I love this shop. I have consigned furniture here and was treated well as a seller, and I have also purchased one-​of-​a-​kind refurbished/​artsy furniture here as well. Love this place, and love the ownership. Great place to find unique gifts also.

Moving into a new house thousands of miles from my hometown was a daunting experience. Everything had to be painted, since the previous owners were a big fan of the color brown. Being that it was so far away, we had little to no furniture when we moved in. Rather than fill the space with items that we picked up at a big brand store, we really wanted at least some stuff that had a little more character.
Inside Sparrow’s Nest you’ll find high quality items to add a little pizzazz to even the most boring of rooms. If you don’t mind picking up a power sander, they have wooden pieces that have «good bones» that you can sand down and re-​paint to match your room. There are also services advertised through the store if you don’t have the time to sand it yourself. They can refinish or paint the stuff for you! Personally, I think it’s more fun to do it yourself. Many of the items are already finished and painted in a colorful and beautiful way. The prices are incredibly fair, and the owners are willing to work with you (especially if you’re buying multiple items).
Another cool thing to get here are the decorations. They have stuff that you won’t find anywhere else, like antiques and wall hangings to spruce up your walls. Just the other day I picked up an old washboard from the early 1900s to hang in my laundry room. I figured that seeing how we used to wash our clothes would discourage me from complaining about doing laundry in our top-​of-​the-​line washer that plays music when the load is done.
The items in the store are clean and well distributed. I never leave the store with that «ick» feeling that you may get at a garage sale or a thrift store. There is also a constant influx of items which leads to great sales, and a new supply of stuff to browse even a week or two after your last visit. Bonus: it’s locally owned and operated, so you’re supporting small business and some really nice ladies behind the counter. Enjoy!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Not only have both owners been extremely friendly and welcoming, but this is the cutest store around. I always find the best treasures there and am never disappointed. I love shopping there! I also have consigned with them and feel that they are fair and I appreciate that they pay on time. I highly recommend Sparrow’s Nest!

I don’t even want to give this store one star. I have bought furniture here and it wasn’t cheep. I have tried to sell furniture here and 3 times they said no. The first was a pair of french black cane chairs, very shabby chic. The next was a nativity set from Italy and and this last time today it was a desk I had bought from them to re-​sell it and the same lady with the short blond hair was only going to give me $ 20.00 when I paid $ 80.00 from her. I am totally disappointed in this shop and will NEVER go there again!!!

Nothing but rude. I was greeted upon walking through the door with a glare. Once I set a couple items on the counter she told me she only looks at consignment pieces with an appointment (a change from 2 years ago– how am I to know?). She says she can take a look anyway (2 other people were browsing the store– she was clearly not busy). She dismissed most of my pieces without looking– making me feel like I was crazy to be bringing her antique house items to a consignment store. Maybe she forgot what she owned. I had left some items there a couple years back & upon inquiring about them she seemed to almost roll her eyes & tell me they were probably donated. That’s nice– but I clearly remember the last time I was in checking on my items being told a check was going to be mailed to me for my sold items. I never received that check. Do yourself a favor & steer clear! Not only rude, but a crook!

This place is so awesome! My wife dragged me into this this place for the first time about 6 months ago and I’ve been hooked ever since.
They have so many amazing things that exhibit such unique style. Style that you won’t find in target or walmart! Anything from dressers to jewelry stands to birdcages. They have an awesome selection.
The best part is that Tammy and Lindsay will customize most things in the store for a very reasonable and fair price. Anything from painting to different knobs! They do an awesome job.
If you like stylish, vintage stuff you gotta check out this place. Literally our whole living room is filled with stuff from sparrows nest. Check this place out!

Visiting a friend I decided to do some Christimas shopping and wanted gifts that can’t be bought at the mall. I went into Sparrows Nest after searching thrift stores on Unilocal.This place is wonderful; I found gifts for 3 people on my gift list!

Went here for the first time today and I swear I got whip lash from turning my head to look at all the amazing things here. LOVE everything. I picked up the coolest vintage chair covered in green crushed velvet. I can’t wait to go back!

This shop is so amazing! Lots of wonderful finds for your home. There’s everything from furniture, to art, and jewelry. The store is really organized, and has calming vibe. If you are looking for unique pieces for your home, you have to stop by!

Best not-​so-​little consignment shop in HB! We’ve shopped with the Nest for years and have come away with great finds. It’s such a pleasant shopping experience with owners, Tammy and Lindsay. I just recently visited their new location — it is spacious and fabulous! This is the place for all of your vintage «must haves»!

Tammy and Lindsay are the sweetest shop owners I have ever met. Not only were they incredibly helpful, but their store is spectacular. I adore 50s furniture: formica tables, metal gliders and chairs for the yard, and I am always on the look-​out for wrought iron pieces for the garden. They have it all! And they are constantly re-​stocking with new inventory so every time I go in, there is something new to admire (and buy!) Come visit their new location asap!

This is my favorite consignment shop in the OC area. Tammy sources some amazing pieces for a great price. There is a nice verity of of furniture and decoration. They also have hand painted pieces and chalk paint (the chalk paint here is a better price than pinature in Costa Mesa). The owners are really really helpful too!

Love this place! My wife and I have purchased several items here. This new location is MUCH bigger than the old store which means they have way more room for super cool stuff! The owners and staff are all incredibly helpful and kind!

My mother and I love shopping here. We have numerous items in our house that we have bought over the years ranging from furniture, art, decorations, kitchen ware, a Princess Leia cardboard cut-​out, etc. Not only do we always find fantastic things for our home but we love the owner Tammy too! I’ve only met her new partner once so far but Lindsey seems pretty awesome too! The space feels cozy and is well laid out.
