My neighbor advised he has Salvation Army schedule to pick up items, should I have anything to donate. Well, one would think this is a done deal… NOPE.
ITEMS SCHEDULED TO GET PICKED UP ONLY.

Well, I meant to do a good deed.

So THIS is where my meth dealer shops.

Why should I buy here, when they get items for free, pay their CEO an exorbitant salary, and charge us 10 times what it cost for same item, brand new?!!
One crystal glass cost’s $ 7.50 a piece here, while the set of 4 is only $ 9.99, at several stores, including Ross, and Marshall’s. They’re often times ridiculous with their high pricing. Maybe things are reasonable, however, I’ve purchased several items for less, brand new, at Costco– especially stemware and kitchen items. Don’t patronize unless you’re getting a decent deal.

No, just no. This place is a straight up disgusting dump. I love thrift stores and garage sales. I love to dig around and find buried treasure but this place gives me the heebie jeebies and I have a pretty high tolerance for grossness. In the course of my thrifting adventures, I’ve seen customers scream at each other, I’ve seen two homeless guys threaten to beat each other up, I’ve seen a tweeker who refused to put shoes on after the manager told her to. Her reasoning? «A serial killer is after me».
I didn’t see any of that here but this place is just gross, dirty, overcrowded and overpriced. I found two items and waited for the ONE dressing room. A girl came out and told me «Don’t go in there. There is something really gross on the floor and their is no mirror in there. Ick. I held my items up to myself and guessed that they would fit.
I can’t say the sales help here is all that great either. I found a DVD with a broken disk inside. Instead of just leaving it on the shelf, I went to the back room where I could hear somebody doing something but couldn’t see anyone. «Hello» I said. «What» somebody shouted at me. «Ummmm, I found a broken DVD» I said. «Just leave it» said the unseen person.
Ok, whatever.
I wouldn’t return here if they were giving everything away for free.

The staff are extremely courteous and helpful. I enjoy visiting this location to donate and to purchase items that you cannot find elsewhere.

Wow did this really happen just now? I just stopped by to drop off and browse… And seriously these thugs were shoplifting the Salvation Army! Really? You going to steal from a charity?

They actually didn’t have a huge selection. They did have some nice furniture pieces I was interested in when I went, that were affordable.
But, they also had some belligerent homeless people just coming in the store and laying all over the furniture for sale. That was a big turn off for me. Made me want to just leave the store immediately.
Their system also has issues and goes down a lot so I suggest bringing cash if you shop here. The prices can be pretty high for basic «junk», so I would recommend goodwill or somewhere else (aside from the furniture).

I make this my first stop for all of my kids clothes. Mondays are $ 1 per item kids clothes. I got billabong hoodies, a Columbia jacket, Levi’s, blanket sleepers, school uniform pants… All $ 1 each. Another day is 50% off blue tags. I got everything my son needed for a school trip ($ 3 pants, $ 1.50 polos)… Everyday they have some sort of deal going on. I even got 3 pairs of ski bibs for $ 3.50 each during off season! Also great for costumes, suits for cotillion, first communion, etc. I love this place!
I admit the parking lot is tiny, but there is plenty of street parking. Never an issue. The store is tiny and crowded, but like items are together… Men’s, women’s, kids, shoes/​purses. It’s organized chaos. But it’s not macys. If you want a great deal, you’ll have to look through stuff and ignore the dust. But it’s totally worth it!

What a dump! Their sense of reality when it comes to prices is massively skewed. The opposite would be to go to Savers Thrift on Garfield near Magnolia. Order to the nth degree and no faint urine smell.

This place has horrible parking but if you wait, you just might get a spot. I visit here recently thinking its my first time though my husband says otherwise. anyways I came in and red the sales, but I read «50% off red tags only» so I looked and looked and found nothing in my interest.
As I was leaving like already outside I spot something for me. a bedding that has 3– written on it so I go inside to ask is this really $ 3? The cashier said yes and a customer in line said not bad for $ 1.50. I said what to myself and look up at the sale board again.
It says all 50% except red tags and new mattresses.. So of course I did a run around and found two more things I wouldn’t buy at regular price now 50% off :-)
I got snow-​like Infant books, wall coat rack, popcorn containers, & my bedding :-)
Overall store — okay selection & pricey if they dont have any sales going on. I’ll be back to check out the small finds.

This is my favorite salvation army location around. It is a large store with plenty of parking. I’ve had lots of luck finding great dresses and shoes here and I’ve come across some really cool furniture pieces. Even if I don’t end up buying anything, I still have fun just looking around.
I was a little perplexed by all the negative reviews this store has gotten. For the most part, I’ve encountered friendly staff and easy/​organized shopping here but when I go to a place like this, I don’t go for the friendly service or organized clothes racks. I go to find great deals and discover unique items. If you’re looking for a clean store with perfect displays and consistent service, go to target. If you want to fully experience this store you must be willing and able to hear screaming children while shopping, browse through bric a brac alongside a few tweakers and help yourself when the staff is too busy (or don’t want to help you because they’re bummed that they work 8 hours a day at salvation army!).
Check this store out. It’ll be an experience.

I love treasure hunting in thrift stores, but whoever does the pricing for this particular store is smoking crack.
I went in looking for vintage furniture and home accessories. I found a few things I liked, but the prices were simply too inflated to justify a purchase.
For example, I found a framed mirror I liked, but it needed a good cleaning and a coat of paint. They were asking $ 75.00. I asked if I could negotiate a better price considering the work it needed, and they said company policy wouldn’t allow for price negotiations.
I ended up going to Marshall’s three blocks away and buying a brand new mirror (similar style but perfect condition) for $ 30.00.

This is a horrible thrift store location. I’ve had them refuse my donations several times because the guy working was too lazy and didn’t feel like working. Must be nice to have so much inventory they don’t need to take anymore free stuff.
Parking lot is horrid.
Store smells like piss, ass, and cigarettes.
Selection is mostly crap.
Go somewhere else, this place royally sucks.

The parking lot is stoooopid! While it could easily accommodate another row of cars, it doesn’t and you’re left sitting behind the person in front of you waiting for someone to leave… TIP: Park on the cross street!
There was a lot of furniture, not a lot of housewares, like most SAs and a huge amount of collectibles that were really overpriced… At least sell it on-​line, not right in the THRIFT store.

The staff seems too preoccupied to help unlike other thrift stores I’ve been too. Got some cute new Steve Madden boots for $ 4! that’s a plus!

I love Thrift Store shopping… always have… probably always will. I simply have dreams of discovering that/​those diamond/​diamonds in the rough… that item or items I simply must have at a ridiculously reasonable price… like a NKOTB Tee for like a buck…
Alas while I did manage to find a couple of pretty cool items (to me at least) I just wasn’t impressed with this location.
It was kind of small and organization was barely existent. They have sections, but pretty much everything was just put in without any reasonable discernible order!
Service by their staff was really warm. I truly appreciated how genuine they seemed.
Nice thing about Salvation Army Thrift Stores is that quite often they have sales that make it even nicer on your wallet!

Clothing section was pretty good. Prices are fair for a chain thrift store. The housewares section is small. The red tag items make me laugh. They’re mostly junk but with «good labels» or something someone thinks is collectible so the prices are much higher. Anyway, worth a look if you’re nearby.

Recently moved and needed to get rid of some old stuff. I never like throwing books, clothing, and appliances in the trash. So I dropped off a first batch of stuff late at night. They were closed and there’s a sign near the drop off that says they encourage you to come back during the day. I think it’s because people cruise by and take the stuff before the Salvation Army can get to it. Plus you won’t get a receipt of you just drop it off and nobody is there.
Left the stuff in my car and came back with more stuff. It was too easy. They don’t even look at what you’re dropping off. The guy handed me a receipt and I was on my way feeling good I gave a second life to my old stuff.
I encourage everyone to just get rid of your old stuff and stop hoarding it. It probably means more to someone else than you.

There is nothing more lovelier than hunting through junk to find that one piece that you love. I love vintage shopping and this Salvation Army location had tons of stuff to look through. As with any thrift shop/​vintage boutique it’s always a hit and miss. I found a vintage Coleman ice chest for only $ 15 but I am alas thinking twice about my purchases. Do I really need that? Not really and in the end it will be in the garage up on the rack. So, for someone else it would be awesome. There was tons of furniture as well however nothing that I needed.
Clothing wise. There was tons of clothing but I didn’t look through any of it. Vinyl wise MEH…
