Joe! Dude! You Rock! You fixed my gutters before El Nino hits. thank you so much. My gutters were falling off and about to slide into the Orange County sewer… but you saved ‘em. Thank you kindly! Great work! Great price! I like the ideas you had for our home remodel and room additions too. My wife and I are discussing those.

Joe and his team are as good as it gets. I hired Joe on several occassions. He has a no-​nonsense approach which I appreciate and he is straight up on what it will take to get the job done right the first time. His work order estimates and contracts are detailed and accurate. Joe and his team arrive at the job site when promised and clean up the worksite when wrapping up for the day. The crew is professional in behavior and take pride in thier work. When an new issue comes up at my rental properties I can call Joe, get an immediate response, an accurate estimate, and I can approve the work on the phone knowing with confidence that Joe and his team will make it happen and get the job done right. This is a huge relief as I am a very busy making money and frequently on business travel. As an investment property owner and manager, I have many choices on service vendors — Joe is my first call.

I had a small bathroom upgrade that included replacing the toilet and shower door as well as some of the sink, shower and wall fixtures and the lighting. Joe and his crew were clean and helpful throughout the process. He also repaired our aging Wanda patio umbrella. All in all my wife and are very pleased and will reschedule Joe to do some additional upgrades.

I called and Joe came out a few days later to do an estimate on numerous things we wanted to do to our condo. We were very impressed with him and his thoughts on our projects, but we never got an estimate back. His wife Carol even emailed us back to apologize for it being more that 2 weeks since we were promised an estimate, and I emailed back to let her know that we really would love to start soon but that we could be patient if he has another job. No estimate/​response ever came. Big time miss on their part, as we really wanted to build a relationship for a lot more work in the future.

I used Joe several months ago for some sprinkler work in our yard. He did a great job… completely changed our sprinkler locations and made our system more efficient.
Then in January we had a slab leak. Yikes! I called Joe knowing he was a licensed general contractor and he came to the rescue. After the water restoration company finished ripping out drywall and a vanity due to mold, and after the pipe restoration company finished the pipes, Joe started to repair the mess. The limestone shower and floor in one bathroom had to be removed due to water damage.
I highly recommend Joe. He has an excellent knowledge of construction. He is reliable… if he says he is going to do something, he does it. He’s a perfectionist. That made me really happy because I knew everything would be done perfectly.
He is on time every day. He communicates what is happening and what the plan is. He is neat and tidy. Everything was covered with protective plastic and/​or cardboard. He never left without cleaning up any mess from the day’s work. He has excellent sub-​contractors. The company he uses for marble and stone work is excellent as is the drywall contractor.
Over the years I’ve worked with contractors and some were good but most were less than satisfactory to terrible. I can honestly say I would not hesitate to call Joe for any construction needs or handyman services. He is just so much more than a handyman. He is also great with landscaping and hardscaping.

Called them twice and left two messages. Never called me back. Apparently they are so busy that they don’t need the business.

A couple weeks back, I had Joe come out to give me an estimate for a few minor projects around the house. My wife and I decided to proceed on two of those projects: replace two exterior lights with motion sensor lights and replace the mortar on an exterior firepit. I called and got Joe to come out within a few days. He and Jesus were here on time and they finished the work in four hours. I felt the price was fair and I found Joe and Jesus to be knowledgeable and personable. I am definitely giving Joe a crack at future work on the house.

I never actually used them because they never called me back. I met Joe while he was doing work at my sister’s house. I told him I needed work done at my place too, and he gave me his card. He didn’t mention at that time I was out of his service area. But when I called, I got the distinct feeling that my project was too small for them to travel from HB to Irvine. The woman I spoke to said she’d check to see if someone could come out and asked if I was available for a phone call that afternoon. I said I was. Well, the afternoon came and went – and so did 4 additional days – and still no call. It would have been nice to have received a call back informing me my project was not worth their time. 2 stars because my sister liked their work, otherwise it would have been 1 for the lack of service after determining you are not their target customer.

Joe and Carol, thank you for all of your help and for being awesome! My wife and I wanted to upgrade our kitchen recently, so we called SoCal Mr. Fix It based on the reviews that I read here. Carol was great on the phone and did her best to schedule an estimate at my earliest convenience. My schedule is pretty hectic, so there was a small window available for her husband to visit our home. When we finally scheduled an appoinment, Joe arrived early and was very friendly. In fact, our Chihuahua loved him, and our Chihuahua does not easily warm up to new people. Oddly, our Chihuahua would not leave Joe’s side, and Joe gave our dog plenty of attention in between measuring our kitchen walls and writing things on his notepad. When Joe left, our dog sat by the door and whined for a few minutes and then would not leave the door for several minutes after. This was definitely a good sign that Joe was someone that we could trust. Lol.
The kitchen project took four days. He had to fix some drywall, apply new paint, install new cabinet hardware, and backsplash. While having people working in your kitchen for four days is not always fun, Joe was very considerate of our home. He covered our floors every morning and cleaned all work areas at the end of every day. He is also really fun to have conversations with. He is just a great and friendly guy. The kitchen looks great, and we are already creating another list of projects for Joe to complete in the near future.
I cannot speak much about pricing because I did not bother to compare prices with other businesses. I did not care to get other estimates. My experiences on the phone with Carol and in-​person with Joe was enough to hire him for the job. After our first meeting, I felt that I could trust them, and I did not care about price or shopping around. Heck, our Chihuahua loves Joe, and that is saying a lot.

Joe and Carol are an amazing team. They are honest, reliable, and genuinely good people.
I recently had a property in escrow that needed to make some repairs before closing. I was fortunate enough to find them on Unilocal,and gave them a call. Communication was a breeze and Carol scheduled Joe to come for a price quote and estimate. Joe went above and beyond from the very beginning, providing multiple options for some fixes for different budgets. The quote was extremely fair and the work quality was top notch. He even suggested a small additional fix that he provided free of charge, I don’t know any other contractor that would bother to do that.
I will be definitely be using these guys again for all of my contractor/​handyman needs in the future.

I am brand new to the area and needed a handyman to finish some work that was left undone after some remodeling. I got on Unilocal,found SoCal Mr. Fix It (Joe) as well as a few others and made some calls.
Joe’s wife Carol was great to work with over the phone & email to coordinate the work that needed to be done. She was professional, reachable and sweet! This is something that can’t be said about any of the other contractors/​handymen I called.
Joe was able to squeeze in some time before a job the very next day to give us a quote.
I will definitely use them the next time I need something worked on. :)

I’ve been in the cleaning and restoration business for several years and I’ve encountered hundreds of contractors. Some good, some bad, and some just plain evil! Others have no clue or are just lazy.
Joe on the other hand is our knight in shining armor. I could only speak about his character and his reliability since he didn’t actually perform any work for me but my clients all rave about him and his work. Theirs no doubt will I call upon him and his crew to repair my home or heaven forbid my wife wrecks our garbage disposal again. Thanks Joe!

We needed a termite infested patio cover removed. Unfortunately we lost our old handyman so turned to Unilocal for some help. As usual, great call! From our first phone call to the office — spoke with Joe’s lovely wife — to our first meeting to get a bid, to the end of the job, everything went great. Joe gave us a fair price for the job so we scheduled it a few days later. Couldn’t be happier with the results. All materials were hauled away, they cleaned up the yard, filled in the holes with cement. Just great folks who are professional, skilled and easy to deal with. Will bring them back for more jobs! I would use them for anything from basic handyman stuff to larger projects. No job seems too small or too big for them. Really a great experience top to bottom.

I saw all the great reviews for Mr. Fix it so I thought I’d give him a try and I am so glad I did! Carol (Joe’s wife) answered the phone and was so pleasant to talk to while I explained my electrical problem. As it worked out for me Mr. Fix it was able to come out the same day and fixed my problem quickly and efficiently. Very reasonably priced! I will definitely use Mr fix it over and over again!

Joe from SoCal Mr. Fix It came on a short notice and helped with some Drywall repair. His prices were very reasonable, and he did an excellent job! I would call again for future jobs!

I had a new ceiling fan installed by these folks. Everything worked out great.
First off, Carol, answered all of my questions I had, and arranged my appointment. She was very kind and helpful, and the appointment was set for the next day.
Mr Fix It came and removed the old fan, assembled the new one, installed it, and repaired the wiring on the light switch.
The work was quality. No issues. It was done promptly. The hourly rate is very reasonable, and he was also very friendly, and I felt comfortable having him work in my home. Even though this was during a heatwave, and it was 90 degrees and I have no AC in my home, he was still pleasant and didn’t seem to mind.
Without a doubt, next time I need a handyman, I will be giving them a call again.

Very promptly replies to email. Carol in the front is very responsive. Gave me a very fair estimate of work I needed done on a rental property. I decided to cut out some of the tasks that I could do myself. They had no problem with revising the estimate. He arrived promptly, and finished all the work on time. No overage costs or unexpected surprises. I was very pleased, and will call Joe again!

A funny thing happened on the way to watch a movie the other night… my power suddenly went out. Two thirds of the house was pitch black and with 3 young kids that doesn’t bode well. So the next day I hired a local electrician to come out and fix the problem.
In order to look at the power line he had to climb up on our patio roof. And it is old so it had sags in it… sooooo…guess what happened? His left leg went right through the tiles and almost through the stucco ceiling. Not real bright. Good news is he located the problem on the City side of the electric pole so he called them out and in an hour the electricity was back on. But… he still charged us for the inspection and offered nothing towards our broken roof.
So now one problem is fixed but I have anorther one… a hole in my patio roof and ran was (of course) forecasted for the following night… so I called a friend and was referred to SoCal Mr Fix it.
Joe called and scheduled a time for the next morning. In the meantime another company whom my wife had called showed up and wanted a couple grand to fix the problem. Of course the problem itself couldn’t be fixed they wanted to replace the entire roof, Maybe one day but not right now. Too expensive. Sorry, you’re outta here.
When Joe showed up the next morning it was sprinkling but he was quick to provide a great temporary solution for under a hundred bucks and within the hour had it fixed. Let it rain baby! And it did!
I love this guy. He did an awesome job and even gave us some great insight on how to fix the problem for good for a few hundred bucks as opposed to thousands.
