on your face, (3) then lathers your skin with magic — No, but seriously, she leaves you finished with rich vitamins and nourishing products that you’re supposed to sleep with on.
Since everyones’ skin needs to be specially catered, Lori will guide you in what regimen your skin type needs. She’ll customize your treatments based on how your skin reacts. Some faces will get momentarily worse before it gets better mainly because of whatever products you’ve been applying prior to seeing Lori. My skin got worse initially as it was reacting to the new treatments while counteracting the endless list of medications I’ve applied over the years prior to Lori (no surprise). By my third micro, I saw my face quickly improving and knew it was only going to consistently get better. Ultimately, by the end of the 6 weeks, you’ll see a MAJOR difference as your skin regains its natural glow. Again, THANK YOU LORI! :)
