Description

Specialties

I specialize in infant care — newborn to 2 yrs. old. I realize how difficult it is when new mothers have to find reliable childcare and return to work so soon. You can rest assured that your baby is in good hands at TLC Home Childcare. I take pictures and videos of your infant during the day and send directly to your phone so you can see how happy your baby is while you are at work.

I am fully licensed, CPR certified, member of O.C. and Calif. Childcare Assoc. Excellent references.

Member of food program — all food and formula provided.

History

Established in 2005.

I was a counselor for 21 years both in Hawaii and Calif. I taught parenting classes to parents who were working with the courts for reunification with their children after losing custody. I have taken extended classes in child development. I raised my son and daughter as a single parent and both are college graduates, happily married, with successful careers. I also have helped friends and extended family members who were single parents with their children. My love of children, the need for great infant care in a safe and loving environment, and my desire to have my own business and work from home, all were contributing factors in my starting TLC Home Childcare.

Meet the Business Owner

Therese C.

Business Owner

I am a native Californian, born in Long Beach, raised in Lakewood. I graduated from Paramount High School. I completed my counseling courses at Saddleback College and my AA degree at Leeward Comm. College, Hawaii. I worked as a substance abuse counselor, primarily in psychiatric hospitals, developing and running programs. I was the Director of Long Beach Regional Drug Court from 2001 — 2005 when I decided to start my own business and work from home. I want to make a difference in as many lives as I touch and am passionate with everything I do.

I love being instrumental in the early development of children to help them develop self esteem, trust, along with motor skills and cognitive development. I love seeing the progress as they reach those milestones through teething, crawling, walking, etc. This is a very important time in their lives that will dictate how they feel about themselves and the world around them by having continuity in their schedule and care giving. And we have fun!
