I’ve eaten here twice now and the service is quick, abrupt and rude. Not sure why I came back the second time, but I did. They make you feel like you are imposing on them by stopping in to grab a sandwich. They just push you through everything very quickly then want to argue with you about this and that when you pay. The sandwich was very average and it was toasted but very lightly. Not toasted like a regular subway would toast it, as my sandwich was just warm. The girl that made my sandwich was Polynesian of some sort and had a nose ring and tattoos and I believe her name is Araceli. This place is just not the friendliest Subway in town. I say that if you don’t enjoy your job and don’t want to be there then move on because it reflects on the business very poorly. I’m giving it two stars and being a bit on the generous side, but I won’t be coming back, ever!!!

I ordered a sandwich, 3 chocolate chip cookies and a small drink. The lady making my sandwich made it exactly to order. The girl cashing me out was extremely rude, and didn’t listen to my full order. She first charged me of my cookies and sandwich. And when she didn’t hand me a drink cup, I asked politely if she forgot to add in the drink. To which she responded«you didn’t tell me.» Excuse me, but yes I did, and even if I hadn’t, you shouldn’t say that to a customer. Also when I got to my car, and looked I had been given the wrong cookies. I don’t know how«chocolate chip» can be confused for«chocolate macadamia nut» I sometimes come to this subway when I’m in the area but I don’t plan on coming back now.

So Araceli makes a weak sandwich I hate to be the one to say bad things about people but seriously my sandwich has about half the normal amount of anything on it. Paying 5 bucks seems a little outrageous for two Pisces of spinach and the smallest tomatoes. I usually am satisfied with the amount of the foods they put on the sandwich but today not so much. And like I’ve reviewed before the bread is dry and crumbly. I don’t know why I let going back.

This review is based on my visit today. The woman working there was very grouchy. She did not want to be there for sure. When I ask for extra toppings she made faces and was clearly irritated ike it was too much for her. I order the coffee which was, see through in color and had no flavor at all. iI went back and had to wait in line to see if I could exchange for it for a Keurig coffee(which btw is advertised) she said it was not working !!! It sure looked operable ! Frankly I think, she didn’t want to bother and was extremely lazy. So I had to get a fountain drink instead of my morning coffee. Not happy about that at all. I will go to a different location on my way to work next time. It’s a shame because this one is the closest to my house

I agree with Kathy! I just bought a sandwich and the worker was super friendly! Maybe the management talked to employees after reading reviews?! Anyway, she was great and the veggies all looked fresh. I used the bathroom, and it was very clean!

This location is awful, seriously. Don’t go here unless you want horrible customer service, burnt cookies, and hard/old bread. The above never fails every time I go to this location, I officially will never step foot in this place again.

Sandwiches weren’t bad but I definitely agree with the bad attitudes of the employees. And the fact that they were closing while I was in there at 8:30pm when they close at 9:30pm rubbed me the wrong way.

I think we have all eaten Subway at one point in time. I dig it, and I have never had an experience like we had here. I will NEVER go back to the Huntington Beach Goldenwest location. The customer service was rude, talked to the counter instead of us. Some of my avocado slipped out when it was being wrapped and she delibertly trew it away instead of adding it back to my sandwich(considereing I paid extra for it). My husband asked for extra pickles and her response was«I allready put 6 on and I can’t put any more on than 6». His reply, «so I can have any other vegi on my sandwish but I can’t have extra pickles». She said no, at which point I address my issue with the trashed avocado. If we were not so hungery we would have left. I filed a complaint with the company and the next day the owner of the Goldenwest store called me. She was also rude, stating that it was too bad we don’t go there regularly, since if we did she would offer us a free sandwich. Customer service does not work that way darlin, you give the free sandwish and if we want to use it that is up to us. No wonder why your franchise sucks, rude is as rude does! I will NEVER set foot in this goldenwest Subway again!

This place is hit or miss, most of the time it’s a miss. Not so friendly sandwich artist who has attitudes. Most of the time the veggies are old and been sitting out all day, still they want to serve you it.

There is nothing worse than walking into Subway ready to eat the cookie you’ve been craving only to have the unfriendly staff tell you they’re closed. If you are closed then please lock your door. By the way, I went in at 9:15 and they shouldn’t be closed until 9:30. Not cool. However, Subway in general is pretty awesome.

Worst Subway experience ever! Staff was not friend, y, heck I couldn’t even hear her over the glass counter. They made my sons sandwich fine, but my whole order was wrong and disgusting. Couldn’t even eat it. Ugh!

Bottom of the barrel as far as subway goes. Granted I did come close to closing time, but the workers barely said a word and I’m not sure they put the right amount of meet on my turkey. A big strike against ‘em as far as I’m concerned.

I LOVE Subway! 6 inch turkey/avo on their Omega-3 bread hits the spot everytime! Staff is friendly and efficient. Double chocolate chip cookies are pretty darn good. YUM YUMmmmmmmmm!!! This location always has convenient parking and they do a great job keeping the place clean. Can’t ask for much more?
