Taken for Granite OC

Angel redid our bathtub before we put the house on the market. The bathtub went from being old and dingy to looking brand new and fabulous! The tub itself was in decent condition; it just had some holes from where the shower doors were screwed in (two sets, since there was an older set of holes hidden!). Angel was able to make all the issues disappear, and we were able to put the house on the market with a sparkling white, clean tub! It looks great!

Outstanding job! We love our new bathroom! We had all the shower, counter tops and tub surround coated with a light gray granite. It was a big switch from our plain white tiles and I was apprehensive, but Angel assured me I would love it and I do. He took utmost care and detail and everything looks perfect. And best of all no more grout lines to worry about. We didn’t think we were going to be able to afford doing all the surfaces, but Angel’s prices were competitive and our money went further. I highly recommend!

A few months back we had Taken for Granite refinish our shower. All I can say is I am more than happy with it. It is so easy to clean, a little Scrubbing Bubbles and a soft brush and WaLa! Angel did something special to the floor so I wouldn’t slip, this was important as I’m still recovering from a brain surgery. My old tan shower is now beautiful white and I love it! I know he could have made it many different colors or even to look like granite, but I love white. He was so easy to work with and his price was less than most! WIN!

Angel did awesome work about a year earlier for me in my commercial-​bathroom… Now, I had him back for my kitchen floor! Angel’s clear-​coat product makes old tile look new and refreshed. It is clean, durable, and the product cannot grow mold! It totally seals in the grout! Angel does a ton of prep-​work to get the floors ready for coating. All-​in all, our floors look as good as new at a fraction of the cost. All Angel’s work is guaranteed. I’ll be looking for another opportunity to use Angel and his granite-​esque product! Highly recommend Taken for Granite if you are looking for an inexpensive shower or tile-​update…

I hired Angel to resurface my kitchen sink and I was so happy with my sink. He did an amazing job and I could tell he takes pride in his work. I called around and Taken for Granite OC was the only company I called that offered a warranty which tells me that he stands behind his work.

Our kitchen counter, sink, bathroom were looking old, tired, worn out. The kitchen countertop tile had scratch marks and light damage; also hairline cracks in the bathtub tile. After researching and pricing new tile, stone, and formica replacement, I was thrilled to discover reglazing by Angel Scott could be done for ½ the price. From my first introduction, I found Angel to be easy to talk to and quite refreshing compared to typical contractors. With all his years of experience with tile and sink reglazing, he is not just a contractor who knows more than you. He is humble and he really strives to explain and help the customer. The first day he worked on our job, I was impressed that he spent more then ¾ of the day doing meticulous preparation work: taping, masking, covering, and doing all that is necessary to assure his reglaze material does not bleed beyond intended areas; it was very tedious. Angel is detail-​oriented, and worked hard to make our project turn out perfect. His work ethic was really appreciated. We had a minor problem when air pressure from his sprayer blew some rockwool through a ceiling hole and it fell directly into the sink he was spraying, leaving marks in the newly reglazed surface. Angel freely offered to return a few days later and take care of the blemish when just the driving might have meant one hour each way. When he was done, our dumpy kitchen and bathroom looked like a whole new place. I chose the colors for the kitchen counter and bathroom, and the bathroom application was an instant winner as soon as it was done. The finished kitchen countertop took me longer to get used to the color but I am pleased with the result now. Just two days ago, a neighbor placed a portable TV on the kitchen countertop, and dragged across the countertop – I tried not to panic. But there is no scratch! The reglaze material dries very hard. I just love having a hard, shiny, and colorful countertop with no stupid grout lines; its so easy to clean up after cooking. Thank you Angel. PS: His girlfriend does more than look good; she worked very hard too; they make a great team. I intend to post some photos as soon as they are ready.

Prior to having Angel work on my bathroom I shopped a number of quotes, and honestly Angel was a little more expensive… but he was the ONLY guy I talked to that actually explained the process, and I felt a lot more comfortable in the end paying more and am glad I did… the end result was phenomenal! Worth every penny! DO NOT go with anybody else!
Totally trustworthy. I left him with my house for 3 days… no problems… super clean and felt really comfortable with the whole process.
If you call around to other guys you might get a cheaper quote, but I promise you it won’t be up to par with Angels work. I can’t say enough good things about The experience. I will be recommending to EVERYONE I know who needs work done!

Angel Scott is fabulous at what he does. He has the eye and imagination of an artist and is a skilled technician.
He took our bathtub/​shower combination unit and our stall shower and totally transformed them!
The day he met us at our home, we knew he was the one to do the job. He does what he says, and he says what he does! We wanted the two bathrooms to have a totally new look. We decided to go from the standard white they had been refinished to about 18 years ago, and go with a much more modern look. We already have blue pearl granite on our bathroom vanity counters. Angel took one look at them and came up with wonderful ideas. He painted our guest bathroom stall shower with a midnight sky granite look and our master bath with a charcoal grey granite look. Both colors compliment our granite counters beautifully. He did a total custom job for us. He even came up with the idea to do a two tone in our bathtub. See pictures below!
He spent several days in our home, took his time to do the job right and never left us without a shower to use. He kept his work area clean and neat, masked the areas off to avoid paint overspray and set up a very energy efficient and low noise fan that we kept running all night to ensure our paint set up properly. He even removed all the old plumbing fixtures (not an easy job at all) for us to make sure all surfaces were painted properly. A first class, unrushed job, for sure!!!
We couldn’t be happier. He is a very nice person and has a love for the work he does. He takes pride in making his customers happy. We found him on Unilocal and had to add him to Angie’s List as well.
I was so happy with the beautiful job Angel did, it brought tears to my eyes. We have been using our showers for two weeks now and I feel like our bathrooms look better than they ever have.

Talk about being committed to excellence in your profession!!! Wow, Angel (the owner) really blew us away with the amazing work he did on our house and the customer service he provided!
Here’s the story: we are selling our 1985 built condo and it needed a SERIOUS makeover before we listed it. I looked into replacing our formica counter tops with granite, replacing both bathroom vanities and the original yellowish acrylic tub and surround. The dollar signs grew larger and larger and since we were selling our home we just couldn’t put that much money into it — there had to be another way! I started looking into refinishing, as it seemed to be the cheaper alternative. I called a few places, including the miracle method, until I finally called Angel with Taken for Granite OC. His quote was literally hundreds of dollars less than the competitors and the results I got were unbelievable! I feel like I have a whole new house! The counter tops look beautiful (everyone I show thinks we got granite lol). He repaired and refinished a sink that was rusted out and damaged to look brand new. My old, yellowed, damaged acrylic tub and surround which would have been over $ 1000 to buy a new one and replace, he did for half the expense and it looks like a brand new tub!
He is so honest he even told me to look into how much it would cost to replace the sink (instead of refinishing), which I did and found that refinishing was much cheaper than replacing the sink. He is trustworthy, (we left him a key to our house with no concerns for 4 days) straight-​forward, and a really likable guy. He charged what I feel was a very fair price — AND didn’t change his quote even though an over sight by my failure to mention something caused him to do a bit more work.
He went above and beyond, keeping me posted on progress, cleaned up our messes we left on the counter tops since we left in a rush, and even relocated our shower rod and patched the holes without us even asking since it was in the wrong spot! That was so thoughtful of him!
In this day and age, it’s hard to find companies that aren’t trying to cut corners, and find people that care more about service/​quality than finishing quick. I trusted Angel to refinish every surface possible in my home, and he made sure he stayed until the job was complete and done right. I cannot thank him enough for his service, I am sure the end result of our home selling well above asking price will be solely thanks to him! I have posted before/​after photos on the photos page so everyone can see how awesome everything turned out! Don’t even consider going elsewhere, he is the best!
